I'm sure you are able to let out the property if you're posted away from the location of the property. For example posted up north for 2 years but have a property down south. That's what I've been told by Barclays
Yes we have keyworkers high on our priorities! We are actually creating another brand for that but have plans for videos on this channel within the next few months! Thank you for watching. Alex
@@alexkerrmortgage Thanks you Alex for your great videos. When covering the key workers, can you also include police officers if any specifics not just NHS please, if any information available...plus all other key workers. Thank you.
@@lindilekhumalo5926 Hi Lindlie, we are creating a completely new brand for key workers and it includes police officers! It's time to give something back to those who help me/us. :-)
@@alexkerrmortgage Hi Alex, Sorry I’m back again, just trying to get my questions answered as this is all very new to me. I understand that to qualify for the forces help to buy scheme you have to have served 2 years minimum service if you are in the RAF or Army. It doesn’t mention a minimum service requirement if you are in the Royal Navy, can you confirm this for me ? Regards Kane.
Hi Yalu, you should apply for that first at the point you know you will be buying a property, within 3 months. Please send in your full enquiry so we can provide some details for you - mortgagechain.co.uk/contact-us
Sorry for the delay, we don't get notified in every single comment and I'm just going over old ones ... It's the same as the normal equity loan. Here is a video - ua-cam.com/video/ZoO9nhquQ0c/v-deo.html
Great timing. I'm applying for the FHTB next week ~£17k, and using £23k of savings to put 20% down on a £200k house. Will the main banks object to lending alsongside the loan (specifically Natwest/RBS)? Thanks for the content!
Hey Ryan, im looking at using the FHTB early this year. Im finding it a bit confusing as a first time buyer so is there any way you could give me advice on how you went through the application and keep me updated on how it all goes?
@@chrisfox3069 applying is easy. Takes 5 mins on JPA and pretty self-explanatory. If you want to know all the details, read JSP 464, accessed through modnet. Or if you don't want to read the pdf, ask PSF at your duty station.
@@chrisfox3069 I will be yeah. It should be approved by admin within 24hrs but the drawdown time varies massively depending on who you speak to. I have friends who have used it and they say the latest you can apply for FHTB is 6 weeks before the completion date, as the funds are sent to your solicitor.
Hi alex , great video .. question : if i take out a forces help to buy but then leave the army before I have paid it back .. will there be any changes to the loan , conditions etc ?
Hi Jim, that needs some deep digging into conditions! Please present your enquiry here so we can look into it. Select "Forces Help to Buy" in the options. mortgagechain.co.uk/contact-us
Hi Jake, I would check your terms as they will show if you can redeem the loan and if there are any associated penalties. But speaking in general you can always repay an equity loan, you just need to check the criteria, as it could be different depending on the time that this is being sold in relation to the term of the loan.

Hi Conor, I am unsure of the rental criteria, and would come down to the lender... Sounds like you are doing the right thing in checking with lenders!
I'm looking in to it at the moment mate, apparently its for overseas postings
Can you do a video on council shared equity. and what are your thoughts on it. thank youuu.
