Love it. Back when the Pokemon Go craze was still huge and I was a lot younger, my older sister would take me to uptown to use the trolley and hit up all the Pokestops. While the trolley is free, the guy running it (I think his name was Sam the two times I went) is extremely kind so we always tipped him $5. It's a fun experience.
I see my favorite streetcar at the start.(4614-Margaret) Matilda(369) is their longest car and Petunia (636) is one of two single truck cars. One thing I do know there are plans to restore another car.
No problem! It was a fun ride! Blast from the past. I’m glad that street car line was preserved. Galveston used to have one but Hurricane Ike destroyed the line…Galveston leaders said that they’re going to restore…but I don’t know when.
It is a trolley not a train. And the operator is called a motorman. That is what us New Yorkers of which I am and also Philadelphia citizens also call them whether a subway train or a trolley.
@@HOUExplorer Sounds like fun, people will get to experience both new and old when riding side by side one another, it will be fun for both tourists and locals alike, and it will also really make up Dallas's economy
@@214dude2 True but I was in The Big D on a weekend in April 2019 and there wasn't much foot traffic in Uptown and Downtown. Deep Ellum had decent foot traffic Sunday afternoon though.
The Shell Gas Station at 5:05 is gone now. It’s a QuikTrip now.

@@HOUExplorer Galveston had one?
I didnt even know that.
I hope when they restore it, it'll make the loop along side the seawall
Yes, it was called Galveston Island Trolley en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galveston_Island_Trolley
2:26 home of the Dallas Mavericks (NBA) and the Dallas Stars (NHL)

Does this trolley go to Tahiti?!

Can you do the 6 Jensen/Greens route to Downtown Houston
Are you gonna see the trains at cityplace uptown station and post it on youtube today?
Not today, but I'm working on the edits.
Good video but in your descriptions you kept typing “of” when you mean “on” like “we are going south of cole” should be “south on cole”
Will the Srreet car and MLine connect to the Future Highspeed rail Station?
I think the Dallas Street Car, since the Texas Central High Speed Rail will be by Union Station.
That's route 712 m-line
Does it run alongside the Modern Dallas Streetcar or are they seperate?
For now, they're separate. But in the future, DART and City of Dallas are planning to merge the street cars in Downtown Dallas.

Did you film this on a weekday? Usually, it’s packed on weekends.
Yes. I filmed this on a Tuesday morning. I agree, the train is usually packed on the weekends.
OK, that makes me feel better about The Big D looking like a ghost town!
@@Frederick0220 well, we’re also in a pandemic
