Yes! If you don't like artillery I would recommend the age IV Kanuri guards shipment as it allow you to train them after sending the card. They are really good vs cannons.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but imo this game was a good showcase to why you shouldn't go for the 2 falcs with the Akan ff. It just slows down the build so much! Hausa could have been in brits' base at least a whole minute earlier, with Lifidi knights to snare any longbow. He'd have been in there before age 3 so no goons or 2 falc shipment yet. It would probably have won him the game then and there tbh. I don't even think the cannons add all that much to the comp. They hamper your mobility and don't really kill anything that the akans can't kill (as long as they get in range of course) so why even bother getting them when instead you can use your influence to get even more akans and your shipments to get more cav. With that out of the way, I think the Hausa player backed off a few times when he didn't need to. And I totally agree with you that he needed to expand his infrastructure more in the later game.
10:24 does outlaw attack buff akans? i love lifidis, especially if you get the age 4 card that gives them aoe attack or the age 3 card that gives you their upgrades for free/ cheaper.
Maigadi are insanly pop effecient units and probably the best musk in the game. However because they are musk they pair best with cannons which you also need influence for so in reality its really difficult to actually mass them. Also they need about 3-4 cards to be good so. They are fun but in my testing not viable in any format except maybe very long treaty games.

Yes it does! Yeah I love Lifidis too, they are the sole reason I started playing Hausa!
The card specifically mentions it buffs native units too.
Lifidis are nice but raiders are nicer :)

Its a mod! It's called "better UI descriptions" i think. You install it in game by going into tools then mods.

@@helly7385 yes the plan was initially to do both! However Ethiopia hasn’t been as interesting to me so I have focused on Hausa for the moment!
