Its a mod! It's called "better UI descriptions" i think. You install it in game by going into tools then mods.

Yes it does! Yeah I love Lifidis too, they are the sole reason I started playing Hausa!

The card specifically mentions it buffs native units too. Lifidis are nice but raiders are nicer :)

Maigadi are insanly pop effecient units and probably the best musk in the game. However because they are musk they pair best with cannons which you also need influence for so in reality its really difficult to actually mass them. Also they need about 3-4 cards to be good so. They are fun but in my testing not viable in any format except maybe very long treaty games.

Yes! If you don't like artillery I would recommend the age IV Kanuri guards shipment as it allow you to train them after sending the card. They are really good vs cannons.

Basically never 😅 Unfortunately they are pretty poor value as they are quite a bit more expensive than hussars and not really better. Especially when you factor in there is no age III cav combat card for hausa. The lifidi shipments in age 3 are great value but mostly I prefer making raiders. You get almost 2 raiders for the cost of a lifidi and they are faster, do more damage and have better siege. The only time I make lifidi is if I need a tanky snaring unit like when you are going Akan. If you are going Fulani jav then just make raiders instead.

It's a shame because the lifidi knights is the number 1 reason I started playing hausa, they look so damn cool

Yes this is a huge problem. If the Spanish player plays it well he will do enough damage before you get the Kanuris out in my experience. Having 1k inf without sending 1k inf is just really difficult and sending it is just too slow.

@@3DJakob-hx1hp ​ I think it's doable.. you just have to skip 2nd age 1 card (university + tp) and ship 700 influence after 700 coin in age 2.. 1st age up with berber and you train all berber vils in transition so you have strong eco.. so you can even do 5-10 raider semi easily.. you need to make university in transition with explorer and put palace behind TC so that he can't take it down with falcs and still can't push in rods.. (helps kanuri guard to snipe falcs) 3v > palace + 300 influence > 700 coin > 700 influence > Kanuri guards Go age 3 with akan to have some musk units as well to counter rods The success of build depends on how well you able to utilize 5-10 raiders you train in age 2.. if you able to take down forward outpost and spain's tp (you get decent exp to immediately get kanuri guards in age 3 and also delay spain's timing) But, again if spains plays and adapts well.. hausa can't win.. he can ship 7 rods age 2 and easily save outpost + tp and still get immediate age 2 shipment of 2 falcs

This build worked for me in 1500-1600 ELO range.. but above that ELO Hausa is just unplayable (Actually both African civs are unplayable above FF civs now.. they should buff Javelines.. need to fix their firing animation)

@@gopalbhardwaj6055 yes I think giving javelins a slight multiplier vs artillery would be a very good change. Or giving Hausa a 1 culv shipment age 3.

@@3DJakob-hx1hp more than the multiplier I think a better firing animation would be better. So that they can hit n run.. right now they are practically dead against rods.. due to slow firing animation rods catch them and then it's gg..

@@najjihnaa4324 its a setting it’s called super zoom or something. If you enable it you can zoom out further.

I do play lots of other civs but I don't know if that would be interesting to upload. When I created this channel it was because there was a lack of hausa coverage and they have a lot of units and mechanics people don't know about. If I play one of the more common civs I don't know if my video would have much to offer.

Yeah it’s a fun card! Not very viable in a ranked game though. 3 vills is just such a crucial shipment

@@H4NGM4NDVD I mean let's say you kill his explorer twice with it and get an extra 90 res treasure. I still wouldn't consider it nearly as good as 3 vills and that I think is very generous. Or am I missing something?

Yeah it is possible to pull it off in team games and can be pretty good vs greedy opponents. However in 1v1 i just cannot get it to work, it takes way to long to pay off and since you don't have minute men in the tcs it just is really hard to defend.

Well not going berbers gives up so much tempo since the nomads help you gather all the age up food. Also mecantalism for hausa isnt nearly as good value since it costs 1500inf. Because of that you need to send and gather your best shipment aka the 1600inf just to send mecantalism and then send the actuall shipments. In my experience it is just to slow and you give your opponent to much time!

@@3DJakob-hx1hp usually you are able to generate the additional 500 influence before hitting age 4 and thus shipping 1000 in transition would be enough. I can’t speak to the berbers part directly however it’s because it costs influence that it doesn’t conflict with either ageup nor production. I believe that the highest value fast industrial, is one that can generate full value immediately, which mercantilism allows you to.

Glad you like them! Unfortunately this is Hausas kryptonite. I well timed well microed spanish FF is just unbeatable. Like you said there isn't enough time to get culvs and the opponent can just easily snipe your palace. The best thing ive found is just to commit to age II and mass. Try to raid and catch his falcs and vills of gaurd. You should also get the vill hp tech in the market and be ready to vill pull if necessary. As for comp, focus on javs as they have multi vs falcs and can kite rods and lancers. Then add fulani and try to keep them out of range. Spanish FF is the most difficult the others are not as powerful. If your oppenent is slow you can sometimes get away with an FF into cannoneers but they really have to make a greedier slower build for it to work.
