Hello there, I live and work in Mallorca. Please respect this island as much as I do: do not bother residents with screams and shouts late at night, do not use glasses outside the bars after midnight, do not jump from a balcony to the pool (this is also for your own safety) and please do not leave any rubbish on the beach as the majority of the places here are quite wild and they don't even have dustmen or garbage collectors. Respect this island as you would respect your city, your house or your room. Mallorquines are more than happy to welcome you to this island and give you suggestions about places to visit, to stay or bars and restaurants where to eat, drink and spend some valuable time with your friends and family. Remember we live here, so please respect us and our environment first. Saludos. p.s. Also Gabriel went to Banyalbufar when he showed us he was swimming in a beautiful sea. Be careful when you drive to this destination as it is full of cyclists on the road.
@@michiferrucci I have heard that about Germans or British who are on holidays. Same happens here in Greece. But I think they are a small minority. They get drank and piss all over on Saturday nights in their cities also.
Most people only go to the beach and the bars there, getting constantly drunk, like I did when I was there almost 30 years ago, good to see you see the real place in the interior of this island.
Haven't been to Mallorca but just came home from Malta, awesome beautiful island in the Mediterranean that is its own independent country, highly recommend going there!
This is the first of your videos that I watched. Love your down-to-earth first-person perspective and how you seek out the authentic non-tourist experience. Subscribed!
Such a gorgeous island and little towns. It appears you have solved the stutter in your vids Gabriel. If it is still there, it doesn't bother my eye. Keep the vids coming!
Wow Gabe.. 😲😳😲😳😲😳... I could just pass away most afternoons sitting relaxing on one of those lovely quaint, photogenic and peaceful little squares. A nice chilled Cervesca in front of me just chilling and nooo stress... 😎😎😎😎😎🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Real Real Nice.... I knew you would find some gems exploring beautiful Menorca. You are showing us some real stunning parts.... Its a shame some or most folk only see the coastal resorts. 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Best way from Palma to Soller is on the narrow gauge railway (which can include a tram ticket to Port Soller) which was built in 1912. It is a magnificent feat of engineering going through the mountains with some excellent views from the original wooden carriages now hauled by electric locomotives from the 1930s - definitely worth the trip.
Driving in Mallorca can be tricky at times. Instead of taking the boat, my wife and I once drove from Port de Soller to Sa Calobra and it was pretty scary along those windy roads. We came across coaches on the journey and it was obviously us who had to reverse to make way for the coach. That was not a fun thing to do on those narrow, twisty roads high up in the mountains.
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
Lovely video, thanks. Mallorca / Majorca really is a paradise island. We mainly focus on the more touristy places in our videos but I hope this video will inspire more people to further explore this wonderful island. Thanks and best regards 😎
Hi Gabriel, Wow! beautiful water and mountain background I would hate to drive at night I bet no lighting around those roads. The one thing that turns me off is smoking is still allow everywhere even though I don't see that much in your video. Bread and Pastries are underrated in Spain there more well known in Italy and France but no less delicious.
The water looked very inviting and of course, this wouldn't be a Gabriel Traveler video unless you jumped in. I always look forward to the splash and the refreshing underwater footage. I also always look forward to an ending with you sitting somewhere in a cute little restaurant, preferably outdoor and enjoying some food. As you've said, your videos aren't food videos but nonetheless I enjoy footage of restaurants and food on your journeys. I have a question: Suppose you could stop the travelling for a bit to work on your next book or decided to write a novel, where would you stay for a month or two or three to get the quiet and concentration but also the inspiration? Just curious.
I once heard of a narrow gauge simens train 🚆 which runs from Palma to soller through the mountains 🚞 Orange Groves🍊 and ancient gardens laid out by the Arabs 🌴when they were here. The stone houses and the clear waters of the med make Mallorca a very beautiful place indeed You are carrying on with the Spanish theme to your travels which began with Mexico Hasta manãna & wishing I was there too
you got some strong nerve driving like that to a completely unknown country/area and finding your way - some terrific directional sense. I will be stuck - I find it hard finding places in my own country!
Good that you went to Soler Gabriel, Like I said in the previous video. Have you also visited Port The Soler? With he beautiful bay nearby Soler just take that train to it.
Everybody always ask me why i am so inlove with vlogs like this... And i never tell them my reason. But i wanna let u know : ) -It's because everytime i watch vlogs like this, i feel like i'm travelling too haha. ('Coz i never really experienced travelling to the places i love, + i'm young) pag iipunan ko pa para balang araw makapunta din ako sa mga ganyan ka gandang lugar...
Beautiful video! Mallorca looks so tropical! Your videos are nice and smooth at 60fps, I can't wait until UA-cam can playback 120fps video to make this even more immersive.
Gabe, you should check out and do a video in Magaluf (aka ShagaMuf). This is the party town. I remember it was your Greek island party video that went viral and catapulted your subscriber count. You could do similar with a Magaluf video. Also, right next to Maga is the family-friendly Palma Nova. I remember when you went to Ibiza you said you'd have to go back in summer. Will you on this trip?
When you rent a car for a few days, do you stay in hostels or hotels since you travel alone most of the time. I would sleep in the car or camp to save money if your on a budget. Spent 3 months once in Holland and Switzerland sleeping in a car and camping in nature and washing in rivers.
Great video. Heading to Mallarco in a couple weeks for a 10 day sailing trip. Hope to encounter some of these small villages along the way. Keep up the good videos.
I went there and the island is lovely although I’m British so of course I’m not used to heat so it was so hot let alone there was a heatwave at the time everyone was having a siesta and I’m multiple locations in the video I was there
Get you & your hire-car like a regular tourist! 😂 cracking music btw Gabe. If you've not heard him before have a listen to Paco de Lucia, imho the king of flamenco...especially love his pairing with El Camaron on a tune called 'Como El Agua'
How interesting! This was nothing like the Mallorca I experienced more than 35 years ago - but of course, I was very young then :-) Have fun and enjoy your trip to the fullest!
I screwed up. I thought you had not been to ibiza as yet, and urged you to go there in another comment under one of your most recent vids., but, i guess I can still urge you to go there this year, possibly? Man, at 05:54 ... that wah-wah is almost flourescently aqua, in colour isn't it? Man, crazy!
@@GabrielTravelerVideos And, believe it or not (Ripley!) there are one or two places in this world to which you have not been ... imagine that, eh? *Winking at you*
Hello Gabriel! Such a beautiful country. The Central Plaza was very nice. I loved the quaint little village.. With roads that narrow you need a motorcycle. I know a car is much more comfortable and cool... Thank you for sharing your amazing tours of Spain with us. Take care Gabriel and God Bless you! 💮😃💮
It would be interesting to see a typical house for sale and maybe an interior view, in the towns you visit, to let our imagination wander. Like your videos.
Decided to see what Airbnb had to offer, since the hostel prices were so high. Had no trouble locating simple, clean (according to the reviews) private rooms with shared kitchen area, washing machine and lift for ~$50 USD/Nt. Just wondering why you didn't go that route at all? All booked up because of your last-minute plans? Loved your video, of course!
Cool video Gabriel.. Mallorca seems like a nice place. Very scenic as well. As for the driving, must be a European thing with narrow roads and traffic driving in your lane.. Safe Travels.. :)
Hello... Gabriel... Super excellent video... Perfetto... Bellissima Mallorca... Take care of yourself and Got with you always... Compliment... Ciao grande simpatico... Gabriel 👍👍👍👍

If you get the chance you should take a look at pollleça, the most beautiful little town and the beaches around the area are gorgeous x
Yes I was born in Spain all the things you said in Mallorca as I was born there is a quiet calm and respectful place so u have to do the same
Portocristo, to SIllot, Sa Coma, Cala Millor and Cala Bona over on the North East corner are epic places to visit.

That´s a very windy, dangerous road. Been on it some years ago to go to Sa Calobra and back. It was pretty scary!
i traveled over 40countries, but i never heard this beautiful place. i envy you~!!!💕
It is the most visited island by Europeans. Many celebrities from Europe and the United States spend the summer there.
Yes it's only the most visited set of islands by British and several North European countries as its easy/quick to fly there.

Yeah a totally different world outside the city scene.
Soller isn't really just a normal town. It's perhaps the most charming and exclusive villages on the island. Hope you took the streetcar to the beach.
