Hi Amruta, we previously used to employ GG drills for better access to the critical cervical third of the canal. Burs are not suggested due to chances of perforation..!! I am sorry to say but as an endodontist with 15 years of experience most of these laws do not hold valid when you are locating canal orifices as there are many anatomical variations esp in 2nd and 3rd Molars ... in theory yes but practically very different
