Another q if I may, re cylinder head pressure and catch can configuration. What's the best way to run this system given the factory PCR system is set up to run at na pressure?
@Jakob Shier-antulov I was initially not really happy about losing the 4th overdrive. My builder has told me that the 80's suffer the same problem as the 60's. 3rd and 4th clutch kits burning out. I have recently purchased a t400 and in the middle of getting it built atm. I've killed quite a few 4l60e's in the past 6 months, enough that I could have had my 400 put in. Not going to experiment with 4l80's...
no, I had the 4l60e built and have been driving it pretty carefully. So far so good with the occasional hard time. But I think in time I'll get a 4l80e built. Really want the overdrive rather than the th400.
I just want to give people a heads up on this (as an update)... I've blown 3 4l60's ...on my 4th....in the last 2-3 months not doing anything really silly.....my last one was just a 4th gear power run..torque is a real issue with these things... currently getting a turbo 400 put together with the longer term solution of a gearvendors for an overdrive.
@@Chuckmeister200 hopefully that'll hold together, running an Eaton m122 on a 5.7 here with a rebuilt T56 exedy clutch kit. Holds up nicely, you're obviously putting a heap of torque through the auto. Hope the t400 brings some results for you 👍
Harrop and holden go together like bread and butter... she's a beauty mate.
Congrats and the build, Nice set up. Hope it brings many years of enjoyable driving and cruising. Sounds tough
Wow what a sick ride
A bit of a squeak there. What’s that?
That sounds soooooo good. I bet you can’t stop smiling when you drive it.
Cheers mate. It could be a belt but I'm suspecting it might be piston slap from being cold. It disappears after a minute or 2.
tensioner pulley for sure i had same noise look at it move when he revs it sloppy as
@@DOMTHESAUSAGE Yeah your right. Sprayed a little silicone spray on it and went away immediately.
Seriously considering supercharging my LS1 VX also. What kind of $ for engine/supercharger package?
Its alot more than its ever going to be worth by car value :P Fun factor though is awesome.
Haha of course. You would be mad to expect your money back selling it. I’m expecting it all to cost me far more than the car did.
Hey mate where did you get your intake from? In the middle of doing a 2300 myself and live around the corner from what I've seen aha
The intake was fabbed at Nelgs Ali Mods in Rocko 👍

And ya ran that at 500+hp with a 4l60e?? Knew I was right, when I was telling me mate about how the stock trans can take abit hahaha...
Hey bro curious why 4l80 not t400

What's on the cards with the transmission bro, t56?

@@Chuckmeister200 no worries, I'm gonna go watch it again, sounds terrific 👍
