If we get a trans patient who was born male but transitioned to female and is on hormones, or vice versa, then how do we treat those patients? In which category do we treat them because to what extent do hormones really affect the overall exercise?
That's a great question. The ACSM consensus statement linked to below suggests that testosterone exposure increases athletic performance even if it has not always been present. So, a man transitioning to being a woman by blocking testosterone will remain athletically advantaged. Likewise, a woman transitioning to being a man will develop athletic advantages if they take testosterone boosters. In both cases, they would be advantaged over cisgendered women but disadvantaged vs cisgendered men. journals.lww.com/acsm-tj/fulltext/2023/10130/the_biological_basis_of_sex_differences_in.5.aspx
Hello teacher, I want to express my gratitude for your valuable information. I have a small request: could you please focus on your pronunciation? I'm watching from KSA, and as English is my second language, I often watch your videos twice. I truly appreciate your way of explaining physiology, and I'm grateful for the knowledge you share. Thank you once again!

I do my best, and will continue to do so. I hope you are able to understand the concepts despite my struggles with annunciation.
