Thanks for the video! I’ve been thinking of doing this for my young trees since like you, I spend too much time watering them. This was very helpful.
FANTASTIC!!!!! I just used your video and web page to order all the parts for a system of my own. My wife and I are planting 32 Thuja Green Giants and your setup is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much for doing this!!!!
How did this work for you?please let me know.... I need to do the same for 40 thujas.
This video was VERY, EXTREMELY.... HELPFUL. Thank you!!!
You're welcome
Want a straight trench? Set up a guide string between two points.
That looks like a good solution at a discount price.
What about mushroom/bubbler heads? I think those run at around $2 a pop too.
That is hilarious about the pipe thread comment. I have been in the steel pipe business for 30 years and I still have to ask what all the abbreviations are about.
Got my computer backup and running but like you I'm to tight to get a replacement for my 10 year old computer. I did have to replace the motherboard and power supply but both those were less than a 100 bucks.
Still trying to find upgrade parts for my Apple Lisa so I can utilize VGA and USB 1.1. Anyone know if I can install Final Cut Pro, Adobe, and Pro Tools on it? Thanks for the help! Does anyone have an old floppy disk version of it I can borrow? I tried to hook up my iPod to it, but Apple said I have to upgrade first. I'm not sure what I need to add to the Lisa to upgrade it in order to run Windows 10 since the version of Avid I have is for such-- or should I be using Sony Vegas? It's all so confusing. I'm just getting back into personal computers as a hobby since taking a slightly brief hiatus from it all. I'm interested in trying the new DOS platform or possibly a great leap forward to an iMac G3 so I can run my X-Plane 11 Global Flight Simulator software. I think the modern iMac G3 will give me more realistic flight graphics! Any thoughts or suggestions on how to get it to look like I'm flying a Gulfstream or maybe even a Concord?
😎
You could always chalk the line or use spray paint
Sir I am really interested in setting this system up. How is it working for you so far?
I love it
Can you please share links to get complete lists of your irrigation system?

Can you provide a parts listing for the irrigation tube to hose bib connector that you made? I can’t readily y find some of the parts online. Thank you.
It's in the description. I bought all my parts at Home Depot. Just go in and talk to someone in plumbing. They will help you.

Is that tubing strong enough to bury inside the ground? Does it not have to be a white PVC schedule 40 pipe or at least 20 pipe?
That black tubing is made to be buried in the ground. You don't really need the pvc, you can run irrigation tubing the whole way. It actually holds up to uv better than pvc
Is this true for all sizes 1/2 and 3/4 and all wall thickness type? I have a garden 250 feet from my water tap so it thought of digging it 6 inches deep so that frost would not get it.
Hi
Great video!
Is that timer with batteries ?
Where did you buy all those parts?
In the description
Yes, the timer runs on 2 AA batteries
Is the back flow preventer required on a system this simple?
Depends on your city and state regulations. But I see them required by code almost everywhere these days.
Simple insurance incase you use pesticides and herbicides
What kind of hoses do you use? I would like to the link please.

Why didn't you run the trench straight to the closest tree, maybe the 6th one in the row and then split left and right from there? Lots less digging!
I have 2 rows. So I did run to the closest tree and just went past it. I then only had to move both rows in one direction. Also with one pipe I would have needed a lot more joints.
Thanks for the parts list.
Can you put the black plastic pipe you are using on the list?
or
Is this not the same plastic tubing you used on the raised garden beds???
or
List both, lol.
Thanks
It's on the list here: www.growyourheirlooms.com/drip-irrigation-parts-list/
Sorry I missed it. Thanks for your help!
i think drip irrigation still would be better a few emiters per tree
Maybe but this works like a champ for me
where do u have the filter?
No filter. The sprayers I'm using are much larger than small drip so am not worried about it
@@Growyourheirlooms oh wow I bought the brass nozzle sprayers.i been looking for something like this for a long time.thanks to your video.🤗👍
I know I'm straight!
And then if you live in Northern Minnesota you have to blow it all out, otherwise it's pointless! Maybe I should stick to fishing...
I blow mine out also. I did a video on that. Only takes a few minutes
@@Growyourheirlooms In Ohio I use King drains on ends of all lines (poly and PVC). I am on 3 ac with tons of sprinklers and valves and I never blown them out. Hope it helps.
@@troyhickman8577 what do you mean by blown them out?
@@webmash8878 I never have needed to use compressed air to blow out the lines. The King auto drains do the for me here in Ohio. My valve banks are on quick-disconnects. They are unplugged and removed for winter. Same goes for the DCA (backflow preventer).
"take a crow bar open your wallet" lol 😎
Actually I cheaped out. I did them for about $75 bucks. Money well spent
Not a drip irrigation
If you would have watched the beginning of the video, I explained that
But this isn't a drip irrigation system..
Yes it is. You can set them to either drip or spray. Your choice
“with the sole purpose of confusing everyone on the planet”
Right out if the Democrat playbook... LOL 😆
