How to Write Fulbright Personal Statement

- Learn some strategies and tricks to write an impressive scholarship application essay! This essay tells about your life story and has a lot of weightage in your scholarship application. This video is focusing on the Fulbright Scholarship essay; however, the strategies can be implied on other related scholarships as well.

Notes:
The essay tells your story. It's your reflection.
1. Temporal growth. (school/home/ university/internship/inspiration/experiences).
2. Be specific ( write specific points about a certain person or a certain course that had an impact on you). This makes your essay more personalized.
3. Mention struggles! There's nothing wrong about showing your vulnerable side. So mention the struggles that came along in your journey, how you overcame them, and what outcomes they have made you reach.
4. Show a vision about where you are standing and what you are doing now in your life/career, relate your choice to the time you are living in and what's happening around the world. Connect your existing story with your future goals.
5. Cross-cultural information. (learn from another culture and share your own culture) Merge your field of interest with cross-cultural info in your ending paragraph.
-Write in first person.
-Make it easy to read, don't exaggerate in vocabulary usage.
-No quotes.
-Be reflective.
-Read samples.
-Review. (reread, rewrite)

Hi, is it important to have a 3.5+ gpa for this scholarship for a computer science program and also do we need a 2 to 3 years works experience??
Work experience is not a requirement for Fulbright Scholarship. 3.5 GPA was the requirement only for 2021 intake (due to pandemic, they tweaked the policy a bit)

In scholarship box, you can enter any scholarship or other type of funds you've received over the years with the amount and funding source.
In articles, you can mention if you have publications, book chapters, blog, or articles published somewhere (like newspapers or so).
If you have none of the above, that is fine - you just leave it blank or write none.

You need to briefly relate your work with the personal aspects and events in your life. This will highlight your growth personally and professionally.

How to Deal With Return Policy Bond & Any way to tackle it ?
For Fulbright you sign the bond to return back to your home country after completion of your studies. For the minimum duration of 2 years (varies as well for PhD) you cannot work in the US.
@@hadiqamaqsood Yeah someone told if u got j1 visa through fulbright luckily then u can change it by 3 ways - 1 start bussines - 2 get hired from uni or private company - 3 cheap way of looking out of marraige for sake of PR if someone agrees - mam all 3 these are tricky , illegal or stupid fake rumours ?
