@@buzwefani6984 nope, it’s not his first interview - he’s had many, just that our digital footprint is not as wide in terms of interviews .... but just do a search here on UA-cam & you will find other interviews with Spikiri alone ....
Can I tell you something about David Mashabela at the same time not taking away anything from all other great interviews? I watched tons and tons of Spikiri's interviews. Possibly all of them that are out there. I even thought I knew Spikiri in and out. But watching this interview, for the first 17 minutes everything he was saying I was hearing it for the 1st time. Mashabela brought out the Spikiri I have never seen before in the past 20 plus years. His style of interview has a way of making his guests to easily open up about themselves and be comfortable about it. I will forever respect him for that. Mashabela my man you are the greatest. You are the chosen one for this thing. And Spikiri you are everything I ever imagined you to be and beyond. Both of you guys are the best of the best. Ke tlala ka lena gaan en terug. Damn!
Growing up in Meadowlands zone 9, was always special seeing these guys and their friends influencing a positive lifestyle outshadowing the crime that was happening around...Now we need Jakarumba to sum it all up 🤟 Topa nama Mashabela🔥
Sounds like he is a shy quiet guy, making it difficult to extract information from him. He gives one sentence answers or agrees with what King David is saying Thank you for the music Spikiri
The Quincy Jones of kwaito, I'm from meadowlands zone 2, and Trompies members are so humble, they feel like immediate family. God bless Mindlos and Trompies
Spikijo is such an introvert but David was still able to guide, steer open the conversation! Experienced broadcaster! #MzansiLibrary #MzansiHistory #ILoveThisChannel
David may we please have MDU MASILELA on the podcast, his music career and history deserves to be captured and archived. Furthermore he is connected to most of the interviews I've listened to on the show. He was a big part of our youth and still in our adulthood.
It always amazes me to see someone as great as Spikiri humble. I bet he even forgets how much of an African treasure he is! You can't talk about the baseline and not mention Mandla. The same way you can't mention the best producers to even emerge in SA and not mention his name! Simply The Best.
Bring them on King David for as long as you have the strength. It's crucial that their stories get told....by themselves. Valuable job you're doing. And the variety of languages makes these so appealing and authentic. Thank you.®®®
I had to watch this interview after watching the one ya Jairus👌👌👌❤these men are legends,I live their friendship and brotherhood. There's so much I didn't know about the King Don Father❤
Great interview. Mandla's music brain is second to none. Unique and signature sound that cannot be missed by anyone who knows his sound. Genius and peerless
I find Bra Dave is opening up more about himself there more he brings these legends. One thing I am loving about these stories is that for the first time this generation of artists is given a platform to reflect on their successes and you can see in Mandla's eyes as he reflects in his library that some of these things he has not thought of in a long time. Ta Bra Deza
I was very privileged to have attended the same Academy the same year with this humble legend giant,we attended the same year with Selaelo Selota,Moses Taiwa Molelekoa, the late Nay Zimu,Rapulana Seiphemu the late Lesego Motsepe, the late Sibongile Khumalo and mam Sophie Mgcina were music Tutors My english teacher was the late bra Don Mattera my art teacher was Bab Durant Sihlali all the greats were there.
People don't understand how wild this guy is. He's seen the very pit of Wilding. Everyday of his life was a party, their songs were about his real life. He seems calm like he does not understand what's out there 🤣😂😅😭
Eish man King David, i like your humer...you are real and i swear you not doing this for views or anything, Just want to insure that our Legends are well documented...God bless you
David Mashabela you are the king of interviews bro, i enjoy your work a lot. Having this Legend in studio was a blessing. Been smiling from the beginning of the interview with the King Don Father. 2 Kings in 1 room🔥🔥🔥🔥

Great Interview. Mandla is not particularly a talkative person, Bra Mdeva did good to get him talking and relaxed. You can see towards the end Mandla elaborates a little more. Now we need Chicco Twala to come complete this puzzle. We heard Linda Mkhize, Spikiri. We only missing Chicco Now. Hope he'll agree to come to the podcast.
I like the way spikiri to never forget your family that s great the other pipul who are on top they don't look down or back to their families I appreciate legend 🙌

That R100miliion question (1:40.00), David was really trying to maybe trigger some energy out of this interview considering what Mandla has done and achieved but still Mandla is unable to express himself and its not his fault as he earlier mentioned that he struggles to express himself due to his lack of education. Great legend thou!
It’s true that when music bug bites you. You can’t run away from it. You dream about lyrics and beats in your sleep. Besides the ones you do in the studio instantly. I’m leaving that life. But I’m more of a business person now than a creator.

Most South Africans don't have the slightest idea of the legendary level of this musical genius. Maybe one day they'll recognize.
