"He's my only ally, he's my worst enemy.' I read 'You Deserve Each Other' earlier this year and it automatically became my all-time favorite romance book. I've read it so many times since and each time I fall more in love with it because it's written so beautifully and the dynamic between the main characters is something I haven't ever seen before. Second chance romances are very hit or miss for me but this book perfectly captures the conflict of falling in love and Naomi's personality just makes it even better. She's so entertaining and passionate but I personally love how honest she is. The first half of the book shows her describing what it's like to fall out of love with someone and it's kinda sad to read but it's so impactful and pivotal to the development of the story and their relationship which eventually blossoms into the most amazing love. There are so many quotes in this book that gave me literal chills and I genuinely can't wait for you to read it because I know you'll love it. Love your videos xx

Yes! Steph please read the Brown Sister series, they have such great representation and are surprisingly steamy (even if the covers just look like cute contemporary romances).
I don’t really hear many people talk about these books but ‘ The Sun is also a star’ and ‘ Instructions for dancing’ by Nicola Yoon are my honestly my favourite books ever. TSIAAS is insta love but it’s done so well
UGH girl i just struggledddd through the Atlas Six and finally had to DNF. I wanted to love it so bad but it just wasn't it. I really don't think you'll vibe with it (the romance is like nonexistent along with the plot lol). But Layla and Verity ahhhhh so freaking good. So different from Colleen Hoover's other books but I think they're my favorite! (besides Ugly Love ofc)
I’m on the third book of the Blood and Ash series and it’s sooo good. The first fantasy type book I’ve read especially because I’m obsessed with romance. But it’s so good, the books get better as you go along. The romance between them is so good it’s like a strangers to friends to lovers to enemies back to lovers lol there so many different tropes and the plot/setting it so magical. I love it and think you should read it !!
Early for once, also I love how all the TBR books just went over my head because I spent entire time staring at 'When heroes fall' and ' When villains rise'... I mean!... you can't blame me! They just sound so good
you'll be OBSESSED with the brown sisters series. absolutely incredible. especially act your age eve brown :) but everyone has a different favorite !!!
BEFORE WE WERE STRANGERS was AMAZING it was literally an emotional rollercoaster I don't think a villian" in a story made me hate them as much as the one in this book. I litterally bawled my eyes out towards the end. You need to read it soon.
The atlas six is an amazing book, and the writing is so god damn good. I definitely haven’t read such a book before, it’s a kind of fantasy, but so much more. It’s a pretty heavy read, the writing style is really good, but also very complicated and sometimes I had to put the book down because so much information came my way it kinda gave me a headache. However it’s definitely worth reading, the characters are so interesting and complex, and so are all the relationships in the book. And the plot is crazy! Definitely recommend you give it a try, even tho it’s not your usual go-to.
my opinion on the atlas six: i love dark academia and i’m typically a fantasy reader but it wasn’t really my cup of tea. the characters were amazing but there was almost no romance. idk it just didn’t click with me, i needed more romance. but the ending was so so good, and did make up for most of it
Steph if you haven’t read the ACOTAR series (I see two of the books in your piles!!) PLEASE DO!! I know it’s so hyped up, but it’s hyped up for a reason. SO SO good. I just finished the last book (more are coming) and I have such a book hangover.
you deserve each other, the bride test and the elements series (minus the fire between high and lo) are one my favs books ever u should really read them soon!!
Steph!!! Alex Approximately was the first book I read that started me on my book obsession. (I read it last December). It's a really good book with a nice plot and in my opinion it's executed well. It's basically a teen summer romance where this girl goes to live with her father in California and has a enemies to lovers situation with this boy she meets. But turns out that boy is the same boy she's been talking to online for months and also happens to live in the same part of California her dad lives in. Her and that boy don't know they were talking to each other online so that causes a bit of drama. (These aren't spoilers by the way and I hope I explained it well)
I read the Air he Breathes by Brittany C Cherry when it came out and it's a good book. Her writing is so easy to get to and her characters have a lot of emotional depth. Im gonna get to the rest of the books. Also you need to start the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi as of yesterday. I read Shatter Me and a companion novel to one of the characters and the writing is superb. Like SO good and poetic. And one of her characters in that book is one of the best written and complex male characters I've read in a long time. I had to move so most of that series I have in storage and have not finished. but I just might buy them again to finish it because you reminded me of that series. And I get so much tbr guilt 😅 so I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with a massive tbr. but I do get you, I'm a mood reader but I need to get back on track lol. Happy reading💚
The first four books of "the camorra chronicles" are absolutely AMAZING especially the second and the third book. Also i personally liked the Camorra more than born in blood. I hope you get to it soonner than later.
alex approximately is literally one of my all time favorite books, it’s definitely ya but still so good and so cute. it’s rivals to friends to lovers but it also goes deeper than that, and i recommend it so much! you should definitely pick it up soon!!
Hey Steph, Layla is most definitely a spooky time book. Tbh it’s definitely more fitting to the Halloween vibes than verity is so make sure you read it in that video !
You should DEFINITELY read Gus by Kim Holden. It's painful but so wholesome. And I love Gus's character soo much (tbh it gave me harry style's vibes). Also can't wait to see your reactions on reading the camorra chronicles series by Cora Reilly. xo
Your videos is helping me get through my sickness so much 🤧 I haven't been able to do anything but lay in bed and shove meds down my throat for the past few days. So thank you so much for making these every week you have no idea how much your helping people ♥️
From knowledge YT, the “bound book” you were talking about is actually called an “omnibus”. A book from the same author that contains multiple stories previously published separately. Another example of this is The Vampire Diaries, His Dark Materials, LOTR, The Assassin’s Blade, etc.
Definitely read If I Never Met You! I recently read it and I thought it was so good. I loved it cause a lot of the book was about the MC finding value in herself after a long breakup. Very much women empowerment which I loved!
the ACOTAR series is amazing!! I only like reading romance as well and never really tried anything else like fantasy but then I read ACOTAR and now I'm obsessed. You will literally fall in love with Rhysand and the other boys
@@noorrr.s I have it on my shelf right now in my never ending tbr pile but I’m waiting until house of sky and breath comes out to read. But I’m very very excited to read it I’ve heard great things
Do ACOTAR's reading vlog closer to Nov/Dec. I think it'll be better for you then. And Steph, when you read it you'll fall in love and wanna reread immediately I swear
THE ATLAS SIX is literally one of my favourite books of ALL TIME. really not much romance but it is unlike any other book, olivie blake is insane. i would do anything to read it for the first time again!!
OMG ME TOOO i seriously dont think people understand how amazing this book is!!!!!!!! i would also do anything to read for the first time again in just one sitting omg
honestly you have to read the devil’s night series (look at the tw maybe before) but it’s just so good! i understand why people wouldn’t really like the first book especially if you’re not into dark romance and more into swoon worthy stuff, but it actually can get so emotional and you really end up loving the characters (well most of them anyways 😭) but it just was quite a ride!
@@robertbob4636 michael was definitely my least favourite horsemen bc sure he was charming a bit but he was also such a jerk and never got much character development unlike the other boys. like i dont condone damon’s actions at all, but he was more interesting to me that michael was. i quite like rika though tbh which i know is an unpopular opinion.
but some things she said to alex was a bit annoying like it seemed like she was shaming her a bit at some points which i really didnt like. i prefer rika in the later books than the first one.
@@robertbob4636 yeah there’s no denying that (ESPECIALLY at the beginning of the series and in Damon’s book) damon isn’t a good person. i always like reading about the villain more than the hero though. funnily enough, kai and damon are my favourite out of the four because damon’s the most interesting and complex and kai’s the nicest one (i think, will wasn’t too bad either). I mean i say all this but although i love the series i still remember that it’s fictitious and if any of this was to happen in real life, i wouldnt like any of the four of them lol.
You should read All Our Hidden Gifts by Caroline O'Donoghue! It is so underrated. Its a romance/sorta realistic fantasy/magical! It's my favourite book! Also I love your channel!
i also mostly read romance but The Atlas Six was amazing!!! it has dark academia, low fantasy vibes with not much world building which i liked. the “academic rivals to lovers” actually have 0 romantic interactions but the banter and the quotes are SO GOOD and they are basically soulmates. it is a series so in the next books they will probably get together or at least i hope so. it is not a romance book but you can tell that in future books the possible couples will eventually get together
The “Shatter Me” series is definitely my favorite series of fantasy books tbh. I read all the 6 ones in like, a week. ACOTAR is good as well, but the last book was a disaster. I hated it
@@0fficialselena__90 yes, the first 3 books are amazing, you should really read it! I mean, it's only worth reading until the first, because, unpopular opinion: the 3rd is the best!!

Yes! Steph please read the Brown Sister series, they have such great representation and are surprisingly steamy (even if the covers just look like cute contemporary romances).
Verity was my first Colleen Hoover book and it is what made me fall in love with her writing. I read it one sitting- it is sooooo good
I don’t really hear many people talk about these books but ‘ The Sun is also a star’ and ‘ Instructions for dancing’ by Nicola Yoon are my honestly my favourite books ever. TSIAAS is insta love but it’s done so well
The Sun is also a star is really a good book 🤍
UGH girl i just struggledddd through the Atlas Six and finally had to DNF. I wanted to love it so bad but it just wasn't it. I really don't think you'll vibe with it (the romance is like nonexistent along with the plot lol). But Layla and Verity ahhhhh so freaking good. So different from Colleen Hoover's other books but I think they're my favorite! (besides Ugly Love ofc)
steph = comfort person
love ur book video & vlogs
Long shot is sooo gut wrenching and so good! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!!
girl your videos make my day, also lowkey ultimate comfort videos to binge too!!
ACOTAR is actually my favourite series I have read from YA, I think you will love it!!
Early for once, also I love how all the TBR books just went over my head because I spent entire time staring at 'When heroes fall' and ' When villains rise'... I mean!... you can't blame me! They just sound so good
I also recommend The shoe fits by Julie Murphy a modern day version of Cinderella ❤❤
you'll be OBSESSED with the brown sisters series. absolutely incredible. especially act your age eve brown :) but everyone has a different favorite !!!
Act your age Eve brown was my fav!
I'm reading the grishaverse right now so I'm super excited to see your vlog !!
BEFORE WE WERE STRANGERS was AMAZING it was literally an emotional rollercoaster I don't think a villian" in a story made me hate them as much as the one in this book. I litterally bawled my eyes out towards the end. You need to read it soon.
Alex, Approximately is literally my favourite. So similar to Punk 57/Dirty Letters but its YA. You will love it!! Cute, summery vibes
you and haley pham made me loooove reading. i used to never be able to pick up a book and enjoy it. so thank you -3-
The atlas six is an amazing book, and the writing is so god damn good.
Steph read Alex approximately right now!!! it's so good and such a goof romance it's my fav book ever (enemies to lovers as well)
Verity is 10/10 so good! You’ll love it
I feel like this was a sign telling me to finish my tbr 😂
Wait for you will NOT disappoint! Yes they can be read as standalones! ❤️ love
my opinion on the atlas six:
i love dark academia and i’m typically a fantasy reader but it wasn’t really my cup of tea. the characters were amazing but there was almost no romance. idk it just didn’t click with me, i needed more romance. but the ending was so so good, and did make up for most of it
i think in the second book there will be for sureeee!
Im so ready for the Six of Crows reading vlog, its so good trust me!!!!!
The first four books of "the camorra chronicles" are absolutely AMAZING especially the second and the third book. Also i personally liked the Camorra more than born in blood.
I hope you get to it soonner than later.
I really hope you get through SIX OF CROWS because omfggggg give me one person who didnt love and gushes over it!?!?!? THEY DONT EXIST!
The way i quickly stopped everything i was doing just to watch this video😂🤍
alex approximately is literally one of my all time favorite books, it’s definitely ya but still so good and so cute. it’s rivals to friends to lovers but it also goes deeper than that, and i recommend it so much! you should definitely pick it up soon!!
Hey Steph, Layla is most definitely a spooky time book. Tbh it’s definitely more fitting to the Halloween vibes than verity is so make sure you read it in that video !
I love Alex, Approximately!!! Such a fun lighthearted read 💕
You should DEFINITELY read Gus by Kim Holden. It's painful but so wholesome. And I love Gus's character soo much (tbh it gave me harry style's vibes).
Also can't wait to see your reactions on reading the camorra chronicles series by Cora Reilly.
xo
Before We Were Strangers is literally one of my favorite reads this year! It needs to get more hype
I have read Verity and it’s really dark. It was so interesting to read, finished it in one sitting! The ending was totally unexpected-
Your videos is helping me get through my sickness so much 🤧 I haven't been able to do anything but lay in bed and shove meds down my throat for the past few days. So thank you so much for making these every week you have no idea how much your helping people ♥️
THE ROOMATE IS SO GOOD PLS READ IT. it’s not what i expected at allllllllll. (i might be insane for actually liking the cover)
From knowledge YT, the “bound book” you were talking about is actually called an “omnibus”. A book from the same author that contains multiple stories previously published separately. Another example of this is The Vampire Diaries, His Dark Materials, LOTR, The Assassin’s Blade, etc.
Alex, Approximately is a cute summer read
It’s kinda enemies to lovers. A little predictable but a very cute read
Read crescent city the tension in that book is chefs kiss the first 200 pages is world building but worth it
I knoww
@@noorrr.s I have it on my shelf right now in my never ending tbr pile but I’m waiting until house of sky and breath comes out to read. But I’m very very excited to read it I’ve heard great things
I kept on focusing on the selection in the background- I flipping love those books
Do ACOTAR's reading vlog closer to Nov/Dec. I think it'll be better for you then. And Steph, when you read it you'll fall in love and wanna reread immediately I swear
Exactly I am obsessed with it I have read it like 5 times
yesss so truee! and she will be obsessed with Rhysand like all of us
@@Nina-jg5gh no, not everyone, I am Team Tamlin
thank you Steph!! we all really appreciate you just making our days better :))
You’re going to love Acotar. I only read romance before I read SJM, I love the romance so much in it. I love the steam. I live for the series rn.
I just finished marriage for one and was like let me go look for a book in stophs recent vid only for this to pop up😝💜 i was right on time:)
Yay!! I am blogging Verity too this year!!
honestly you have to read the devil’s night series (look at the tw maybe before) but it’s just so good! i understand why people wouldn’t really like the first book especially if you’re not into dark romance and more into swoon worthy stuff, but it actually can get so emotional and you really end up loving the characters (well most of them anyways 😭) but it just was quite a ride!
Yeah Erika and Micheal were so annoying to me
@@robertbob4636 michael was definitely my least favourite horsemen bc sure he was charming a bit but he was also such a jerk and never got much character development unlike the other boys. like i dont condone damon’s actions at all, but he was more interesting to me that michael was. i quite like rika though tbh which i know is an unpopular opinion.
but some things she said to alex was a bit annoying like it seemed like she was shaming her a bit at some points which i really didnt like. i prefer rika in the later books than the first one.
@@delicatestyle1330 def understandable. The thing that bothered me about Damon’s book was the girl was underage 🤢, which happens a lot in pd books
I just read Alex Approximately and I loved it so much
the fact that there’s no book of the month in australia is so sick and twisted 😐😐😐
There's no book of the month in Canada. I feel your pain :(
Literally same I’m waiting for it to come to New Zealand like I need it so bad 😭
WAIT WHAT I didn’t know that
i think it's only in the us :(
Ruby Deeth we have something similar called “book a buy” but it’s like 40$ per month... no thanks
omg reading blog about shatter me series! Yes!! You’re gonna love it
You should read All Our Hidden Gifts by Caroline O'Donoghue!
I hated it
Everyone has told me to read the first 3 books and not the whole thing?
@@0fficialselena__90 yes, the first 3 books are amazing, you should really read it! I mean, it's only worth reading until the first, because, unpopular opinion: the 3rd is the best!!
@@0fficialselena__90 but if you're talking about The Shatter Me series, then is worth reading the whole thing
@@isabelabellini4836 okay!
@@isabelabellini4836 So should I read the whole series or just the first 3 because I read the first book!
Steph, you NEED to read "Call Me By Your Name"!! You're gonna love it
layla was really different from any romance i've read, i think it would be great to read right now for a spooky vibe in october!!
my birthday was yesterday and when I tell you I’ve been in Waterstones for HOURS searching for these books high and low. Your recommendations make me so motivated to read it’s not even funny. I’m just about to start the after series right now and after reading the prologue I’m hooked. I also just brought shatter me, one of us is lying, and I’m soon to buy the ACOTAR series.💕
Verity is a well-known CoHo book with a mind-blowing twist. I read it in one sitting in April.
Hate is a strong word but I failed to enjoy Layla. It let me down completely. It’s like a drop in the bucket compared to Verity.
One of us is lying is entertaining too. You gotta dive into it because it’s an easy read.
I've heard that Layla was super disappointing. I think im gonna pass on that one. But Verity was amazing!!!
i was literally watching old videos of your channel and this popped up & i just quickly pressed on it!!
here are the reasons for you to read the six of crows duology based off all the things you said in ur other video abt what u love in books lol:
guy loses mind when girl is injured, italicised quotes, multiple povs, found family trope, it’ll make u cry, short chapters, ‘leave you thinking’ epilogues, memorable settings
i promise you will not regret reading this!!!
