Track tests are fine, but I really appreciate the "real world" tests like this. I'd be interested in a naked version of this one (the bike that is, not the reviewer!).
This is my idea of a sports bike i don't need 200hp ,it's quick enough and reasonably priced
Yes exactly I do agree 👍
Great video love the bike. But where is the hypamotard rebuild videos I was enjoying them lol
@@andreipulosul1492 you get what you pay for 100hp vs 150hp with all round better specs and its a way cheaper option to the litre plus superbikes except for GSXR1000R
@@Mark........ hmm where im from its 18k euros, same price as an s1000rr
@@andreipulosul1492 im genuinely surprised just did a currency check im in New Zealand at our conversion rate its about 13k euro and base BMW s1000rr is around 19k euro ...crazy
at last someone road tests V2! I'm far more interested in this bike...good work!!
Bike design is coming on in leaps and bounds at the moment. Until this week, I thought the V2 was the most interesting sports bike on the market. That was until the Aprilia RS660 launched. Lighter, shorter, next gen electronics, sensible ergonomics and a totally adequate 100bhp. I love the direction of the new middleweights.
Yes very interesting bike
When I bought the Honda CBR650R with 94 bhp a year ago I would have agreed with you about it being enough but I test rode the Panigale V2 in Autumn and now I’ve bought one. What a machine !
V2 is the one to have. V4 is really just a status symbol on the road, and an animal on the track. V2 Streetfighter would be awesome 😎
Dude,
You're absolutely smashing it.
This bike definitely looks like it's more fun to ride than the V4s and that's what it's all about when you're riding motorcycles. Fun factor!
Great video again chops....looking forward to the full review😊👍
Shame about the good old British weather though......always happens when you want to take a motorcycle out on the road.💦
It has plenty of HP for the public road. 150 is insane on such a light bike. If you’re pushing it to the limit in traffic, that is just Darwinism in motion, but at least you’ll have a sexy and stylish death.
Now I'm not a sports bike kinda guy but I really enjoyed your review of the new Ducati jet ski 😛. Thanks for the entertainment.
Bought one a few months back and love it. It gets a bit hot in the saddle in the height of summer but it's quite pleasant on cooler days!
Nice to see a road test in the rain.I got absolutely soaked in Yorkshire on Saturday and it certainly sharpens the old reflexes and concentration.Good review as always.
Love your new speedboat with the V2 inboard!!
Real world test. I like it. Cant wait for the 900 Ralley Pro video. Well done Choppsy.
Great to see a Ducati being used properly, not just on a sunny day! If you fancy trying a properly sorted V4S let me know, certainly won't have trouble lifting the front wheel on that! J.
Well done review as usual, Chops 👍🏻 Good on ya for rippin in the rain 🌧 Roads were more suited for a speed boat! #RESPECT
I think my Firestorm went better in the wet, sometimes its quite possible to have more fun in the wet than dry, probably because your not really supposed too. Love the test.
Still looks good, even in the wet. Love this bike. Chopsy another brilliant vid. Your opinion matters👍
Thanks Andy 👍
Top test that seemed to cover most types of uk roads, great exhaust sound.
Wet weather grip looks good! Testament indeed to the mechanical grip, power delivery and tyres!
The induction noise off of that is lovely 😍
Thanks Chops, that was tres enjoyable. I reckon the all-important word 'fun' should be the reason why this bike is preferable to the all-too-serious multi-cylinder, track-focused missiles - that are far too much for real world riding. 👍
Absolutely Brilliant Mr Chops
I love it let’s hear the soothing idle that dares you to twist the throttle
That list of upcoming stuff didn’t have a single thing I wouldn’t want to watch! Can’t wait!
Good news Timmo 👍
Chops your the Tops your the only tester I’d have let ride my bike just love your exuberance it’s tempting but I’m not gonna ride one until I can afford to keep the moto 2 as well or it may be a problem!
Panigale, sovereign of the seas - great video!
Real Life Test on the Road is whats matters - THX! Track Tests are hhmm... for most of us - if it works on the road it will even do better on track.
At least Ducati have included a boating capability to the v2😂🤣
Nice one chops. Enjoyed that and looking forward to seeing some more on the v2. 👍
Hi just ordered the Streetfighter V2. Have you reviewed it yet?
No not yet Stephen, hoping to soon 👍
G'day Mr Chops. This was a really good video, on the edge of my seat watching it. Gee that was a lot of water.
Gimme the V2 over the V4 anyday. It's a far more tractable machine and easier to get the power down, 150+
HP is more than enough for me. What a beautiful machine.
Great vid & review & a very spirited wet ride chops. Proper real world test for a jet ski lol let alone a Panigale. It looks like it has loads of grip. Very impressive. Like it a lot & much prefer this to the V4, but hoping they do a V2 Streetfighter soon as well.
Think my future is a V2, really fancy one when they become a bit more affordable on the 2nd hand market, Cheers Chopsy
I think twin (ie., not many) cylinders is a large part of the tyre grip equation (thumpers being even better). Widely pulsed delivery of power gives rubber the time to recover and 'flow' into the surface it's on and when the pulse arrives at the point of contact, it's pushing against a coefficient of friction that is closer to it's STATIC value as opposed to its KINETIC value of friction (for rubber against road). Kinetic vs static friction = it's easier to keep an object sliding than it is to start an object sliding.
Also as rubber approaches it's deformation limit it becomes harder and and can't offer as much friction against a given surface. Relaxed rubber = grippy rubber.
What this translates to is more confidence leaned over in a corner, and more explosive (initial) acceleration.
Good job sir.
As an American watching you. I would say, if you can't ride in the rain, you will never ride 🤷♂️. I imagine the UK as rain and cold.
Weather has been pretty good here this year - blinding Spring during Lockdown, reasonable Summer too,but once you get to late September early October its like someone Flicking a Switch, we get a Conveyor Belt of Storms from the Atlantic that just keep Dumping the Rain.
Cracking review... I was at a Ducati dealer last week and the V2 is a real option. Hopefully I can test one in comparison to my zx10r-c2. Keep up the great work. 👍👍
It doesn’t get any more real than this 👍
All weather, all conditions, all bikes , ... all likes !!
You are still the KING , Chops 👑
Keep it up !! 🤙
Looks and sounds awesome chops look forward to some dry weather vids on this beast :) very nice mate
Brilliant as always 👌 You will have to get some water wings. Keep up the good work buddy!
In "road" mode there's a slight lag in the throttle response on my V4S,it's softened but in "sport" or "race" mode it's ultra snappy, just like my 1198 was
Love the show chops. Love to see a bit more off old vs new as 20k bikes are not an option for me. Love to see you test and here your opinion on maybe a back to back with a 2000 zx9r vs 2020 zx10r for example. Be interesting to see which is more fun on the road.🏍👍
that bike would be fun in the hills I just watched the beginning of a full exhaust swap looks like quite an endeavor but I guess everything that's worth it always is
Jeezuz that looked like a real blast and fun.
I spent the day with MCN testing this compared to my 959 so it will be interesting to see what you think of her as a long term road bike.
Great video... I have been asking myself for ages shall I get one.. but then I think I like the v4. But it's a waste for me on the road. I think your line it has everything you want from the v4 but more practical.. .. its gotta be the v2.. although I did have a look at a h2 but had to tell myself stop dreaming where would I use it. Great vide thanks...subscribed.. cant wait to see more v2 footage
At least you can test ride the V2, here in Perth WA they don't even have a demo bike to try, so pretty disappointed, can't sell any if you don't have any! Guess I'll stick with my cbr650f. by the way love your vlogs Lamby, keep them coming!
Excellent video. Seems a well capable bike. Thanks.
Great fun chops. bike looks fantastic would love one excellent video thanks from Danny
I had a gsxs 1000 a great bike. Can’t wait for your review
Real review is right , that's how I like them. From what I have seen it looks like a modern day gixer 750
I’m picking mine up next week
Seems like a more realistic proposition for road use, I'm sure the V4 is awesome on track, but how many riders do track days.
I'd still chose a supermoto and keep my license though.
Excellent review LCR, brave but great fun!
Great job again Chopsy! What's your view on the looks? Lines look cleaner without the wings I think. Though I do love the Great white shark look of the V4S. If the wings were carbon then perhaps they'd add to the looks a bit more than the plastic ones.
Well if it’s good in that weather it must be good in good weather, and a 10k money saving awesome
I thought I recognised some of the roads you're on in your videos. I live near Silverstone aswell :)
Looks slick!
Think you did exceptionally well considering the conditions.
The smaller V twins are the best bikes Ducati make, I’ve had an 899 from new and it’s got over 25,000 miles on it now, it’s took everything I’ve thrown at it in its stride, had some great tours on it, why people buy them and hide them away in the garage baffles me, get out and ride them !!
Not tempted to trade the 899 on this V2 until Ducati do a “ V2 S” model with ( non-electronic ) Ohlins and Brembo M50s, but I doubt if Ducati will do that as I think even they realise that no one would buy a V4 then!
Be interested to see your final review
Another mega review chops that bike looks the berries
Talking about berries you don't hang about in the wet!! What tyres is on that beastie?
When you getting an 890 I can't wait for u're review?
Thanks Scott, tyres are Rosso Corsa 2 but honestly I think its the bike stability more than the tyres.. 890 unfortunatley my loan got cancelled :-( going to be next year now
Could you tell us which tires were fitted to that Ducati? Seemed like it handled great in the wet. Love your videos and a real world test as that’s how I use my Panigale apart from riding in a mini river 😂
Looking forward to the V Strom 1050 base model and GSX-S1000 reviews.
Great video chopsy, as all ways less is more.
Great review as usual 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great video again chops 👌🏽
Superb first impression thankyou! Subbed.
Welcome aboard matey 👍
Awesome video Chops!
Please will you ride the ducati diavel 1260 s.
I would like your opinion between the diavel and the triumph rocket 3.
Very interested to hear your final review on this bike
Now this is a real world review top work 👌
Great video chops, can’t wait for the next instalment 👌
can you get hold of the 890 R?
Just remember that 44 Teeth vid when it comes to wheelies Chopsy..
As for the V2 - sounds nicer to me than the V4. Nice bike
Yeah nothing to see anymore on my channel regards wheelies! Good news on speed though and helmet cams 😁
@@LambChopRides and the over taking on double white lines! Never even knew I could do it if I stayed within them..
Yes true!
Much braver than me on those wet roads :)
Cool fun review, what gloves are you wearing? Thanks
Hopefully you get a go on the Aprilia 660 really interested in that bike
Yes hopefully soon 👍👍
Great vid nice weather for the ducks
Cracking video. Looked like going out of Buckingham roads.....
This is solid... exactly what I'm looking for.
Lets have a V2 Streetfighter version please.
Kind of bizarre to think 25 years ago, this capacity and configuration would have been bigger than the flagship 916 of the day!
I agree not really a middle weight
Ducati s first sub aqua Panigale 😀 - Not sure why you aren't getting 100k subs yet 👍
Some Morning Chopsy! work day saved lol
Great video looking forward to next one stay safe 🇬🇧👍🏻
Your sound setup is very good. Do you have an external mic near the exhaust somewhere, or is the bike that loud?
I wonder if it's more worth it to buy an Aprilia 660 for the V2 experience and just save some cash?
It would be great if you would be able to get a 996 and a 999 to compere them with the Panagale V2. Cause the first two were Ducatis top of the range bikes at the time and this is an evolution of the 848 and so on. So not the range topper of its time.
“Riding someone else’s bike in atrocious conditions , weather I’d never take the H2 out in”
There, fixed the title for you....
Love your videos!! I’m actually thinking about trading my 2016 R1 for this bike in white. Love my R1 but the V2 has more useable power for the street. Thoughts?
How many other sports bikes would you have felt comfortable opening the gas in those conditions Chops. The 200+ bhp brigade would get the old sphincter clenching on those wet roads. Good real World review. I have been looking towards a White one. Can’t wait for next years riding season. Bring it on !! this is my first test ride next year 😏Thanks Chopsie 😋8 thumbs down I think some Extinction Rebellion types have found your channel 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Roll the intro chopsy. Another great review from you.
Chopsie that was a proper Itchy Boots moment there in the flooded road ;)
Not sure I'd of risked it with all those floods, I think i would of chickenend out and used the A43, M40 and A34. Lovely looking bike though even if it is a bit heavy on the hands! 🤣
Nice video as usual, even if I ever had the cash for either bike I'm not sure I'd get one tbh! But that's just from the vids I've seen, riding them might change my mind, who knows lol
Please review the KTM 890 Duke R 👍🎉🔥😀
What a bargain 😀, I might be tempted
Chopsy how did you end up going through Chearsley twice? Right after the deep river crossing! I live in Cuddington the neighbouring village
I will try very hard to avoid needing the voting mode on the V2 I am buying !
For me, Im torn between the V2 and the ZX6R. The heat from the exhaust and battery issues are putting me off the V2
Its all about your environment, America has incredible highways!! So V-4 for me!! Chops should ride a 450-Supermoto for those roads!! Must suck not experiencing high speeds on a Liter bike!!! Wow the new Fireblade-SP is incredibly planted at 155-mph!!! Night and day different from the 2017-SP2
Watching chopsy! 👀 can't wait to hear what you think!
Thanks Kate 👍
Bloody love that lid but can't bring myself to spend£600+ when I don't need it😄
Have to say best lid I've ever owned! But yes pricey
