    We are developing programmable and highly maneuverable quadruped robots for STEM education and AI-enhanced services. Its compact and bionic design makes it the only affordable consumer robot that mimics various mammal gaits and reacts to surroundings. Its innovative soft joints reduce wear or shock and extends the lifetime of hardware. An Arduino & Raspberry Pi board excel in adaptive motion and mind separately, which allows simple coding (C & Python) and control (touch, infrared, BLE, Wifi, voice, vision) interfaces.
    We have made 7 iterations within past 1.5 years. We got 2 lines of working prototypes. Model Mini is a stand-alone motion kit powered by Arduino. It holds all the skills for gaits and adjustment on a $2 micro-controller. It's also the lightest and fastest 8-DoF quadruped robot ever. ModelB has more sensors and an upgraded motion module. It adds an idle RasPi as brain to make decisions and communicate with Arduino. It will generate more behavior, personality and emotion in future upgrades. Our long-term goal is to make ModelB a naughty hub for domestic AI services and companion. Its open-source nature also brings in unlimited possibilities for 3rd party developers.
    This video shows the development stages of my robotic cat. It is now patent pending. We are currently forming a startup and looking for potential collaborations. I can be reached at: rongzhong.li@petoi.com
    If you are interested in the cat and want to have one in hand, please like the video and share. I also love to see your comments to make it better. Your support will determine how soon it will be available on the market.

    Great job! Awesome achievement Li! Congrats. Can't wait your next enhancement. As it is now, it's really really an incredible robot with so much valuable features like AI and pretty access to Alexia. It took you just 18 months to get it at this stage. You and your one-man team definitely are hard-workers with great talent.

      Yeah he got all the publicity from the name and from a Hackster post that listed it as GPL, and was going all around the open source community talking about how open source is going to make the world a better place, then sold a million dollars worth of 2 different commercial versions instead, and never did release the source for this one. There's always OpenDog though which actually is open source and educational

    so writing each running mode as a seperate subrutine and then select between the subs by depend on enviroment and you have adaptive behavior. have you tried to use a ldr sensor to detect size of let say tiles? i was thinking if you had a black tile and you used a simple counter until the sensor reached a light tile by sweap then stop the counter, and then use the number in the counter to measure the width of the tile by transelating the total count to centimetres. im not sure if you could do it this way but just an idea to see how far primitive tech can get to pattern detection.

    Very interested. As an AI student I work with other platforms, such as NAOs, but due to their high pricings it is not feasible to work with robots which are of interest at home.

    • @petoicamp
      @petoicamp  Місяць тому +1

      The code is open source at github.com/PetoiCamp/opencat. The later ESP32 version also works if you swap a BiBoard for Nybble, allowing more programming space. github.com/PetoiCamp/OpenCatEsp32
      The serial communication protocol is universal for our controllers, including the mobile app, mind+, and Python API. After connecting the nrf24 module, you can wire your module to UART or SPI with some modifications in the code.
      The explanation is in docs.petoi.com/applications/skill-creation
