I think Gojo being the mentor is the most important part of his character that gets forgotten sometimes. Gojo himself is kinda stuck, he's the strongest, always has been always will be, but he has no reason to live outside of keeping the status quo. The whole reason the bad guys are so hung up on getting rid of him is because he's so strong and they can't change the world with him in the way. He knows he can't really change anything so he becomes a teacher, which he sucks at, to try to raise a generation that can make some actual change.
Gojo feels like hes the MC and the story is being told from the perspective of those around him. Everything about the story hinges on Gojo. Is based around Gojo and needs Gojo.
this!! the shibuya incident literally happened because of gojo...and even the current manga arc. the jujutsu society revolves around him. not to mention, hes the only character who got such a fleshed out backstory of 15 chapters...not even the literal protagonist has that.
@@rumi1970dgthat's why Gege knocked off Gojo in Shibuya, because he can't progress the story with Gojo in it. He's the Strongest, and to have a good story, the world must acknowledge it. Subsequently as well because it does, he's fleshed out to this extent.
Nah. It revolves around Kenjaku and his plots. With all the natural karma Jujutsu. How fate hinders him. Gojo is just one of the six eyes - Limitless users hindering him.
@@rumi1970dg i mean its not like itadori really did anything of interest before becoming a sorceror. do you want 15 chapters of itadoris relatively normal childhood?
@kintokisa uhh. No. Just because Kenjaku orchestrated the plot doesn't mean Gojo isn't basically the MC. We've seen this exact concept over and over. Centuries old villain hold a grudge against a powerful family until a fated one ends him once and for all. Gojo.
well technically speaking if Sukuna is defeated by the students then it'd be the first time the reverse has happened. As Gojo lost the fight himself, but succeeded in hurting the next generation to handle what he couldn't@@rushpatriot2866
I love Gojo because despite his outward appeal of cocky and stupidly overpowered, he actually has a lot doubts about himself and his ability to stand up to the challenge of being a pillar of Jujutsu world that holds everything in check. He also is very supportive towards weaker than him, despite not actually needing this kind of approach because with his power he could easily behave like Sukuna does, but instead he chooses much more dangerous and tough path of being a teacher who builds up people around him, instead of being a calamity that destroys everything on its path like Sukuna does.
Funny enough as strong as he is I actually always saw him more human than anyone else. All the silliness adds realness to his character. Him drawing penis note to annoy with Nanami is something I would do (or did when I was younger). Prob why I like him so much is his personality.
IT doesn't matter, Gege thrown out of the window whole Gojo character. Fuck Gege and his pathetic ass, I hope somebody will off screen him too @@Bunny11344
@@faintfives Yeah my stand on Gojo remains untouched. It is Gege who tarnished his honor with this chapter. I believed that his personal beef with Gojo will remain his own and that he will not completely murder his most popular character he ever created out of spite. But I was wrong.
I mean lets be real, people love Gojo because for the first time in anime we have a strong good guy who the enemies are actually afraid, actually have to plan how to beat him. Not like in Bleach you have Yamamoto the strongest shinigami and yet Aizen does whatever he wants, here if somebody makes a wrong move they know Gojo is gonna end them.
i think the thing that really makes him stand out is his humanity. he is the strongest but he has weaknesses not linked to him beings the strongest. geto? the most important person for him, one of his weaknesses, and is not something that can overpower him, but he surely can be used against him in the worst ways, because gojo is genuinely an human being who feels affection and can't deny it. what makes him really interesting is this human part of him, where he's not the strongest and he makes dumb choices because he decides to allow himself to act with his heart, always resulting in this being used against him.
@@rushpatriot2866 he's literally one of the most multilayered characters out there. he has many flaws that balance out his strong qualities, he has both selfish and positive motives, he has power but can't save anyone which makes him tragic - it's a good complex character who is not black and white. because we have a lot of good guys who are pretty straightforward and simple. we have Sukuna who is a very basic villain in terms of motives because he just wants to fight, kill, and make everyone suffer (I hope Gege will give him a good backstory at least). thank god for Kenjaku, who's a more complicated villain, Geto who has a good downfall storyline and Tengen who's a grey character. out of all the "good" guys, i'd say Gojo is the most complicated. and his main role and goal in the story were to raise a stronger generation that would help each other out and be able to change the system. I think we're going to see a lot of that in the future chapters.
@@rushpatriot2866 Bro just said Gojo isn't even top ten well-written characters in JJK, that's so insanely braindead I'm convinced you aren't human. He's in the top 3, top 5 MINIMUM with Geto probably being top 1 or 2.
I think the one thing about gojo that makes him really appealing in my eyes is that even though gojo has all the power in the world and is canonically blessed through the entire series, he has never won where it matters. he could do everything right but the odds where never in his favour and that makes his overpowered character so realistic and within reach
Akutami's ability to write compelling characters really outshines alot of other mangakas rn. You end up both envying and pitying gojo, kind of like a modern 'tragic hero'
@@kareemmohamed184 I would say the opposite. The names of most if not all the characters of the cast are given names that are connected to their personality or their abilities.
[Manga Spoilers below] In some ways, I think his appeal and charisma are so overwhelming that it blinds a lot of people as to what the actual intent of Gojo's character arc is, as a storytelling device. The characters in jjk are vessels to convey a particular theme or concept as much as they are fully fleshed out and believable personalities. It's what makes them so good, and I think you miss out on a lot by ignoring one in favor of the other. The fact that so many people got angry about his death chapter and called it a character assassination is telling. It was particularly the assertion that his primary motivation is strength, as opposed to mentorship, his dream, or anything like that. It was also him using a metaphor of caring for plants to talk about his students because there was a line between him and everyone else "as living organisms" that bristled a lot of people because of how much that implied he's been looking down on everyone all this time. But being a mentor or an agent for societal change has never been what Gojo's character has really been about. Gojo is conceptually about what it is like to be the strongest man in existence. Like he said, it's not that he doesn't care about his students. But he sees them, and everyone "below" him, as being inherently incapable of empathizing with him. And he's wrong. Gojo has a God complex. It seems people don't want to acknowledge this, or at least use those words outright, because again, his appeal makes a lot of people project what they want to see, so even his flaws get glossed over to be easier to stomach. Like yes, he was a lonely child who was unable to make real connections because people only saw him as a weapon, but focusing only on that leaves out the reasons for his isolation that are entirely his own fault. Being "the strongest" is extremely destructive to Gojo's sense of self, but Gojo still clings to it to the very end. His fight with Sukuna was the culmination of his ongoing identity crisis over the course of the series. The question that Geto asked him before he left, which was essentially, "Is power all that you are?" is one that he hasn't been able to answer, and has been actively running from. In fact, he misunderstood the reason Geto left in the first place. What he thinks is implied from what he said to Megumi -- that Geto left because he could no longer keep up with him. Gojo revels in his own power. It is the cornerstone of his worldview. He lives for it, and it's all that he has, because he thinks (wrongly) that it is mutually exclusive with making connections with other people who aren't on his level. Shoko even mentally berates Gojo for this when she says, "What do you mean, alone? I've been here all this time". After Geto defected, Gojo and Shoko were the only ones in their year left. He could've confided in her. But it's clear now that he probably didn't even try. He is like this for some reasons that aren't his fault and for some reasons that are. He was spoiled by his clan and literally told from birth that he was Built Different. Almost everyone he's ever met treated him like it too. But at one point he had an identity outside of being "the Strongest", and that's when he was Geto's friend. Then, after the trauma that Toji inflicted on him, he never let his guard down again. He became so inhuman that he isolated his best friend. Even so, he still chooses to be like this a full decade later. Gojo's agency in his own tragedy is the thing that makes him the most interesting and appealing to me. His belief that power makes him categorically different is affirmed by his technique. I really like Kenjaku's quote that "each technique is its own world-view", and how it applies to Gojo & Geto especially. Gojo's power means that he cannot rely on anyone. Those weaker than him only get in the way when he's fighting. The infinite space between himself and others is what makes him nigh unbeatable. All this translates to strength and solitude being one and the same. So of course it's what Gojo believes. But it's been shown on quite a few occasions now that Infinity can be breached. His technique doesn't make him a different species -- he is still human, and he dies in an incredibly visceral and human way to an attack that ignores his infinity altogether, as if it was just illusory. But because he is human, that means that he should have been capable of forming connections if he allowed himself to be vulnerable -- if he dropped infinity for long enough to let people in. But in the end he failed both at being the strongest and at making connections. He fought only for the sake of satisfying himself, but deep down, he was unsatisfied.
I think that him being revived actually would tie a nice bow to that interpretation. In the sense that I think it's more interesting for Gojo to finally define himself outside of his power, than to leave that unanswered, I don't want him to beat Sukuna, I just want a proper conclusion to Geto's question to him
@@kalanielibrenoklinke9440 I agree!! What I've really wanted out of Gojo's character this whole time was for him to be forced to contend with his weakness while he was still alive. I still have my doubts as to whether that will happen since Gege has not been one to deviate from his greek tragedy-esque method of writing character endings... People rarely get a second chance to fix their mistakes in jjk. Usually fatal flaws live up to their name. But I don't necessarily think him getting revived would be forced or cheap. One can always hope.
I interpret the flower thing as him being misunderstood by everyone but being looked in awe. All his actions have shown that he does care & he himself even had doubt during the Sukuna fight in losing and can acknowledge when something is troublesome or has potential, even lifting his students up and telling others that soon they’ll rise up and one day eventually surpassing him. Gojo seems to be very empathetic & tries to cheer everyone on but deep inside seems to be crumbling like when he had to off Geto but was being cheery for Yuta. Straining himself for Riko but putting on a facade he was fine & being pissed abt yuji dying
@@anthonybrito2610 He does put on a facade, and it's because he thinks others aren't capable of understanding him. He cares deeply about his students, but he doesn't fully grasp the struggles they face on the path to getting strong, like how he can't teach simple concepts because of how naturally they come to him. He only sees the flowers, not the mud they grow from. Conversely, he also hasn't processed his own trauma that led to him shutting out the world (which in his mind is synonymous with strength). Gojo is kinda fucked in the head and that's why I love him ❤️
Oh my god this was beautiful, an amazing character analysis Although im curious about your perspective on his goofy and aloof persona around the students and how that plays a part in his characterization and role in the story. Bc it seems so at odds with this densely complex and flawed man that we ultimately got. Bc some people just like him he’s an all powerful haha funny sassyman yknow? A lot of people say it’s a front or something along those lines, but I wanna hear your take

First time I watched JJK I knew Gojo would be my favorite character but I’m also aware of the type of characters I like. Strong & ALWAYS carrying the weight of the world which makes me eventually hope that they get the chance to be free and live their life without that burden anymore. It’s the same way I felt about AoT’s Levi, known as the strongest human, as much as I love seeing him in action watching the sacrifices he had to make, made me want the character to be free
Gojo is such a complex character, been a favorite of mine for a long time. I very much enjoyed your analysis of him, made me think about things I haven’t considered before. Great video 🖤🖤
Also, I will say the metaphorical implication of nobody being able touch him works so well especially with his own flower allegory, noone truly touch him metaphorically and literally, its been there from the start, that loneliness.
Gojo is a fascinating character because hes OP, everyone KNOWS hes OP and he can back it up at every occasion. its not a bluff or just his confidence speaking, he just OP.
Especially the way JJK story is written by not having enemies suddenly stronger appearing out of nowhere and with Gojo being a constant threat to the enemies Edit: Nevermind 💀
Very good analysis. I've seen too many people write Gojo off as a cartoonish cardboard character. You did a good job laying out why he's a well written character.
You exactly listed why I love gojo. Omg. I stupidly relate to him so much. Especially the loneliness. ON GOD. he’s the BEST. Thanks for this wonderful analysis!!
I feel that Gojo in a way also makes the reader believe in his unwavering strength and position as the strongest. Like us reader also got to a point where we depended on him showing up and fixing things; which I think its why 236 is so hard for some people to process.
I just wanna say how well put together your script is. From the introduction to the anime, to the bridge into what the video is about and clarifications and then into the body. Idk man I just like the flow of the video. Mad props dude 🤝🏾

Genuinely I don't know if any character in anime has this much appeal. He gets the best fights, his personality is amazing and lovable, he has a really cool character design AND with all that, he is carefree and confident, charismatic. Such an amazing character and I 100% agree that the characters make the show. One Punch Man - one of the best shows ever without a doubt, carried by amazing characters like Saitama, Mumen Rider etc., everything the show has comes from that the best example is Great Teacher Onizuka. A good anime better than most but there's nothing really special to it, just only one really good character that the story does anything you can imagine around. Great video and I 100% agree, Gojo might have the best appeal in anime. The other characters are amazing too though in JJK, not only Gojo, but Itadori, Fushiguro, Nanami, Todo, just so many amazing, extremely well written and appealing characters, it deserves it's success. The animation is amazing but jjk goes so far beyond that. It's a show where everyone will have their favourites, because there is so many good characters, and Gojo, Itadori and Fushiguro are three characters that almost everyone will love and probably one of them will be their favourite. It's also amazing how every character is given everything, in a lot of shows characters other than the main character is neglected, but here how many times do we see every character, including characters like Maki and Nanami shine because they are always given that moment every time they are involved with the plot. Genuinely one of my favourite anime and it's just so good, deserves the love and it's amazing to see a good new shonen when a lot of the current ones are short or like demon slayer in the sense that they are boring or filled with generic characters, and carried by animation. Jujutsu Kaisen isn't nearly as predictable
Great vedio! Gojo is without a doubt one of my fav characters from recent anime. And whether you like him or not, you cannot deny he has become quite the iconic character, esp from among the new gen anime and took the anime community by storm. I read the manga only after watching S1 and he was already likeable from the get go but after reading the manga I just grew to love him. What I love about him most is his complexity. He comes across as perfect but he is not, he is flawed, he is humane. Then the burden that comes from the being the strongest and the loneliness he carries. Its easy to outlook all of it and mischaracterize him just as an arrogant, cocky op character (which many do as well) and see him only for his strength but there is just so much more to him than that. And that makes him well, quite appealing and interesting to say the least. (and yes i have read till the latest chp so those who wanna spoil can kindly keep that to themselves✌)
I like gojo so much because he has earned our respect. We know how much pressure he is under and how much power he holds yet he never lets it affect how he behaves towards others, he treats everyone with kindness and respect despite their weakness compared to him, he could be A LOT more conceited given who he is and that would still be well earned.
Even though Gojo is compared to Kakashi due to his looks, I think he is more similar to Dante from Devil May Cry. Both are complex characters who are extremely cocky and put up a joking persona to hide their trauma. Edit: Nevermind, i take it back. Apparently on this death, it is revealed that Gojo was interested in JJK world cuz it was fun and not becuz he cared about anyone. This idiot was more sad about not teach Sukuna about "love" rather than Megumi. the fuck? 💀
Rest in piss Fraudjo halforu, the dude that claimed he was THE honored one and got his shit stuffed offscreened and caught glazing the actual strongest in his last scenes 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
thank you for making those connections about him wanting to protect others’ youth, that was brilliant! and well-reasoned. I’m glad that despite all those things Gojo gives himself the freedom to be youthful and silly, especially in the face of the corrupt ones in power who symbolize the greatest threat to that freedom - adding all the more to his sense of his strength Would love to hear your other observations about the complexity of his written character even in bullet point form :)
awesome video man. I kinda forgot about season 1 and vol 0 movie so went in with somewhat blind into season 2 but seeing Gojo cocky was confusing to me and after understanding the events of premature death it makes sense as to why his behavior changes toward protecting the youth and I love that it shows how he truly cares for his students
I admire how you describe and try to prove on why gojo is appealing to readers. I wish I could read your commentary on a sheet of paper and study it, I suck at things like these.
Personally I think there's aspects I need to work on but I really do appreciate your kind words. Also, while you may think you're not great at something, never doubt yourself. As long as you work hard and consistently strive to better that skill or craft (whatever it may be), you're bound to eventually see improvement.
Another great video. I picked up the show and binged season one so I could watch season two while it was coming out. And it was awesome. Something you pointed out that really resonated with me was the fact that Gojo is so interesting to me is also because he is flawed. He has that edge to him and becomes as you said “a bloodthirsty animal” at times in battle and that just makes him so much more interesting.
when it’s all said & done & the anime/manga is finished. Gojo will be one of the greatest characters ever of any fictional story or show. I genuinely believe that.
I think in a lot of ways Gojo captures the “superman” vibe of manga. He is this unstoppable force that by most measures is immeasurably strong, aside from Toji and Sukuna, weve never seen him struggle or really had any reason to doubt his status as the strongest and i think that is most of his appeal especially in comparison to current day American heroes
That's actually what he is. It's called the reconstituted Superman archetype characters like kenpachi and escanor are similar. It's a really new archetype such much so that the title isn't official. The issue with it is they attract the brain dead anime watchers or the little kids "he's so op and that's why he's my favorite my favorite is always the strongest and they never lose" real down syndrome type mentality. That's one of the many reasons why the gojo fans are so obnoxious the loudest are generally the dumbest, that's also why they were wrong about the outcome. Interesting how the psychology behind it works.
I think you can see in the leaks, that Gojo and Sukuna are very alike, but went down different paths. Will be interesting if it ends in a way that doesn't like straight up murder Sukuna
Jjk is the first since naturo where I knew 10+ characters by name and like all of em. Even one piece I find I forgot most characters and only like villains and 3 or 4 of the main crew
i honestly want to have a personality like satoru, he is strong enough to do what he wants, but brings light and help to others, and when all is good, enjoys everything light-heartedly
Bro this is the first time I had to pause a video cause I was tearing up. I really didn’t know why I liked Gojo until you talked about his loneliness I’ve feel the same “lack of connection” my entire life and for one moment (almost 3 years) I had someone who I finally feel connected to (my ex girlfriend). In the last months she transitioned into becoming another person and she ended up cheating on me. Now I have seen her but it’s like, she looks the same in appearance but she’s a whole other person (Kenjaku-Geto) Now I’m actually surrounded by lots of friends but I am feeling this disconnection again… Even his dream is something like mine, I want to change society so I try to teach my values to my younger friends. I’ve never related to an anime character or any character in my life until this moment. And now I know why I like him. Thanks for this video.
Part of why I love Gojo is that I could relate to his cockiness... when you share your worst trait with someone it helps you relate to them lol. In school I was always the best or close to the best in every subject despite never studying or even trying. So I felt that I could relate to a character who basically does the same but with Jujutsu. I felt that same confidence Gojo does and with it the same disrespect for many things. Everyone around me acting all serious about studying and all that and panicking about exams whereas I just showed up on the day like 'I got this' and outperformed all of them. That didn't carry into higher education so much though.
Yep I feel you there I showed up to my mock exam 20 minutes late and only had 40 minutes to complete a 3 page essay. I saw other crying into there sheet but me I smiled and rocked on my chair for 10 minutes then finally got started and wrote a 5 page essay got my mark back and got an easy 97% only losing some for SPAG
Without Gojo, there wouldn't be a new generation of the Jujutsu world. He is the plot, I don't think Jujutsu can end peacefully without him. And I see many people blame Gojo's death to the fact that it's for the "plot". And not because Gege hates him. What Plot? The Plot where Kenjaku wins? The Plot where Sukuna kills everyone? The villains win? If it's about that, then you're right. If you want the plot where the villains win then you really have to get rid of Gojo. But if it's about JJK having a Happy Ending.. You need Gojo for that.
God damn ... Good job with the vid but it felt like i was watching someone with millions of followers... Well edited, well scripted ! Thanks for the vid mate loved it
Hey, psychologist here 👋 My personal take on why Gojo Satoru is so beloved and admired so deeply by the jjk community is quite simple actually: He's hot. Thank you 😊
"Good looking, charismatic, and overpowered" All right lets wrap this up 😂 But seriously the one thing I find admirable in his qualities is he doesnt let the negativity of his situation, the solitude and incomparable strength, stop him from pushing foward and making changes. He could have succumbed to power and control but he chose his own path. Edit: This did not age well... Gojo in his afterlife continued to care solely about power and strength. He did not change from his teenage years after Riko Toji and Geto death. Protecting the youth and changing sorcery was a lie, the real fraud.
I think what Nanami said in the afterlife is only half-truth, he's a decent judge of character when it comes to Gojo's flaws but not so much with his virtues, so he nailed it with the "battle junkie" but fumbled with the "doesn't care about anyone". Both are fundamentally different so it's no surprise this would happen I was also confused because I thought Nanami was a good judge of character in general, but then I remembered he has blatant blind spots
I think that's not a lie. Many weird symbolism in chp 236. His teen self. North and South. Mei Mei said those paths to Nanami? But Mei Mei did not die, so ... I think this is only in his dream, his smile is suspicious when sukuna complimented him. He destroyed Mahorga but in consequence he predicted he would get attacked by Sukuna. He did his own part first so Kashimo can continue the fight. I mean Mahoraga could adapt to any opponents technique so his possible "death" had impact. But I think we should see a few more chapters. Oh also there are a few of Lotus Flower. Symbol of Rebirth and Enlightment (like the name meaning of "Satoru"). I don't think it's coincident.
@@rahmatmanurung8133 Nanamin asked Mei Mei while he was alive deciding then but change it on the verge of death with Yu. He then shared his experience with Gojo after death. Im not sure that was a smile, i dont really see it just a change of angle and less blood Also the lotus was used to compare the gaps of strength between Gojo and people not about rebirth. If the lotus were used during Nanamins conversation I would understand but it wasn't.
@@mahogania5536 Unfortunately yeah you said it right. Nanamin pointed out his flaws and sympathized with Gojo but didnt mention any of his virtues as you said. That was sad and not good by Gege... he could have but chose not to add that mayhaps to sink in Gojo does have an awful personality or self, make us hate him like he does lol... but we know hes a complex character... Hopefully on the next chapters we ll get some form of Gojo saying his farewells to his students by leaving them behind his techniques and plans. A flashback would be nice showing what they planned or what Gojo said to Shoko and Ijichi... but Gege doesnt do flashbacks and Heian would be much more needed for lore. Idk hopefully make his fight be for not.
@@SemekiIzuio I meant before criticizing him to lie about all great stuff he said, probably we just should wait for more chapters, because all the symbolism have more than one interpretation to be applied later. It's like puzzle.
*spoilers* I feel like gojo had a fleshed out and complete character arc. He was arrogant because he was the strongest, then he had a change of heart and mindset after Geto left the school. He focused on developing the next generation to make real change in jujutsu society while being a deterrent to curses and cursed users. Now that he’s dead, the next generation is primed to take over. Personally, I didn’t like how they killed him off, but I think it was time for him to go.

Jujutsu Kaisen has done an exceptional job at not just breaking, exploding away from all the tropes. The female cast aren't gag characters, all of the characters feel real, and how the story has progressed has also felt real. This is plot driven, your MC doesn't have protection. At the end of the day this is Gege's story. We don't have to like it. Not to discredit the criticism (although I disagree with a mild amount of it.) I've been so invested in JJK because it feels different. A character can die at any moment just like real life, the hype of a character doesn't mean they're going to survive. Anything can happen. Anything goes.
When I watch Jujutsu Kaisen. I see myself somehow in some characters. Especially Gojos lonelyness which is not so obvious on the first look. Also the fact that he hides more then the people who believe to know him best but at the same time he seems so open. I just have this strange feeling of sympathy as I watch the Series. this!! the shibuya incident literally happened because of gojo...and even the current manga arc. the jujutsu society revolves around him. not to mention, hes the only character who got such a fleshed out backstory of 15 chapters...not even the literal protagonist has that.
Gojo.
i really like how gojos overwhelming strength is handled as well. He always wins the battle but has never won the war
He lost both recently

Yup now that i think about it, even with the enormous strength he failed to protect everytime.
well technically speaking if Sukuna is defeated by the students then it'd be the first time the reverse has happened. As Gojo lost the fight himself, but succeeded in hurting the next generation to handle what he couldn't@@rushpatriot2866
i mean winning the war in any show would just be the end of a show wouldn't it?

Nothing honorable about sukuna
I mean lets be real, people love Gojo because for the first time in anime we have a strong good guy who the enemies are actually afraid, actually have to plan how to beat him.
Not like in Bleach you have Yamamoto the strongest shinigami and yet Aizen does whatever he wants, here if somebody makes a wrong move they know Gojo is gonna end them.
The timing of this video 💀
i think the thing that really makes him stand out is his humanity.
he is the strongest but he has weaknesses not linked to him beings the strongest. geto? the most important person for him, one of his weaknesses, and is not something that can overpower him, but he surely can be used against him in the worst ways, because gojo is genuinely an human being who feels affection and can't deny it.
what makes him really interesting is this human part of him, where he's not the strongest and he makes dumb choices because he decides to allow himself to act with his heart, always resulting in this being used against him.
Imo Gojo and Geto are the most well-written characters in JJK and their backstory impacts so much in the story.
Gojo isn't even top ten
I think the one thing about gojo that makes him really appealing in my eyes is that even though gojo has all the power in the world and is canonically blessed through the entire series, he has never won where it matters. he could do everything right but the odds where never in his favour and that makes his overpowered character so realistic and within reach

[Manga Spoilers below]
In some ways, I think his appeal and charisma are so overwhelming that it blinds a lot of people as to what the actual intent of Gojo's character arc is, as a storytelling device.
Gojo is kinda fucked in the head and that's why I love him ❤️
Oh my god this was beautiful, an amazing character analysis

Genuinely I don't know if any character in anime has this much appeal. He gets the best fights, his personality is amazing and lovable, he has a really cool character design AND with all that, he is carefree and confident, charismatic. Such an amazing character and I 100% agree that the characters make the show.
One Punch Man - one of the best shows ever without a doubt, carried by amazing characters like Saitama, Mumen Rider etc., everything the show has comes from that
the best example is Great Teacher Onizuka.
Remember that panel were everyone was slapping Gojo and hyping him up before fighting Sukuna that’s legit mc vibes right there
Great vedio!

Another great video. I picked up the show and binged season one so I could watch season two while it was coming out. And it was awesome. Something you pointed out that really resonated with me was the fact that Gojo is so interesting to me is also because he is flawed. Gojo always reminded me of Dante from DMC cool white haired / jokey type of personality and overpowered
"Good looking charismatic and overpowered" yes fits Dante exactly, you can say the same for Vergil but his charisma is a different type of funny
Yes, Except he lacked Protagonist power and Plot Armor.
when it’s all said & done & the anime/manga is finished.
Always love reading character analysis of Gojo

And I see many people blame Gojo's death to the fact that it's for the "plot". And not because Gege hates him.
What Plot? The Plot where Kenjaku wins? The Plot where Sukuna kills everyone? The villains win?

You got to upload more videos bro.🥺
"Good looking, charismatic, and overpowered"
All right lets wrap this up 😂
But seriously the one thing I find admirable in his qualities is he doesnt let the negativity of his situation, the solitude and incomparable strength, stop him from pushing foward and making changes.
Both are fundamentally different so it's no surprise this would happen
I was also confused because I thought Nanami was a good judge of character in general, but then I remembered he has blatant blind spots
Im not sure that was a smile, i dont really see it just a change of angle and less blood
Also the lotus was used to compare the gaps of strength between Gojo and people not about rebirth.
Hes is op, hot, and funny. Thats it.
Solid Video JJK def has alot of interesting characters that dont have the naruto part 1 syndrome
To think Gege just threw all that character development down the drain with so many things still left to explore.
*spoilers*
I feel like gojo had a fleshed out and complete character arc.
@@BobbyZo43383 would at least be nice to see the frame of him being split or any forshadowing sukuna says to gojo before that, I dislike how they killed him too but oh well
@@Quasar126completely agree. Maybe the full chapter will have more panels that flesh it out - the spoilers made it seem like gojo’s upper body just fell off out of nowhere lol
@@BobbyZo43383 kinda reminds me of mechamaru a bit dont you think?
@@Quasar126100%
would love a more in depth video about gojo’s complexity!
Jjk is basically even though Gojo is the strongest, he can’t protect the one he love the most
Overall its been a tough week as a Gojo supporter
It´s like I am part of it. It helps to know that I am not the only one feeling like no one will ever know how it is like to live this lonely life. That is why Satoru Gojo appeals to me. And I guess he looks good. Funny he is also a teacher. I don´t know why it is always the teaching characters that appeal to me the most? Maybe if I think about it I will find out. Or maybe someone who read my comment this far has some Ideas? Would be happy to read them.
Maybe you find the idea appealing to give on knowledge?
@@redlophix5670😅Well. While I would like to agree with you I can't...every time I try to teach anyone anything I get frustrated because I am very bad at explaining things I know. Maybe it's more part of my curiosity which makes people who can teach me things more interesting for me.🤔 I'm still not sure. But I will figure it out someday. Of that I am sure. But what I don't understand is why people often think I would be good as a teacher. U.U they have probably never seen me try to explain stuff to them. 😂
This aged well.
Rip gojo. Bro was the side character who felt like the main character. Looks like gege is gonna kill all the students bc if gojo couldn't beat sukuna who was aparrently holding back hold the students who are so much weaker aren't gonna do much better
At this point I don’t even care abt the other characters/students 😩
Fr
The only way Sukuna is defeated if Yuji's CT turns out to be the most insane shit ever. Otherwise Gege has just written himself into a corner.
Hey why did you stop making videos ? I feel like you have immense potential. :)
