WELCOME BACK UD Hot Rod Garage.....miss ya !........your comic relief is PRICELESS.....LOL......99° wearing a sweater/mittens......LOL ! To go the opposite weather, they got 2" of snow on top of Mt Washington NH this weekend....wind chill was a low as +8°F.....freezing fog / snow grains .....everything plastered to the building at the summit ! ......LOL ! They actually ski in Tuckerman's Ravine up there in June if there is adequate snowfall depth from the winter months ....it does not get full sun even during summer solstice !
Thanks, Tom. I'd almost be willing to trade weather with you. Two weeks of relentless 105 to 108 degree roasting starts to damage what little is left of the old brain :)
Thanks Doug! I'm in the process of building a dragster chassis similar to that K88 with the blown Chrysler but mine will have a big inch Flathead on gas.
You would be a mad man if you drive a blown big block classic hot hod on public streets. One slip of the foot and *BAM!* 💥, ~1000 ftlbs of torque has you going in the direction you just came from inside of a white cloud of tire smoke. There were some absolutely beautiful cars at this show. I really liked that light blue 32 with the painted louvres. That’s my perfect classic hot rod right there.
By coincidence I have been driving my own '34 Plymouth coupe with a blown BBC. The one salvation is a high stall speed torque converter. I agree on the blue '32 roadster.
I watched your remarkable Victoria Amp diagnosis and was delighted to see the mighty Mitzi doing well. I spied a 34 Ford in ya garage. Wowz! Hey Doug ....... My first car was a '64 Galaxie (red) XL 500. 352/390 with a freekin heavy iron Ford-O-matic or some such. I swear that car came chopped from the factory. Sold it to my friend and still see it around. The FE series is too heavy and has a crappy intake manifold/head seating rail for the valve covers. So heavy it would wear out the rubber components in the front suspension.
Love the video's I'm still catching up,I like the red 64 galaxy and and agree on the needs a 4 speed, many of the 63 1/2 fords had the 406 nice engine,my favorite car has always been a 55,have you ever seen the first Chevy z11 427s in 63 they were on the 348/409 design pretty cool
I think car number two is what the joker drives to get groceries 😅🙈 We just don't seem to get things like any of those in the UK, I think our weather isn't conducive to an open engine
Made for a great Saturday night. Cool cars and kickass commentary. Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it, S :)
Thanks Doug, for taking the time to film and upload these videos.
My pleasure, Vinny. Glad you enjoy them.
Thanks Doug, I needed a distraction from guitar amplifiers. I actually spent some time in my garage today with my mechanic tools. Happy Father's day!
Good to hear it, Mike. We all need a break from time to time.
Thanks for sharing, Uncle Doug! I love these types of videos esp since in Europe we don't have cars like these.
Glad you enjoyed it, Andy :)
Great show! I love the T-buckets, plenty of good looking '32s and that Galaxy was sharp as well. Thank you for bringing us along.
Glad you enjoyed it, Andrew :)
Thanks for the car show report. I have been spending garage time building headers for a Mercedes 560SL.
Our pleasure, MR. Good luck with your project.
Thanks for sharing Uncle Doug!
Thanks for watching, James :)

Sounds like a great project, Bill :)
As a matter of fact, my grandmother had a 4 door falcon but not quite as hopped up😄
I'd love to watch her drive the one in the video :)
Nice willys.. & that blues 32 roadster wow!!
I agree. The Willys paint job was beautiful. The owner said that the materials alone cost $2500. Agreed on the blue '32 also.....so nice !!!

Thanks U.D. great tour. Enjoyed that last amp video as well. Hope your summer is tolerable.
Hope you enjoyed it, OTA. Days like this one are tolerable.....but rare in June.
You left the comment less and a minute after the video went up, what speed are you watching at🤣
@@phonotical 3.392 upstream/44.798 downstream
Thanks. A wonderful diversion.
Glad you enjoyed it, Rich.
Outstanding THANKS.
Glad you enjoyed it, DH.
Another good video Doug keep em coming 👍
Thanks, Chris. Will do!
Thanks for sharing Unc! 😎✌️
Thanks for joining us, Richard.
Thanks Uncle Doug. You’ve been gone to long. Need more videos with your beloved commentary.
I do need to be posting more videos, Gary :)
Wonderful.. Always check up in the rafters
You never know what you'll find :)
Thank you for the show.
7:33 Dragsters make me cringe. I'd need 1/2" plate steel over that housing to drive one.
Agreed, Randy. I love acceleration, but not quite to that degree......maybe when I was a youngster.
Every nice group of classic cars but I didn’t see any old VDUBS 😔
Thanks. It wasn't that type of car show, Curtis.

Thanks so much, KM. Glad you enjoyed the video. I guess you saw the red Galaxy with the 390 :)
