Something lame like thay
People who created LFG's were looking for very specific hero profiles and kicking anyone that didn't have profiles that met their standards, so it would take forever to get a group together that would meet the leader's standards. Eventually this became such a gatekeeper lobby that it wasn't worth the time or effort. I wasted hours of time trying to use the feature. Eventually I gave up and never used it again. I'm sure others had the same experience as it was practically unused in the last few years of OW1.
The official Overwatch 2 discord server has a built in LFG service! And it's very active! Only problem is that almost everyone is diamond or lower so its basically impossible to LFG for masters or higher players.
@@riggler2 i used it a lot to 5 stack in competitive back in the day, i thought it was really fun and a lot better atleast on controller since nobody ever used their mic in solo queue. Now that i play on pc i probably would never use it since most games even in lower ranks people have mics.
I think the issue with Orisa is she does insane damage while being nearly indestructible. She's too much of a turret. Similar with Mauga, when you can't kill him it's too much. Hog almost gets to that territory, but none of the other tanks do. Normally, there is a trade off for going "defensive"; like Ramatra blocking, or Rein holding up a shield. Not with Orisa though! She's the horse from hell!
Roadhogs damage reduction only applies when he's huffing gas and doesn't linger like it did in Original Overwatch.
Well hog can't attack you while healing, so there is your trade off
You aren't supposed to shoot the horse.
You shoot the backline.
Orisa is nothing without her backline.
Orisa was easy to counter even before these buffs, now it's child's play.
Mauga is falling by just farting at him. What makes him unkillable is a Mercy on him

because it never should have been nerfed in the first place. Heck, i still dont think its strong enough. Healing should be restorative, not something you can use to blunt force your way through damage. Cut the duration down to .75 seconds, but up the effect to 40%.
@@jackmcmorrow9397 In proper positioning, this would work in technicality. But you have to realize that the majority of players do not play with every fascet of game sense in mind which leads to greater damage taken. In that instance, supports are now only healing to which the complaint of heal botting is prevalent, especially so if you push the decrease beyond 20%. The goal is to make supports have play potential while actively contributing resources for the team; so abusing this passive would only destroy the role's purpose and player enjoyment.
@@jackmcmorrow9397 It should have been nerfed because you literally could do nothing as a support in certain situations. What's the point of having heals if DPS with focus fire and a consistent finish (i.e Tracer, Soldier, Sojourn) just mean your entire kit is useless? I agree heals need to balanced, but then address the individual heroes not re-address an issue that affects everyone horridly (And yes everyone, because Tanks/DPS will be quick to say support diff when its really just the DPS passive overstepping).
@@funkycrawler619 Keep the healing strong, but make it only majorly effective when you're NOT being shot. Thats how every other hero shooter does it. Healing is not meant to be a second form of tanking.
It is zero fun to empty a whole mag into someone being pockets by a mercy or a moira, and have your shots do basically fuck all.

DPS passive buff will make mauga worse
You can sleep a Mauga so easily but a Orisa can "dodge" a sleep dart even more easily.
How about just none of those 2? Orisa and mauga are such braindead and simple tanks, not fun for anyone in the lobby

Just a barrier in front of Mauga and he's completely useless. Hell, Zarya's his best counter rn.
As an Ori main myself, not too bothered by the changes other than slowing down when fortified but I would have to play around with it more. My main issue with the slow down boils down to how it makes her immune to slow downs so slowing down to resist slows is kinda weird.
I believe the idea is she's supposed to be a turtle tank, not being speed boosted into backlines with 50% damage reduction, no crit, and immune to CC
It’s not just immune to slows, it’s immunity to all CC. Giving her the slow is fair given how strong the ability is, and it makes since because at the cost of movement speed, you’re granted extremely high damage resist and the ability to not be moved by other players

Im glad orisa is nerfed (maybe more nerfs) but tbh I'd rather the dps passive be 15% than 20%. Yes a big surprise but I believe 20% is first too large and second is making it way too easy to apply a significant debuff for hero's like bastion , tracer , sombra and etc.
With the last one, i hope they fixed more than that cuz it happened to me vs an ashe. It was funny as hell and i did the longest dive ever cuz i went up instead of backwards

Idk if I’m the only one. But I liked having the ability to requeue even when I wasn’t the party leader. So did my friends as well whenever I was party leader and needed to step away for a second after we played a game

Do you mean like how lifeweaver can cancel before placing down tree and keep it or like how cass can cancel high noon but he still loses ult
It they do this, Pharah should be able to cancel her ult too
@@whrench2676 Like how Lifeweaver can press the button after tree is already out (so, its given the 150 burst already), and tree will disappear, using up the ult. Venture often gets stuck with 2 or 3 shots left when you really need to be able to shoot something airborne and it feels clunky at times.
Also, has anyone else noticed you fall faster during your ult as venture? I swear it feels like your gravity is increased during the ult.
@@fizzlock I absolutely agree, the Venture ult needs to be cancellable because as soon as an enemy registers you're using it, they get to high ground and you can't do anything but spam the ground until the ult is used up. Also I noticed that too, their gravity definitely increases at least a bit during the ult, maybe only during the activation of it but I'd personally want to test that further.

Probably didn’t want to make any big changes. Just a quick nerf to save us from an Orisa meta, and a venture nerf since they’re fairly new.

Unless you somehow mastered junkrat to make his flaws decent (which still wont make him strong at high elo)
He is an awful hero that the ppl who complain about him being strong are the type to walk into a corridor he is spamming and die by a stray ball
Flex DPS can't have anything, if you have fun for more than 2 weeks, they get nerfed to the ground but Sojourn has been broken since release. Very fair.
Sojourn has been busted for so long has mobility borderline one shot a zoning tool for no reason and busted ultimate drawback………….ummmmmm….not Hitscan??

Venture is the stupidest character they've dropped, they deserved the nerfs. I would've preferred to see the removal of overshield and a bigger ult nerf instead of what we got but oh well
@@diablotry5154she’s literally really fun to play, fairly easy to counter if you play out her cool downs, and has a lot of heroes that counter her, she’s only good on some maps, it feels fairly balanced and really fun. Mauga and lifeweaver are way worse hero designs

was having a blast with Venture, but I guess nothing lasts forever. will probs still otp them lol. they can't one-shot combo Tracer with direct primary + drill dash anymore though, which is sad. I really loved blending cocky Tracers who thought they were slick

The DPS passive being buffed should help with that, actually. For the majority of players, a reaper can decimate a Mauga, and has the chance to outplay hog if given support to survive through hook combo.
At least he and Hog are somewhat counterable. These are Orisa nerfs are long overdue

Love the Venture nerfs. Now instead of dumping every cooldown you have to get one kill and escape, you get to choose, dump all your cooldowns to get a kill OR escape. Literally just a much worse Reaper now.

I went beck and looked through top 100 for every past season (console because I’m on console) and she has been overwhelmingly dominant EVERY season besides season 1 because I guess Sojourn was busted for a bit.

@@WaifuSlayer it's all jokes, Tracer is pretty strong but my argument is that she's deservedly strong because as a character she has one of the highest skill ceilings similar to doom, and you can't get much value if you don't know how to play her. Furthermore, the balancing team stated tracer is like the Median for hero design, so if Tracer is weak then the game isn't where they want it to be, hence she'll most likely be strong forever. I say this as a Masters tracer(pre s9), and also she was incredibly difficult to play in Illaris season

Yeah Venture didn't need that double nerf. Maybe one nerf of them kit would of been fine but double is too much
Deserved but I wouldn't have nerfed what they did. I would have slightly changed the breakpoint so the one shot combo doesn't exist but then gotten rid of all of the overshield. Finally would've nerfed either the damage of the ult or the amount of charges.
That way venture wouldn't one shot, they wouldn't have insane survivability with everything else in their kit and their ult wouldn't be a gg team fight over button

Why would they revert the DPS passive... there is no support right now that is standing out and tank players are on the verge of jumping off Lijiang tower.

@@urgian just because an easy 1 shot combo is gone doesnt mean its a throw pick, it will still be easy to secure elims
@@urgian ? 235 damage is still a lot. Add in any chip damage from team, or a half decent un-burrow and you'll still kill. They're gonna be fine, just slightly less cheap kills from bad Ventures.
Thats not enough... her dmg needs to be slightly lower per projectile and maybe her dmg reduction needs to be reduced aswell + the nerfs they already did... the cd and movement speed chanes wont do much

Yeah, it's not enough nerfs for Orisa, now I'm revisiting the tier list (which I know I don't have to take as 100% true), but I still find it very curious how Orisa hasn't stepped into low B tiers for a long time (she in mid season 4 she was in B TIER), now she is still S tier or A tier, she needs and deserves EVEN more nerfs
