- One of Norway's mountain roads with the most spectacular views. This version is with background music - just had to redo it with some music, and some color correction to the drone footage....
Here is the route i Google Maps (may not appear properly when the road is closed for the winter):

Trevlig tur, tack
Takk for følget, Lars!! 😎
thanks for sharing, well done.!
Thanks for watching! With roads and scenery like this it almost does it by itself!!! 😂😎
Vakkert! 👍😊
Enig! 😎
Really enjoyed the ride-along with you, especially the tourist interaction in english before you both discovered you were locals. A perfect example of why, back here in England, I tell everyone Norway is the perfect holiday destination for bikers as "everyone speaks english and seems to work for the norwegian tourist board!" The best place in the world to be on a biking tour, easy to camp, hyttes available everywhere and too much to see with just one visit (I've done 4 trips so far!)
Thanks a lot, Dave! Happy to see you enjoyed the video! 😊
Welcome back to Norway anytime! 🇳🇴🏍️👍🏻
Thank for taking us along with you -- I really enjoyed the ambient sounds (the bike, road noise, breeze, birds etc) as that added a lot of beauty to the video!
Thanks! I find it hard to choose between just ambient sound or background music, so for this video I ended up with two versions…
Pretty scenic road 😍 When you met the first guy with the bike he confirmed my thoughts: a Sunday bike ride. Roads were so empty and this is what I experienced this summer, too.
Thanks for the track documentation. I'll share it with a buddy who plans to enjoy Norway next year 💙💛🏁🤛🏼
Norway is a wonderful country. The scenery is very beautiful I want to go
You are very welcome!! 🏍️🇳🇴👍🏻
Your showing off the beauty of your Country in a spectacular way!!. Great photography and drone shots,,,much better than those You tubers that talk all the time and detract from the aura.....You just got a new subscriber and thank you!
Thanks a lot, Jeffrey!! 🏍️🇳🇴👍🏻
Husk å snakke engelsk til moldensere!👍👍
Thank you for the beautiful footage! I can't wait to do this route next June on... a gravelbike! Part of a big six-week bikepacking trip through Norway.
Thank you for watching, Matthijs! 6 week trip sounds amazing! Hopefully there will be a good, warm period early this summer so that most of the snow has melted when you arrive. You may want to put the higher altitudes like Aursjøvegen to the last part of those 6 weeks to optimize for best possible roads… I hope you will have a great time here in Norway! 🏍️🇳🇴👍🏻
Nicely done, appreciate the drone footage! Beautiful ride. Norway is the prettiest place I’ve ever been.
Thank you, Jonathan!! 👍🏻🏍️🇳🇴🥳
nice vid, Norway, as usual, surprises with beautiful views. Stay safe.
Thanks, Andy!
Takk for turen!
Mange flotte veier i sør-vest Norge. 🏍️🇳🇴👍🏻
BTW When the 2019 model was introduced the Honda CB500X video was recorded from this road 🙂
I thought it might be somewhere in Norway but did not know it was here. This one? ua-cam.com/video/OwkErpZ2Fss/v-deo.html
@@TheTor_Detours yes that one. It is recorded at the stretch near Aurstupet :-)
I have just come across your channel and subscribed as the quality of this video is stunning and will work through your catalogue 👍 Thought it was funny two Norwegian guys chatting in English 🤣Hope the ribs are feeling better.
Thanks for subscribing and welcome! Yeah, it was quite funny that episode, too funny to not include it in the video. I hope you find my videos inspiring. 🇳🇴🏍️😎
@@TheTor_Detours Inspiring is certainly a great way to describe your video. I am starting to think about another tour for next year and have been doing some research on travel to get there, I am in Scotland so it a long way round, so it probably why your channel popped up. I am thinking about the second half of June as the weather seems okay for western Norway and your videos certainly will be of great assistance in that process 👍
@@blearyview2254 well, the weather in Norway is very hard to predict, unfortunately - and especially the weather in western Norway. Second half of June has been exceptional this year, but I’m sorry to say that is not the normal.
This video was shot around mid August. I have the last years taken the longer trips around that time as I think the weather is more stable and the gravel roads in the mountains have dried up properly.
If you are planning on riding in the mountains in June, you may still find a bit of snow around and/or the roads are still wet and damaged after the winter and can be a bit of a challenge on a bike.
But, if you plan on traveling up north to see the midnight sun, then you should not travel much later than second half of July.
It is a long way around to travel between Scotland and Norway - I believe there is a new ferry between Newcastle and Bergen planned to be set up, but not until 2026 - ferrygogo.com/plans-for-ferry-between-newcastle-and-norway-in-2026/
@@TheTor_Detours Okay that has given me something to think about, many thanks. I did hear about the ferry which was a while ago and the last I heard was the ship they were thinking about was still to be built so no idea if it has progressed (been thinking about Norway for a while 😀) I went to Switzerland this year and think Norway will be a similar journey to get into your country but sometimes if it is something you want to experience then just got try it 😁 So just one question, what is the latest time month to visit western Norway before the weather deteriorates? Really appreciate the advice👍 cheers Alex
@@blearyview2254 I would say August should normally be safe. September can be really good too, but the risk of getting proper autumn weather (rain storms) increases. If I were to plan a trip, I think I would aim for end of July/beginning of August. But again, the weather can be unpredictable; could end up with good weather in May/June and shite weather rest of the summer… sorry to not being able to give you better advice… 🤞🏻
great, what cam you use?
GoPro Hero 8
Beautiful country! I was there this summer, did a (almost) full TET course. Can't get enough of those endless roads, rivers and mountains. But it was a bit cold even in late June.
Btw there's an easy way to mount a motorcycle, "horse stirrup style": ua-cam.com/video/Swq27MmmJWY/v-deo.html
I must admit, even if being a Norwegian and it is a fairly small country, there are so many places I haven’t seen yet - and yes, it is a beautiful country…. ☺️
Thanks for the mounting tip! For some reason I am a bit reluctant on using the peg/side stand like that - some strange idea in the back of my head that says there is a risk something will break… will try to get used to it. Thanks!
