Pere Marquette 1225 - September 1990

Over the Labor Day Weekend the PM 1225 & TSBY 391 were used for a set of excursions between Owosso & St Charles MI.
These are all southbound runs filmed on Saturday, September 1 1990.
1. Near Chesaning.
2. Crossing a small bridge probably just north of King rd.
3. Crossing Sharon Rd departing St Charles.
4. Picking up speed south of Marion Rd between St Charles & Chesaning.
5. Ferden Rd south of Chesaning.
6. Passing the old elevator at Henderson.
7. Approaching Owosso.
8. Creeping around the curve at Cedar St in Owosso.

I absolutely hate that whistle, it is a 6 chime whistle that has serious issues!! I prefer the one that she has now,a 5 chime whistle!!

The whistle here is is the same one she wears today.

AceofTrains Productions if its the same whistle, it received some much needed repairs.

Harold Fannin One reason it sounded different is because they weren’t using a rope pull whistle, rather a lever/button engaged whistle. This helped the engineer stay closer to the controls while running the locomotive. But, I think the whistle did receive some repairs.
