Thanks so much, makes a lot of sense. Going to get an external fuse holder with two separate male fuse leads… I’ll put one side to left side (7) and the second one to right side (6) with the fuse in between.
    Problem solved!! 😁

Love the detail of your videos. I have an 06 E350/W211: First I couldn't switch between comfort and sport mode. Then the car started to call Teleaid over and over whenever car was off + got Teleaid malfunction message. This drained battery. Accidentally put new battery in backwards. Melted terminals. Put another new battery. Drove it. Got white battery warning, then red battery visit workshop, then esp, srs, abs, lost full braking power, stalled. I got sick. Car sat for 2 years. Recently changed aux batt, main batt, alternator regulator. Started. Used hidden menu to find alternator still not charging. Read online that reversing battery terminals once on a Benz can fry inline fuse on alternator ground wire (under shrink wrap), plus diodes on alternator. I'm exhausted. I don't want to pull alternator again just to find it's that one inline fuse that needs changing. If fuse, I don't know how to change just the fuse or the whole cable if need be. I need this car to get to and from crucial doctor's appointments and I'm exhausted. So, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Yeah you.

Loss of full braking power meNs you have electric brakes. Car has a battery charge module in trunk next to spare wheel. Its probably bad. Buy cheap on ebay. Alternator regulstors like to not work when aftermarket. I got lucky 5 days ago on a 05 e320 and it works fine. As far as burning diodes I have reversed terminals plenty Nd never burned diodes but every car is diferent. If youre over 120k miles its not a bad idea to put a new alternstor in anyways.

MKe sure you change the clips for the water strip above this rear fuse bix. They leak. Rubber disenegrates. Kills the sam.

Great workaround. On the way to NAPA to get the loop. QUESTION: Is there an issue looping into a 40A inlet from a source designed to handle less amperage? Example, drawing power from a cigarette lighter (#13/15A) to power the AGW fused at 40A?

Yeah trick is finding which fuse is draining. I used one of those clamp on multimeters. clamp it on the negative cable and after car sleeps should not be more then .05 amp. if its .09 it will die after 3 weeks or so. clamp it on let car sleep then start pulling fuses see when it drops down.if its perfect .025 amp

Another culprit are the front seats, especially the passenger seat. The seat are powered even when the ignition is not on. The fuses located for them are on the driver side, on the side of the dash( the door needs to be open to 2:18 have access to it). There should be a little paper with the schematic of the fuses. Pull those fuses overnight, if the car still starts, then you know where the problem is: the seat module (located under each seat)

@@kyngtroup Your module is in the trunk those get water. Check for water in trunk. Check for rust in trunk. Clips around the trunk leak water. There are 8 clips. Sometimes the reinforcement bar under bumper it's self fills up with water and it slowly seeps into car through the bolts holding it. If you see rust around the trunk area remove the trim (all carpets and sides) spray water hard onto trunk gap with trunk closed. If you notice water chances are that module failed and more is going to fail. I have 3 cars with trunk fuse box issues. eBay ones are usually bad too. Ridiculous.

So technically, until you do the bridge, you can remove the fuse( radio will not work) but the drainage should stop? I think that’s how it works

    • @dakiddplay00

Thats absolutely correct pull out the number 6 fuse when you are parked over night and only put it back in when you will be using your car a lot so you can have radio function.

@@zibi1988pl You said "I don't know which module this contributes too but I don't really care", not an attitude that instils much confidence. In addition, I assume there was a reason why Mercedes design engineers designed it the way they did and not with your modification. I like things to be right whilst you clearly, (in your own words), "don't really care", as you previously stated.
