As a Ferrari F12 owner I have been dying to get my hands on the new Ferrari 812 Superfast, the 800hp successor to the Berlinetta. This is one of two videos firstly driving the new 6.5L V12 Ferrari on the road, before hitting the track in a separate video...

Mr JWW Awesome video! Just wish they didn't name it the "812 Superfast" should have stopped at the 2 lol. Now totally, unrelated but you should try and do a video on the Vulcan(yes I know it is track only) but I loved the video Chris Harris did on that car plus I would just love to see your impressions of it. Also what hypercar are you most excited about coming up in the next 2-3yrs?
That noise!!! this may sound odd but the noise alone like tells you how much pressure your putting on the pedal , and you feel intoxicated in the sound of the v12, a rather thrilling event and captured so well by you , it makes us feel like we're there in the car with you and its just amazing James

I literally cant even watch autocar or auto express reviews anymore. Chris Harris is my favorite but Top Gear only gives him a 6 minute review. You sir have changed the game. This was the most perfect review, and from the ownership perspective of the F12 I felt very immersed in the entire experience. Thanks Mr. JWW, you make the best reviews.

Carrera GT's V10 sure sounds amazing but I don't think its enough to beat an Ferrari N/A V12 haha
Conor Butcher the F12 & now 812 are definitely up there in my top 10 sounding cars. But personally I would put the Zonda R, LFA, Vulcan, I don't know what else of the top of my head I feel like I am missing some obvious ones(like any Lamborghini)

I feel like Ferrari's stock photos of this car were just terrible, I thought it was hideous. Every other picture I've seen of this in the past few days makes the car look amazing, especially this video. Totally changed my thoughts on the look of the car!

Fire Blade in terms of shmee, yes, I stopped watching his videos exactly for reasons I mentioned above. And about disgusting stuff, I know its not his fault that he is ugly, but it adds to the whole picture which is pretty bad anyway. Its a little extra but in opposite way. Really? I find it quite.... well... not very nice. Especially when you compare it with Zonda S and F, Mc F1 and other V12's
berca76 this is a GT car, you can't expect a screaming sound like Zonda
Spottings At HK comparing it to the f12 it sounds slightly muted. But I think you've been spoiled with the f12 novitec spec
pretty sure they mute it a lot in the exhaust system.
I just searched for this car and when I saw Mr. JWW's video, I just skipped the new Top gear's and other videos straight to his. Because he's just a regular dude that loves to drive nice fast cars...! 🙌🏾👍🏾
I think that the interior got a really big improvement in comparison with the f12; as Paul would say it needs an exhaust and it'd probably be the perfect super-gt ever
I don't think so. It sounds beautiful. I also don't get why every car, even good sounding ones from the start need an after market exhaust.
because every manufacter must respect laws about emissions/loudness/god knows what else and all those little things cut down the performance of the car
Even after market manufacturers have to abide the rules. The emissions thing has to happen as does the noise or else you're car will lose the permission to be operated on normal roads.
betaich Many, many people put non-complying exhaust systems on their car. And no, exhaust manufacturers don't have to comply with noise laws. They just sell them as "off-road use only" -- up to the consumer to follow the rules.
Torrey B they may do that, but if you get caught with one like that, at least were I live the police is than alowed to take you're car away from you and destroy the licences plate.
Love the fact Ferrari haven't engineered fake pops, bangs and crackles into the exhaust.

I think this Ferrari V12 sounds better than a Lambo V12, it just has deeper, gruntier tone to it, love it.

This is content that is RELEVANT. Some real information. I mean, yeah it's cool seeing the Guys at the Grand Tour or Top Gear gun the New Car sideways and do tricks with it. However you, James, are providing us with a tangible review of the car. I can't tell you how much I appreciate these types of videos. The difference between an F12 owner going up to buy an 812 SP can be marked with just 18 minutes of awesome high quality vlogging. Awesome James, awesome.

As much as I like McLarens, I have to agree. The 720 seems soulless compared to the likes of this.
Chris Clewes are they similar price? Doubt it
UK base prices are £210k for the 720s and £250k for the 812. I'd still say the 812 is worth it.
Rory McCrossan true that, not gonna be as fast around the track probably tho. It's a difficult decision :)
After watching the review of the 720s MR JWW didn't seem as impressed with it, compared to the Ferrari.

I've seen a matte grey 812 and it doesn't look bad in person, only different. I think that it looks better in darker colours after seeing it in grey, I'll wait for a black or dark blue painted 812's. I really love the F12 looks, in my opinion it's one of the prettiest Ferrari ever made.
I personally didn't like it but it has grown on me, but when you see then side by side, I'll agree the F12 is better!
I was expecting this video since they've announced the car! Obviously because I love your videos but mainly for the comparison with the F12 which I loved so much.

While no doubt the 458 sounds amazing, but I am yet to find a car sound better than the Aventador's V12.

458 Italia only sounds amazing with an aftermarket exhaust and MANY other V12 cars sound better than the Aventador imo. Zonda, Murcielago LP640/70, F12 tdf, McLaren F1, 599 GTO, Vanquish S.. all sound better for sure imo
Jort Rinket Not to me. Ever since the Aventador came out, it just hasn't been touched by any car. But, that's just me. At the end of the day, it is a personal preference.

The rear is actually what I don't like about the 812. Looks too much like a Corvette to me.
Dennis Koster, Corvette copied the F12. It's like saying you don't like iPhones because they look like fake iPhones. Class can't be bought, especially with little money.
See, the thing is; I don't mind the rear of the F12 at all. In fact, I think it's rather beautiful. The rear of the Corvette isn't too bad either, but doesn't work on a Ferrari in my opinion.

The front of the car reminds me of Viper and the back of Corvette Stingray. It looks like you had a great experience driving this vehicle. And I couldn't help but think... Mr. JWW got to drive this before the F12 TDF?! I think that is crazy. I definitely look forward to the day where you will drive the TDF :) Thank you for this review!

I was a bit worried as I feel like a few of your more recent videos have just been you accelerating, shouting and whooping the whole time - understandable when you're hooning in cars like this but this video was back to form with some insight into the 812 and what the car is actually like.
