I understand everyone who compares the looks of the 812 to the F12 and prefers tha latter. I was of the very same opinion, until i saw an 812 in person and sweet lord what a stunner it is! The thing with Ferraris is that they slowly grow on you, it is simply because they tend to always be ahead of the game , and as result it takes time to fully appreciate them!
I thought the 812 was just going to be a slightly better F12, but I was wrong. I have to say the 812 moved the game on significantly to me as an everyday guy driving it on the road, from the rear wheel steer, how the valves open up earlier (F12 needed revs to get that sound going unless you had an aftermarket exhaust). The downshifts seemed to "explode" more, and where the F12 used to scare me, the 812 seemed a whole lot more manageable, despite the extra power. And yes the interior is definitely also a step up. But Id still be happy with an F12 lol Thanks for the video CarGuys

Hands down the best real world owner's perspective Ferrari channel! I'm getting ready for a 458 this summer but F12 is in the radar as well. Thank you for the amazing content.
I went back to this video after taking an 812 for a test drive. I currently own An Aventador S and wanted to add another naturally aspirated V12 to my garage but with a totally different experience. As a die-hard Lambo V12 guy, I absolutely loved the 812. I thought your review was realistic because you both drove the car along typical British B roads in the wet! The seating position and sight lines were brilliant. I also thought the digital speedo was perfectly positioned and allowed me to keep my eyes on the road but see my speed in my lower peripheral vision. I also thought this was the purest sounding V12 and there was alot of sound in the spacious cabin. I want one now and that’s saying something as a Lambo guy! I think the reviews you both do are excellent because you can revisit them again after a test drive and they provide useful and insightful consumer information. The amount of technical information that you include means that this video is so much more useful for me thinking of buying a car. I do understand why you both love Ferrari now through driving the 812. The 812 for me was very pure, elegant and understated which makes it a good partner to my Aventador S which is flamboyant, theatrical and raw. Lastly, could you revisit the 812 amd review it against the F12? I would like to know now after a few years whether you feel the same way about the 812 compared to the F12 as you did in this video. Thanks again!

I agree on the looks. I know it’s subjective but the F12 was in my opinion a much better looking car. I like this from the back, and directly in front but the side profile seems off and a little ‘droopy’ with that upwards stroking bodywork. Shame, as it’s clearly a much better car.
Another top review guys. I liked the 812 until I had the fortune to follow one through Canford Cliffs up to County Gates (LV) roundabout a few weeks ago and it looked amazing in the flesh/on the move. So much presence and that V12 sound... I love the 812 now! You are quite local to me, I recognise all the roads in this vid especially the Moyles Court to Red Shoot road. I’ve driven that hundreds of times in many of my cars over the years it’s great... you just have to watch out for those pesky New Forest ponies that like to wander across or stand in the middle of the road!
TheCarGuys.TV A 2014 Cali30 Nero/Nero, Carbon bits all over, Novitec Springs and ADv1 Wheels. She’s a looker and the N/A scream from the engine is bliss but that 812 is...wow. I’m a fellow UA-camr but I have a offtopic Page on IG where I show the car. @nfa_review_offtopic 😎

I just watched your video comparing this to the Aston Martin DBS and Bentley Continental GT. I always love seeing Ferraris and Aston Martins go head to head.
V12 Fezzas just sooo much cooler than the V8s. The real deal. My dream garage would be: 812 Superfast, 550 Maranello, 365 GTB/4 Daytona. Each 3 gens apart.

And to tell you the truth, I'd love a road like that anywhere near me here on the East Coast of the U.S.
Given that i own a GT3 Touring myself and that it feels very oversized for usual roads performance wise i can imagine how this must feel. A good GT car, yes. But i doubt it's a real fun car. Going 1/10 of the throttle 99% of the time isn't THAT enjoyable. So i am heading to the Alpine A110 next. Would love to see a vid of that..
Brilliant review as always guys. You don't need invites to press launches we want to see cars on real British roads. Cannot see the resemblance to the Daytona but maybe that's more apparent when you see it in the metal. The fact that this has nearly double the horsepower of my M3 is mind-blowing and it's a brave man who gives it a punt in the wet.
Love the reviews guys and I am so excited because I have an 812 on order and a Pista on order and your down to earth, real owner reviews are refreshing. Love the hard core track guy reviews but not very realistic for me. Thanks and keep up the good work.

You guys are spot on - in 2013 Ferrari gave me a F12 to try for a week - it was the single worst modern Ferrari I have ever driven on twisty b roads and tbh you had to rev it past 5k to get going and by then you were doing 90 plus....and yes the inconsistent weight shift from left to right and viceversa was truly shiversome, it felt so badly tied-down it was like a 2004 TVR Tuscan. I couldn't wait to give it back. This car looks fab though - big depreciation puts me off a new one though!!
That’s contrary to virtually all the F12 reviews that says its great. Has a few downfalls. But most considered it the best gt Ferrari of all time until the 812 came out
@@Philippinesbound42 Suggest you drive one is all I can say. I used to supply cars to EVO magazine when they started up and we had another one on a group test and it was equally awful (dangerously unpredictable) - you are going 8/10ths committed into a sweeping left handed and as the corner transitions to a sweeping right hander all the load on the rear axle disappears and then shifts immediately across to the other side of the axle, as if it’s about to unload and spin - terrifying ! We tried Same bit of road few mins later in my 458 and Speciale at 9/10ths and they were utterly fine and dandy !

And the front end is one of the widest-looking cars on the road (even though it's not as wide as a 458 / R8 / AMG GTC etc). No one walks past a 360 without being slightly under its spell. Its got two independent valuations, receipt from new, box, cards, both tags, the protective plastic has been stuck to the booklet and still has some on the bracelet which has never been polished. I did have my name down on a new one but my chances where very slim, im not rich so im happy with what ive bought.
Personally I would avoid the passenger display - I mean what is the point? So: Choose: Exterior carbon skirts, rear, front Racing seats or Daytona seats Carbon drivers area interior Racing stripe Avoid: Passenger display Embroidered carpets Carbon engine bay
Thx .I have avoided anything that doesn't add to the driver appeal . I intend to use it for tours so want to be slightly discrete (Titianio with black wheels ,black exhausts ,dark windows )-just having carbon inside ,electric seats (daytona),other usual options they make you add . Incidentally ,if you had to keep one of your cars you've owned for the rest of your life which one would it be ?
TOY 123… Iwonder if anyone would order TOY 074 as a plate for their supercar? 😁 Well, maybe for an LFA. To be honest, I still prefer the TDF's look, but in the end, that's simply personal preference.
812 experience didn't scintillate like your recent F40 video. I would say you had more excitement in the integra type r at real world speeds. A derestricted 320kph/200mph autobahn run F12 v F40 would be pleasing on the eye.
So if you have a 812 on order is it time to sell the F12 TDF as they are pretty much the same car and get that amazing 288 GTO, that would be my motivation to own a legend, that is the 288 GTO

Good evening guys and greetings from CA, I have quick questions, would you guys buy an 812 or F12 now in 2021? I'm looking to buy my 1st Ferrari and I want a V12 that I can afford of course lol I'm turning 28 and life have been really good so I figured is time to treat myself to something I love. I would be getting a used one, with low mileage and they range between 290k-390k for the 812 and 180k-220k for the F12.
It’s a prettier car car than the F12, that’s for sure. Just hoping F12 prices drop like a stone and I can upgrade my 360. ( unlikely! ). Great review. 👍

Lately they always have. It won’t be called the “TDF” though. Last generation was the F12 TDF and the generation before that was the 599 GTO.

@@TheCarGuysTV thank you, sounds expensive. I've just bought my first "expensive watch" a Rolex Deepsea which I'll add to my omega Planet Ocean, I liked the watch Damian was wearing and would like to add it to my collection.
Raven Media Actually the Seiko’s about £2k so not too bad. DeepSea is a lovely watch - is yours gen 1 or 2?
@@TheCarGuysTV Mines a 2014 so i guess a gen1? I bought it from a private Rolex collector who bought it new and didn't wear it very often, my aim was to buy a watch from its original owner, complete with everything. I have the box (inner and outer), papers and original bill of sale. Its got two independent valuations, receipt from new, box, cards, both tags, the protective plastic has been stuck to the booklet and still has some on the bracelet which has never been polished.
I did have my name down on a new one but my chances where very slim, im not rich so im happy with what ive bought.
Sounds like an incredible example
I hope they do one with fix glass top , to give it more drama and airy feeling
That would be awesome - it does come on the GTC4, so you never know
Which is the better first Ferrari, 458 or f12?
good review thx -cant wait for mine .Any extras you would choose /avoid ?
Personally I would avoid the passenger display - I mean what is the point? So:
Choose:
Exterior carbon skirts, rear, front
Racing seats or Daytona seats
Carbon drivers area interior
Racing stripe
Avoid:
Passenger display
Embroidered carpets
Carbon engine bay
Thx .I have avoided anything that doesn't add to the driver appeal . I intend to use it for tours so want to be slightly discrete (Titianio with black wheels ,black exhausts ,dark windows )-just having carbon inside ,electric seats (daytona),other usual options they make you add . Incidentally ,if you had to keep one of your cars you've owned for the rest of your life which one would it be ?
Good Video once again guys
nice honest knowledgeable review, and a sub.
Much appreciated!
Thanx once again guys, helps the brand, cheers.
I really WISH you were the real Piero - having met him though, I know it isn’t ☹️
TOY 123… Iwonder if anyone would order TOY 074 as a plate for their supercar? 😁 Well, maybe for an LFA.
To be honest, I still prefer the TDF's look, but in the end, that's simply personal preference.
Great review, sounds like a cracking car! We need to see you guys do a weekend road trip in the Integra and the Prelude!
Oh hello, Tuna in the house! I just play spot the watches now haha
@Ruán Conán then I'm a sad twat too!
Great video as always fellas. An amazing car but I do prefer the looks of the F12.
Yep, we do too
Brilliant review. What a car. Would you consider getting it instead of the tdf?
Entertaining and well made video as usual!
Are you keeping the tdf or did you sell it already?
812 experience didn't scintillate like your recent F40 video. I would say you had more excitement in the integra type r at real world speeds. A derestricted 320kph/200mph autobahn run F12 v F40 would be pleasing on the eye.
So if you have a 812 on order is it time to sell the F12 TDF as they are pretty much the same car and get that amazing 288 GTO, that would be my motivation to own a legend, that is the 288 GTO
Let's fine out next week...
GUYS DO A REVIEW ON AGT4 LUSSO
Good idea
Another great video but I can’t help feeling sorry for any one buys any car then the next model that comes out is better.
Like buying soap powder
Then next day it says new and improved your like wait a minute..
I always wanted the F12 but now I’m like now I want the 812 😜
F12 is still one of the great Ferraris, so you still wouldn’t be disappointed. And it looks better
Fantastic review... thanks chaps
Thanks, Daniel
Thank you for your video! I really enjoyed it.
When does your 812 arrive? 👍 👌 💪 🇮🇹 🇬🇧 ✌️
Near the end of the year is the best guess
I hope they bin their F12s. Will make it easier for me to own one.
Love your work guys keep it up
Cool, thanks for watching
Great vlog as always . Can you drop a hint as to the colour you've gone for on your inbound 812? Will it compliment the TDFs ?
No hints but I will film the speccing process
Very good video 👍👍👍
Love popping to that garage. I wonder if they will lend me one too
i would love to see the comparison with the pista, although it's totally different
Thankyou Guys.
A superb video, it's so good seeing this amazing car in the real world, and to hear real world impressions great job guys - Thanks !!
I was eagerly awaiting your verdict, Roger - so glad you liked it
