    Not your country lane van, but for those who travel the country doing exhibitions, sporting events that last a few days, trade fairs etc. then this perhaps is THE van. Turning it into a business asset would be perfect for costs. Peter as ever excellent. The "I'm not making that jigsaw puzzle bed" the perfect touch.

    Amazing motorhome with an amazing price tag! Im dumbfounded by the cost actually as it strikes me that the type of people who could afford this wouldn't be the type to, as Clarkson put it "deficate into a bucket". However buy them they must, I can only dream and drool 😔

    Well first great review Peter, but for £260,000 plus that is one ugly looking van from outside. It had to be an A class. But I assume that’s not an option on an Iveco. Yes it’s gorgeous inside, but the oven really is unbelievable. This is the polar opposite of what I would buy, I prefer something easier to park, that does not stand out to much, and for reasons of finance something half the price or less. But if I was looking for a gin palace on wheels it would have to impress from the outside, and this one fails miserably on looks. And the overhang, I would be terrified when getting on a ferry. I saw no mention of solar, but I assume it’s has some. As for satellite tv, old hat now surely this van should have come with 5G connectivity instead, that’s what I have in my PVC and it works a treat. Thanks again Peter, great review in terrible weather.

      @MotorhomeCampervan  6 місяців тому +2

    Thanks for the review Peter, very well presented as usual. I would love to know who would live behind the door on that beast (its not a looker), I just can't imagine anyone buying such am ugly beast. First thing that needs doing is removing the "IVECO" branding. I cant think of the correct analogy, but its kind of like having a Ferrari and putting a Fiat badge on it. I guess its more function over form.

    • @MotorhomeCampervan
      @MotorhomeCampervan  6 місяців тому +1

    It’s very nice but would have issues on the small roads in the UK. Would be fine here in Oz. As the kitchen is well fitted out and has lots of workspace I don’t think the lack of grill is a big issue as you can plug in a toaster, sandwich maker or toaster oven. Lots of storage for these items. Thanks for sharing Peter.

    Cab is a shocker like our local delivery drivers vehicles, the over cab will be a real challenge to clean especially the mastic. Much prefer an A-class and using the cab for the reclining front seats , my back wouldn’t cope. It’s just ugly , big rear overhang as well. Bet is low teens mpg as well. I’ll keep my Cathargo. You would have thought at that price they would have a better toilet system than a standard cassette, Burstner have their new system for less money

    Not sure about the torque converter Peter. It’s an automated manual. Exposed screws and flimsy side fairings are poorly finished and as for the lack of investment in the cab … Toilet sink and the oven too compromised and dangerous removing hot food. Concept is great but I’d expect more attention to detail at that price. Interesting to compare to some USA models.

    • @alexdeans2990
      @alexdeans2990 6 місяців тому

    Considering the price tag, so much of this vehicle felt like the cheapo, economy version. Sure, the lounge was swish and stylish enough, but the TV and speakers are 'extras'. The kitchen/galley area was very nicely styled with that curved workspace and the very attractive top lockers, but that 'oven' (and yes, I used inverted commas there) seems like it was designed by someone with an unhealthy obsession with pop tarts, or very small pizzas. There's no way on earth you're roasting something for 6 people in that tiny, inaccessible little thing. You've the option for a toaster, an air fryer, etc with those 2 power sockets, but once again, you're going to have to pay for those yourself.
    The slats under the Luton overcab bed were a nice touch, and the space was decent, but it certainly didn't feel luxurious enough for the price tag. The main, rear bedroom was similar in that it was all functional enough and generous in space for it main function of sleeping, but those hanging lockers were small and not the most accessible. Certainly not luxurious. The somewhat wobbly 22" TV was again, functional but not luxurious, and once again, was an added extra option. For the price of over a quarter of a million, I'd want and expect the space to feel a lot more luxurious and classy, and it just wasn't.
    In fact, only the lounge and the kitchen felt at all stylish enough for a vehicle of the price. Everything else felt a lot more like the cab - utilitarian, functional, but without any style or luxury at all. You've treated us to so, so many motorhomes that are less than half the price of this, but felt twice as attractively styled, and with thought for the feeling of a bit of luxury. I felt pretty disappointed by the fit and finish, especially for the price tag, and have to wonder if people paying for this vehicle's functionality (payload, garage, double floor, etc) would not rather actually feel like they'd spent that money when looking at the very poor design choices for many parts of the vehicle.

      One dealer has 7 on order for this model year. You'll buy this for the heavy chassis, rear-wheel drive, huge payload (and garage and double floor) and massive towing capacity. Yes, it's expensive but few 'vans match these aspects.
