You had me checking the date of the video when you started out with "... at the caravan salon 2024..." 😂. But lots of new products for 2025... Methinks you've been on the beers Mr V 😂😂😂
We were but a bit slow getting this one out, I'm afraid, but these are indeed 2025 models at a '24 show. Sadly, these days the only beers I have are the non-alcoholic ones
Interesting review, there are some smashing new vans coming out now. I’m not sure many of the 4x4s will see off-road action, however! It’ll also be interesting to see if the Citroen makes a dent in VW’s California sales. I’m not a fan of the new Ducato front - looks a bit ‘Lego’ after the nice flowing lines of the previous model.
@bield7 I think you're right about the4x4's not seeing any off road action, but the amount of times I have been stuck in a muddy field, or sometimes just wheel spinning trying to pull away on wet grass! I definitely think there is a demand for 4x4's
@@gordonchapman222 I think a 4x4 would be useful if you wild camp in remote places, but we’ve rarely struggled to get off grass in 30+ years in various campervans. Maybe we’ve just been lucky 😀
With all the flooding we seem to get these 4x4 Mercs should get you from a to b easily. Owners will be heading for Rufford Ford to test them😂 Personally I'd take the new L2 Nugget,in blue and without the toilet 👌
Great vid, 5 months after the show tho? As a UK Eriba dealer we have e found the fixed bed 600 has flowncoff the shelves and the 602 hasn't, maybe UK buyers don't look at euro brands for end lounges
No, thats the BMW logo. The Merc three pointed star represents land, sea, and air ~ elements the company desired to dominate with Mercedes Benz engines.
Didn't think the Dusseldorf show was any better than the NEC. More spaced out, therefore larger yes, but stuff actually on show.... No. At least the NEC has a greater variety and you don't have to walk as far. Also the NEC has a greater selection of accessories you can actually buy. Great video though
Sorry Guys, but why is the sound so poor ?.....the picture quality isn't that brilliant either. I expected better from experienced people as yourselves. Thanks anyway for your picks.
@@MotorhomeCampervanThanks Peter. I changed to a caravan last year, towing with an EV because there was ‘no demand’ for an EV camper. Beside the imminent law change coming soon, surely it’s about time the industry joined the quest to stop burning diesel. 😊
Why is the rear lounge liked in uk. I don’t like it. You loose storage and a fixed bed. Just give us a winterised vehicle that is not the same old fit in every van. Take a look at brown bird & co for some ideas or even the American custom van builders. Lots of money for lack of creativity and innovation.
Try touring the UK all year round sitting upright round a dinette in winter when it's dark at 4pm. Love the comfort of our large rear lounge in our panel van with 6ft 3in long beds. Takes all of 2 minutes to make up.
from memory i think only 2 or 3 of the vans in this video had a rear lounge. you can choose whatever layout you like. i would understand if the video had nothing but rear lounges but that's simply not what was shown here. losing a fixed bed makes more sense in the uk given our much smaller roads. we need (or prefer) smaller vehicles so a multi functional space makes sense. horses for courses. in america the market developed to suit the landscape and use patterns there. in the uk it's the same.
@ I have. I agree it’s not great. I personally want a comfy bed and don’t find seats to be comfy as my back is injured. I love the front lounges on some bespoke vans with fixed bed at back. It give loads more storage. I am happy not to have the driver seat swing round that I had been sat in for the drive. Also I find being able to shut the cab off with a door or curtain has its advantages. I would just like to see some quality different choices of fit.
I like the look of the new Ducato. Beauty is truly in the eye of the Beholder.
Thanks motorhomecampervan class of new campervans😊
Looking forward to seeing the new Citroen camper van later this year. Loved your show ❤
The Citroën Holidays will be at the Feb NEC show

Thank you! Cheers!
I did like the vintage mhome at the end. An A class from 1976 that was 5m long.

great video - would love to see what sunlight have changed in there 2025 models.
Hello from Sweden!
Thank you for a good film. I would be really happy if you do a film about La strada Nova EB 4*4🙏🏻
Sadly, La Strada haven't sold in the UK for some years

Why do uk buyers prefer the rear lounge layout? What am I missing? 😁
More space inside for lounging when it's cold/wet outside
No idea. I'm from the UK and would never choose one. I don't want an oven either!
A quick question on the citroen holidays: has it got a leisure battery/hook up?
Both, I believe
Great vid, 5 months after the show tho?

It's the 600 that won its category in the Out and About Live awards, too
What about the electric route?? This was getting better for distance. This is what I would like a large electric 4 x 4
The three pointed star you keep mentioning in relation to Mercedes is actually an aeroplane propeller!
No, thats the BMW logo. The Merc three pointed star represents land, sea, and air ~ elements the company desired to dominate with Mercedes Benz engines.
Great video as usual Peter…..just a bit dodgy with the sound I thought? New mic’s on the Christmas list perhaps?
We had some tech issues on this one. Normal service resumed on our other videos!

There are a lot more 'vans and a lot more brands at Düsseldorf and the show is especially good for 4x4s and liners. We love the NEC, too, though
The Knaus campervan has copied the dreamer xl which has been on the market for years with the front drop down bed. The living Van has the same too
Yes, I've tested both of those. The Living Van is a favourite.
You need read reviews of them on outandaboutlive.co.uk
@ we owned a living Van for a year but was a bit too small for us. Just upsized to a Swift Kon Tiki 894, no trouble with space now 😉🤣
@@stevebennett6727 That's some change of size!
@@MotorhomeCampervan most definitely 🤣👍🏼

There must be some EV camper Vans there…
Sorry, no. Seems there's almost no demand
