Have a 2008 CRV whose door handle stopped working. This video saving me the trouble of trying to find each screw and fastener myself. My issue ended up being that the rod-to-lever fastener had come off somehow. Took me a while to get it back on because I didn't realize a metal piece moves out of the way with removal of a bolt. Anyway, thanks for the video.
( BLASTER SILICONE LUBRICANT ) If in colder weather, then buy some synthetic spray oil and spray a sponge and oil all rubber gaskets around doors if sticky from cold, also you can buy at Dealerships but very expensive, I use stuff made for rubber, plastics and keep hams clean, then any water that melts from ice or snow just beads up and off rubber and door since oil gets on METAL too. Then no issues with doors getting stuck, I had used quarters to help door pop open on older car and chipped paint, but didn't break HANDLE OFF, seen and known to many to pull hard and fast not thinking, Must go slow if stuck, if have auto start, then start and hopefully it warms up and be easier to open. Or a butter knife or screw driver but can still break plastic door HANDLE if water is in there frozen. Its called BLASTER SILICONE LUBRICANT, that does all kinds of rubber stuff, I also use on shocks and sway bar links that squeaky, now so does car salesman to not replace warn parts, some are warn or just noisy, buying shouldn't be noisy at all. Plus it helps from dry rotting out.
I have a 2007 CR-V with a loose passenger side door handle, but it works. How do I know if I need to replace it or just tighten the screws you show at 4:56 ?
+sbrave Try tightening the screws and see if that works! Hopefully that's all it needs because then you'll save even more money by not having to replace the part. If after you tighten it and it still gives you trouble, then you'll definitely know that it needs to be replaced.
@@1AAuto Thank you. Turns out, the 10mm bolt that holds the clip in at 5:20 was missing. I replaced it with another and it works perfect now. Thanks again, and Happy New Year!

Does a new handle come with that metal block? The plastic pin holding the metal block to the hand broke on mine.
