Great vid, really like old clubs they do bring back memories. Golf clubs for cash are excellent for both selling and buying clubs, just wish one of their shops was near me. I’ve bought stuff on the internet and they always arrive when specified.
Very very enjoyable video with some quality older clubs, my choices are… driver, callaway x hot…3 wood, callaway Diablo…irons, Taylormade RSI TP… wedges, Cleveland and putter, odyssey white hot Rossie
Love to watch you guys play and use clubs from the past .for me the Taylormade rac irons Lt, Ht,Os all the sets were and are fantastic clubs as were nike cci forged irons and the NS pro 950 gh shafts love these videos thanks
I loved my golf days when the RAC LT, HT and OS came out. I was a Saturday boy working for £2.50 an hour at Tinsley Park Golf Club. Those were the days, good old times.
An issue with the Sonartec clubs were that although they became popular because Todd Hamilton and David Duval used one of them in their bags when they won an Open Championship, they were actually NOT easy to hit, something a lot of amateurs found out after buying one.

Gary you should do a review of the noodle long + soft balls, you can’t beat them for the money, especially for people with slower swing speed, I think they are comparable to the callaway super soft.
I still have my Mizuno MP 14 irons from when I was an assistant pro. They are still the best feeling irons when struck well. Unfortunately at 59 years old and having had 2 strokes I am not consistent enough to play them on a regular basis.
Used to love my TM2000 stainless driver and 5 wood and started my golf with a set of slazenger irons that got me to 17 from 27 before getting a set of Ram irons

Very good but……keep one in the bag use it for warm up, first shot of the day on a bad swing day and then compare to your current irons. I recently tried my 1980s Macgreggor Tourney 2 iron at the range and was pleasantly surprised even though my current strongest iron is 28 degrees, no way is it going in my bag though! 😂
After playing for 20 years with Ryder Mk2 irons I needed a change. Got a set of Nike NDS irons when they came out in 2004. Got my handicap down from 20 to 12 in 3 years.. To be honest I wish I still had them..
Wow! Thats some improvement! We tested the Ryder mk 3 last week and they were hard enough, can’t believe you gamed the mk 2 so long. Lovely to test though 👌🏼
@@garymartingolf Yes I watch the Ryder Mk3 video, I still have the MK2's if you want to try them out. I'm 70 years old and need a lot of help, Just got a set of Taylormade Qi irons, handicap 19.6
Best golf I ever played, down to a 5 handicap. Nike Machspeed SQ driver and 3w. Adams a7 3&4h and 5-PW. Adams Tom Watson 52, 56 and 60 wedges ($100 for the three). Would love to be able to see what they played like now. Still like the shape of those irons and still use the hybrids. Even the ugly loud square Nike woods I recall as being longer than anything I've had since. I guess it's rose tinted glasses and I was just younger and playing a lot more
Wow, those rac mb's, are they coin forged? I never owned a set but the Taylormade '05 rac forged cavity back irons were the best looking irons I'd ever seen back then...they've come into a lot of discussions since taylormade has brought out the P7CB, maybe a comparison of the two on course, that would be interesting!
Great viewing these older club vlogs, let's me see what I missed in my 17 years away from the game. When I started back again I got a second hand set off callaway steelhead xr pro irons, still miss them haha. Not sure why some ppl moaning on here, I like the premier vlogs. Maybe the change is hard to deal with 🏌️
Those were the years , x14,x16,x18 pros, then the steel head pro was like a modern version. I’m only going to do the long long forms as premiers from now 😅
Garry try a budget market place set, John letters kit I find is so underrated bought a set of forged irons as I have never owned forged and paid £45 4-pw of eBay with project x shafts and good grips. U don't need to spend money
The yes technology is on the new Adams putters so must have been brought by Taylormade ( or brought by Adams and then Taylormade got it with the rest of the Adams IP )
I just bought some MP32s off ebay from Japan. For 20 year old irons they are near mint, but grips could be better. Thought I got a great deal until I realised I needed to pay import tax 😅
To the average 12+ handicap imo you don't need to spend silly abouts. To a pro who will see the extra 4-10 yards on every shot and the bills and mortgage depend on it yes but the average Joe could get down to single figures spending money on lessons over kit.
That just proves newer isn't always the better. I just bought ping g430 5 hybrid. It's good at range but doesn't work on the course. My 20 year old mizuno 5 rescue is much better.
