Just spottet a video about settingand clicked, and didn't know it was about my home city... Nice! Also, fun to see people you know/recognize in an EpicTV video..
It is a public place named BaNanna Park in Copenhagen, Denmark. The route setting and maintenance is performed by the local climbing club NKK (Nørrebro KlatreKlub). www.kobenhavnergron.dk/place/bananna-park/?lang=en
@@jobro296 The guy belaying under the EWP wasn't away from things that could fall. They also seem to be operating an EWP without a full body harness, I doubt they have IPAF card anyway so I'm sure ignorance is bliss, until something bad happens.
@@DerelictChad That is true, I don't know how common it is to ignore the rules for those things, but I don't think most route setters are able to use heavy machinery, and are forced to climb up and auto belay, in which case a helmet is less necessary (I interpreted your comment more as a question concerning the general route setting population)
Trackpad Depends what your goals are I guess. I climb indoors to train for outdoors. So I’d prefer it if more indoor routes felt like outdoor routes. But hey, I like watching competition climbing too!
Wow that was a very quick 5 minutes! I’d love to see much more routesetting content 👍

4:30 fanny pack and a beer while talking to someone with lots of hand gestures, he looks like my uncle at every thanksgiving
He's just Danish.
I need more videos like this one. About routesettings. Btw. Michelle is moving on the wall so beautifully :)
Video was engaging enough that I forgot 5 mins went by so quick... need more
love the art of routtersetting! :P
That was really good. Would definitely watch move of that.
Great short movie =) this is my dream job for sure!
I often am unable to pull myself away from watching the routesetters work to start climbing. I want to start setting my own routes.
Amazingly well put!!!
Nice!
What gym is this? I really think they need an open air gym of this sort in the US

No routesetting = no climbing. So yeah, a tad of recognition would indeed be nice.
Sue Zix go outside.
@@henryh988 no bolting = no climbing. same goes (i don't boulder or free solo). There is trad, but trad isn't all.
Safety third 😂
woah literally first
Why don't route setters wear helmets?
cause stuff doesn't really fall on their heads, since they are working at the level where things could go wrong

In our gym we just Rent this thing and everybody who Sets a Route uses it, until now nothing happened but I also think that it isnt to safe
I do.
Just spray the holds on and work the grades out later. That’s what Mother Nature does.
Setters aren't mother nature, are they? That'd be a waste of a good opportunity.
