I first heard Oasis on Hit The North - the session on Picadilly when they slagged off Peter Hook from New Order's leather trousers. Their potential was obvious. Such an exciting time to be a 16 year-old kid. Right in the middle of a youth movement, and all these great songs..

Hi Maxi, this is amazing! I think the one mistake - not from you, from them! - is the Going Nowhere one, as I had solid information that this was from 1992-93 (and I think you can hear the difference in Noel's vocals). Great, amazing work though!

This is like the holy grail. It's unbelievable that this man had all these gems written before oasis ever made it big. Noel is unbelievable. My goodness
He shot his load during 1992-94. After that his tunes didn’t have the same magic.
Neither did the band after BHN. Youth and magic gone. As well as songs. They started buying their own hype. 96 was the end really. Knebworth you could say as well
Noel wrote all his songs before oasis got big. He put the great ones on DM, the good ones on WTSMG, and the ok ones on BHN with a few gems sprinkled in there.
Let’s all thank mark coyle for having the foresight to record this! Obviously a smart guy!

Stand by Me is an absolute TUNE, one of my favourites by an AMAZING band!! It does not get mentioned enough how awesome it is. The 90s had some amazing bands with Oasis clearly at the top (in my opinion.)

Whatever Noel says in interviews it's pretty obvious he WANTED to be a Rock Star for a very long time before Oasis ever got together.
Apparently he has 2 new albums written and one of those could be a brand new Oasis album!!

Hey Now is criminally underrated and was never performed live Oasis. It was done during soundchecks but it allegedly never made the setlist due to the band having problems with the timing on it. Noel talked about the song last year when he discussed the Morning Glory album track by track so hopefully he'll put it on his setlist unless Liam gets there first.
Controversial but I never liked Hey Now. Along with She's Electric it's the filler on WTSMG if you ask me. They should have been B-sides.

Yeah, every track here has been available for years and I'm not sure if they're all from the same soundcheck. The fidelity of "Stand By Me" and "Don't Go Away" is quite different from the rest of the tracks. The uploader having the balls to link to his PayPal in the description is... interesting.

Just learned Fishmans played Club Quattro multiple times, and I stumbled into Club Quattro drunk as a skunk back in 2018 wandering about Shibuya on a weekend bender. Wow. Life is insane.
How I wish we could go back in time and not know about these songs until they are released and feel the amazing moment of listening to these tracks so fresh for the first time.
im 45 Scott, and the first I knew about Oasis was from the heat that Supersonic was getting in the name/musicmaker. Bought the single, loved it. Started to play them to mates but most of my mates just weren't into listening to music. Id be the one playing Screamadelica full blast while we all got bombed on buckets but no-one was into the sounds except me really. And they really didn't get Loveless haha. With Live Forever Oasis nailed something old (noel's songwriting) with something wild/fresh (Liam, punk was memory by then). Going into that sunny summer of '95 it was proper pub/girls/nightclub fun. It really did feel a beautiful mood here in the UK. And being a kid then felt ace. Being in a nightclub and hearing Wonderwall booming out...magic. I don't know how kids today see that time but I imagine a few look at that exactly the same way as I used to think of how swinging London would be with the Stones, Who, Beatles. I was always thankful that the band I've always loved the most (primal scream) were always the outsiders. Oasis were a good band, they made some classic )and not so good) albums, but I do believe that their real legacy was getting kids into music, to have some fucking fun, to breathe with conviction and feel positive.

Noel had alot songs ready for the Be Here now album but waited until he had enough money for orchestra to be on them.
The Rockin Chair demo always sounded similar in quality to Some Might Say and Hey Now so I'm surprised it's not from this soundcheck
This isnt a soundcheck. These are all demos. He has incorrectly labeled the video as a soundcheck to get the views.
All of these have been available for a while now.

I've always thought Stand By Me didn't belong on Be Here Now....it was a lot more pure than the drug fueled rock anthems he was trying to write. It's a brilliant tune

Yo iba en el 99 a Cabildo y Juramento a buscar discos y rarezas. Solo estaba el los demos del 92, el de argentina 98 y el unplugged... ponele. Algun single importado que te fajaban. Ademas de que te boludeaban si buscabas Oasis los que vendían. Despues llego Napster y les hice fuck u a todos esos y me baje shows a lo pavo. Hoy por hoy no tengo todos los singles originales pero no importa... lo lindo fueron esas búsquedas del tesoro por disquerias antro del orto. Hoy terminaron con esta locura de posteo que metiste amigo. Esto en el 98 valia oro. Hoy aun mas. Be Here Now forever papa.

It’s all about the arrangements. Going nowhere could easily of need a rock song like definitely maybe era. All of his songs could and wish he would rock up his songs a bit.
Nearly every song is on bonus discs from Whats The Story or Be Here Now. I say nearly as I've not personally heard the version of Stand By Me before. That may be a bonus/alternate version of it but I don't know

Cant be true, stand by me was written when noel moved to London before be here now, he attempted to make himself a roast dinner and gave himself food poisoning which led to stand by me
But Going Nowhere was recorded in 1992 or 1993 in Mark Coyle Home Studio, Mauldeth Road West, Manchester

@@chuck1804 Me neither. They probably don't remember either. Oasis have never been to care much about how particular their sound is (As opposed to Radiohead). Their label had them re record Definitely Maybe multiple times before release and Noel didn't understand why. Every newer tour sounds different. Noel chooses his guitars based on if they look cool and doesn't even know what pedals he uses.

Great to finally hear these, heard so many stories about them being soundchecked back in this era. This is when Noel was really putting in the hours. Shouldn't underestimate the contribution of Mark Coyle either, vital to the group at this stage.

Add some gibberish words to some 60s generic chord progressions, throw in a partial Kinks melody mixed with a Beatles middle 8 melody here and there... and you CAN be! ;)

Yeah I agree, stand by me sounds like it could be a soundcheck but the rest sounds like home demos (and a different recording, theres no way these are all from the same soundcheck, unless five different people were all there recording their own version)
