At the Park City Big Gear Show, we were able to review the Gocycle G4i and G4i+. It's predecessor, the Gocycle GX was one of the most impressive folding e-bikes we've tested to date, and yet the G4 lineup feels like it's improved upon it in almost every way.
Sporting an enhanced frame, motor, wheels, and brakes, we took this bike out for a test review to see how it stacks up to our past experiences with the Gocycle brand.

That's a piece of art...not an ebike....but it's pretty awesome!
Can you change the gears manually when the battery is dead or removed from the bike as it would be the first time I've run out of battery.
Gr8 video review! my only question is - why choose a chain drive rather than belt drive for the design?
How do the smaller wheels handle? Are the flighty/twitchy over bumps and such?
Besides the wheels I still don't know what the difference is between the two models.
Can the front and back wheel come off quickly? Also, does the battery slide out ?
Can the pedals be replaced with quick-release or magnetic ones?
Can i mount my phone to the hand bar and acn i lock the battery cover?
I use my folding e-bike as transportation. It cost $850, and mine has a speedometer.

Hooray! England hasn't the worst roads in the world...
That G4 plus is £6000!!! I don't get it, it has all this carbon fibre and stuff and still weighs 16.7kg. The original gocycle released in 2009 weighed 16.2kg, 0.5 kg lighter, this is not progress. To think for £6000 I can buy a second hand BMW, leather interior, cruise control and travel faster than 20 miles an hour 😂

The Brompton electric is Smaller, lighter, better designed and cheaper!!
But why do we need gears? Can't the electric motor emulate a flat/ downhill? Electric bikes really shouldn't be more than single speed.
Some ebikes lean toward the scooter side (heavy but the motor does most of the work), these lean more towards the bicycle side (lighter, with a motor that's meant more to help rather than completely take over). So while you need fewer gears, they still come handy
@@noisycarlos You are right. And they have done a good job enclosing everything so it wont wear out any time soon. The only obvious issue is the cost.
I think it’s splurge worthy.
