I bought it when it was $4000 at the time. I do not think I would buy it at $7000 . I bike all day to get to various places in nyc. And the folding is perfect for me getting in and out of buildings. My bike is never parked on the outside And the folded rolling is pretty easy to get around when indoors
I keep coming back to the convenience of folding ebikes. When I travel to visit family, I throw the Lectric XP Lite in the trunk of my sedan. No hassle, very easy. I have a non-folder ebike for commuting, but the convenience of being able to bike outside my home zone without the hassle of external bicycle carriers is worth something.
Sure you could buy a cheap motorcycle on 7k but with a motorcycle you have to pay for license/insurance and tag. With a folding bicycle you could bring it on any mode of transport let it be a bus/train or any size car and you don't have to pay for gas. It is all about the cost/benefit and experience you want from whatever mode of transport you chose.
Have you riden the Gocyce Gi also? I have riden G4i but not the G4+. Is the G4i+ much different in ride, handling & comfort over the G4-? If the G4i+ is 20% over the other G4i I would go for + but not 5%. One thousand more has to make a difference.
It is expensive, but custom stuff like this doesn't get the benefits of economies of scale. Plus it's carbon fiber and good components. That said, I paid $1500 for a used GS (lower end GoCycle from the previous generation) and I quite like it. It's fun and comfortable and the lightest bike that ticked my other boxes (foldable, 20" or bigger tires). However when it's time for upgrade I might look for a different brand unless by that time I can find a good used one of these.
Good to know: it is a great bike! Things that could be better for such an expensive bicycle: the screws rust, the small coverplate on the motorhub rusts, the app is quite buggy, the front fender is too short on the front so water swings up and ends up on your shoes anyway.

This bike was really easy to assemble ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
They did. For the base model they used plastic instead of carbon fiber. It saved whoping 200EUR. I still think the price is justified for the amounth of engineering put into development and manufacturing of this technical marvel.
Ok...someone has to say it....what kind of idiot spends SEVEN THOUSAND AMERICAN FREEDOM EAGLES on something like this..... who cares about the "level of engineering" ... you just have to be downright STUPID to spend that much on this bike...forgive me if you are insulted...but I am insulted by this offering.
Wow so sick over $6,000 for a carbon fiber conversation piece was this bike real world tested and if it ain't been tested in New York it's not real world tested if it has not been through the five boroughs it's not real world tested I don't care what you do in Arizona or in Texas the flatlands because that's what most bikes are tested at in nice cozy spots with clean streets none of the bike manufacturers want to really test their bikes put an average Joe on everybody I see on these bikes are talking about these bikes they ain't average so I suggest if you want 6,000 plus dollars for this carbon fiber illusion of a bike you real work to bring it to New York I'll ride it I'm a fat guy let's see how it works for us fat people we're not all on vegetable diets and some of us can't afford to work out at the gym four times a week a bicycles are only source of exercise we want something nice we want something durable but most importantly we want something affordable and something that has been real world tested by the average Joe
The engineering is so impressive, though I couldn't justify a $7,000 purchase for something so easy to walk away with
…..walk away ‘with’?
@@dr.OgataSerizawa As in five finger discount, pinch, nick, gank, swipe, pilfer, filch, commandeer, hijack, purloin, steal, etc.
@@MikeTrieu, no, fold up, roll away. 😊

For $7000, I’ll take a 2022 Honda CB500x instead.
Can the handlebars be adjusted forward and backward?
2:59 "Those hydraulic brakes give you good stopping confidence" as you blow by the stop sign. Nice bike, but not a fan of the minimalist display.
Not sure slowing down to 2 mph, looking both ways at empty road and then going counts as blowing by... 😂

A rep told me there was no discernible difference between the G4I & G4I+

You must be talking about a previous version
This makes an e-Brompton look like an absolute value and steal
Both are way overpriced
Cool helmet, can you put the link please? 🙏🏼
For that $7k, the display should look something like Segway's GT2 and not a bunch of cryptic dots.

Great review. A little rich for my taste, but interesting.

Tried it at infest festival, for me it was slow and uncomfortable seat. 5999€ for it, it's too much. I have Engwe x26, now that's e-bike you want! 😊
It's just too much money for this... It's unique and cool but I cannot see them selling many of these
Nicely reviewed
I could see the value provided it had twice the power & range.
I admire the style and engineering. Can I afford this? Yes. But I sure wouldn't feel good about it.
Chopstick. Genius!
The reviews are great on this channel.
They could have down graded in several areas like use aluminum frame etc and lower the price.
They did. For the base model they used plastic instead of carbon fiber. It saved whoping 200EUR. I still think the price is justified for the amounth of engineering put into development and manufacturing of this technical marvel.
Yeah that display is a fail and should be changed.
USA wt is in lbs.
Unless it goes 60mph and over 100 mile range...
Maybe you think we all know what those spokes are all about, but they didn't even rate a mention?
Want
Awful dashboard display. What's wrong with a good old fashioned easy to red analog?
A very short review lacking in technical details.
Expensive well its a 2 wheeled McLaren
Nice ,but price to much
Wow 👌 amazing cycle 🚲 👏 😍
Great review, thank you,
But $ 7000 hell no
My unlocked G3 does 25mph. I would never buy another Gocycle now as there are much better options out there for less money.
Like what?
Only Elon Musk could afford this bike
Xanadu,
I do not like this folding kids bicycle for $ 7000.00 dollars....
Looks Fun,
and convenient...but that price, the bike should
be gauranteed for life.. with free upgrades.

Or rich and want a specific group of eBike nerds to know you are rich 😂
Seven grand? My car didn't cost that much and I don't have to pedal it. Crazy money. World's gone mad!
This is more like buying an Aston Martin not your used 2014 Camry most low end ebikes start around 600-700
Give me an electric MTB any day with 29 inch wheels 👍🚴🏴
Ridiculous price
6999 USD for Shimano 3-speed Nexus gearing system.... Thanks I will byu something better.
$7000 goes only 20 mph. LOL
BUT
NOT IN RAINY WEATHER
ONLY SUMMER
😉😄
For as long as this has been out im shocked the price hasnt come down. Id rather have a motorcycle for 7k.
And I can get a motorcycle
Over priced sorry🤨
This bike is not at all worth the price who in there right mind would buy this so ugly
A folding bike comes at a premium no doubt but $7,000.00, NOT for this guy thank you..............

The insanity prevails…..
" the single sided wheels save weight "
No they don't.
Or you can get a car
Can't justify this over a $5400 Ninja Kawasaki 400
Carry your rich guilt with you with this one.😙
this is disgusting
A bit like capitalism.
