As a Civil Engineer, i have something to say... This not an anti gravity design... This is simply based on the transformation of forces via different means... In a conventional design, man sitting on the chair apply force on the chair which os transformed to the ground via pure compression. In this design the forces are transformed via compression from the upper portion. The thread then support the compressional forces in the form of Tesnion. The tension is then counter balanced by conpression in lower member... So instead of all compressional transformation, the designer used C > T > C combination of transformation.
