Timewarped Badges Farm -- 150 Badges in 6 minutes! -- Chromie Scenario (Alliance)

- Link a new version from Horde perspective as well, though this one still applies/works perfectly for Alliance! • Timewarped Badges Farm...
80-150 Timewarped Badges for ~6 minutes of work. Repeatable. Why would you ever run dungeon queues during Timewalking week again for a measly 5 badges per boss?
Some things to note:
1) This is only possible during the monthly Timewalking event. Otherwise the Sands of Time will not drop Timewalking Badges.
2) This video is obviously longer than 6 minutes, but that's because I tend to be long-winded, and explained everything I could for you guys. Hope it helps new folks; sorry for those who thought it was old news.
3) 80 badges is absolute lowest I've got from this farm, and I've done it dozens and dozens of times. 160 is the most. So this 110-run was on the average side of things, so not unrealistic at all.
4) Once you get used to checking each Shrine for the 2 chest locations and killing the "centaur" mobs, and get a personal feel for Andorhal's layout, I guarantee you'll have this down to 6 min runs like I do.
Enjoy!
Years later, I still get a lot of replies here. I'm happy to have helped all of you that I did. That said, some clarifying notes since the Description box cuts it off:
-- This is the ALLIANCE route through the end-portal (Andorhal? I forget now, sorry). (HORDE keep reading, it still works for you!)
-- HORDE need to turn directly 180° when they exit the "church"-like building with Chromie in the final area, and kill mobs/named NPCs there instead.
-- This still works to this day. It's Feb 23nd, 2022, and I confirmed it working with similar results just 1-2 weeks ago during the latest Timewalking event.
This just became a topic on reddit, definitely still of interest!
Thank you for this! I can confirm that the badge drop rates are still MUCH higher during the pandaria timewalking event that is currently going on this week (17.2.2021). I am getting at least 70, sometimes 100 badges per run, 4 runs so far. I just avoided a 40 dungeons grind.
For anyone wondering, still works as of Dragonflight 10.0.7. Just got 58 Sands (90 badges) in my first attempt.
Do you oneshot mobs? And to what level do you and mobs scale down?
Concise and to the point, Great guide still works as of 9.1.5
Quality guide!
Do i need to finish something before this? I dont have any of these mobs and boses there? Do i need to finish a specific questline first? New player here so sorry if im being stupid :)
Same here
Have you figured it out yet?
You need to speak with guys that has speech buble on their head on each shrine and complete their quest for bosses to spawn
i got myself 3 of the timewrapped mounts (so 15 k badges) by doing full runs of saving chromie (what you did + cave + all the 4 final instances). I got between 120 and 250 badges per run and it took 15-20 min per run. Your way is obviously better and i'll try it for my last mount. I think it can be inproved by checking if there are the 3 chest in the cave and by also doing the second instance .. the one with the firelands.. cause that's the shortest
Im obly getting 30-70 bages per run?!
@@galacticlouds155 that's too low. I used to get between 120 and 200+ badges per run. I'd say 150 average. You are probably not doing full objectives, which is fine because it should take you less time, so you'll do more runs
Finally a video that shows how to do this step by step in a way that actually makes it clear. I wasted hours watching long, boring, incoherent videos and running the scenario myself, trying to figure out how everything works. This video lays it all out perfectly in 11 minutes (assuming you've already unlocked the bosses in the dragonshrines). It even shows exactly where the chests are located. If I could give it 1,000 likes I would. Great job!
As a 99.99999% watcher-only UA-camr (that is to say, I basically never make actual content, like this)... your appreciation is very well received, and I thank you. I haven't checked this video (even forgot I made it)... in literal years now. There's only a handful of comments here, and I'm still floored by how helpful it was for folks! Thank you again for the kind words, and I'm happy it helped!
Still works as of 9.2.5. Amazing guide, thank you!
This works very nicely, thank you!

this is fucking awesome, thank you so much. was wondering if i was guna have to spend 30 hours of game time farming dungeons to get the hippogryph this week. thank god theres a better solution. you rock man
I am getting 10, maybe 20 per run, 30 from my last 2 runs :(
EDIT: So after running this a few times I am getting like 20 per run on average and found if you take the boxes when they are up you get a chance to get an item that skips one of the four scenarios entirely which can give you more chances. Otherwise take the Hyjal scenario instead of Andorhal, it's faster.

Thank you so much for this, can confirm it works in 9.0 SOOOO much better than dungeons/ulduar especially when you don't need the gear
I forgot I made this video completely, lol. Made it for some guild buds and 1 reddit post, and forgot all about it. Just saw this notification from you, and noticed it has 12,000 views. That's insane to me! Thanks for your support, and I'm happy others (even further down) also got awesome results as well. :)
@Alan Wake93 same
Update all it's been dropped. did this and got only 20 timewalking badges! :'(
By the way the Obsidian dragonshrine IS worth it. If you go in and just run up to the little ledge that drops into lava, look to the right at the end of that little pathway. You can get 3 chests there.
Sometimes they are there, sometimes they are not. Worth the look regardless and just skip it if they aren't up that little ledge.
@@vixxcelacea2778 well yeah chests have multiple spawn points but it's worth a few extra seconds to possibly get a lot. I've gotten 18 out of them then the ads drop some sometimes SO 20+ extra POSSIBLY
Idk why but when I collect 50 of them I only get 20 of them and it never pops up
Do you ever actually finish the quest? If you do, does it let you redo the scenario?
Yes, you can completely finish the scenario/quests inside, the other wings, everything. It's still completely repeatable after all that. Enjoy! :)
Trying this today, does it really work?
worked fine for me, my talent tree was not filled out at all and i was just doing the first 5 shrines and got about 70 badges per run, alt tabbed and did other things while the time ran out
@@mikebennett153 You can just leave the instance group to skip the remaining time
@@Chrysaries lol im dumb i only needed to run it twice to get the last timewalking dungeon so I didn't even think to try
No idea how you got 67 sands of time. Did this, missed maybe two centaurs and got 27. The badge drop rate though is totally random, but you increase your chances of course if you have more sands of time.
Also I think the badge drop rate might be higher during timewalking events, but I can't be sure.
The drop rate is MUCH higher during timewalking events.
@@syzygy21055 I did it during time walking events, I consistently got around 25-30 sands of time.
@@vixxcelacea2778 My runs include all the centaurs, all the dragonshrines including chests (except the obsidian chest, which takes too long to be worth it) and the Andorhal portal. Maybe you're doing something different. During the last timewalking event I consistently got 60-70 sands per run. The lowest was 54, the highest was 74. I averaged just over 100 timewalking badges per run. I ran it about 95 times, which is a decent sample size.
Because you need the chromie talent that gives u double the amount of sands of time. So its would be around 54 if u had the talent
Did the run i got 68 sands and 0 badges :| i think they changed it lowered the drop rate
"1) This is only possible during the monthly Timewalking event. Otherwise the Sands of Time will *not* drop Timewalking Badges.
"
It's purely luck based
I did this and got 27 sands of time and 90 badges. I missed a centaur or two, but no idea how he gets 60+
Vixx Celacea same
Has this been patched now ?
It still works but I had only 2x 10 badges last time I tried...
It got nerfed
How
@@Happy-mz5cv the "Fortuitous" skill only increases the chance to find them now and no longer doubles it.
9.2.5 dropped today…completed 3 clears (to be sure not just rng) 0 badges!:(
It's not a Timewalking week, that's why. It's "20x World Quest" week (Tues, 31 May 2022). This video/method/strat only works during Timewalking weekly events. The next Timewalking weekly event is 14 May 2022. :)
Thank you so much I never knew that haha
It's pretty funny you address the alliance on here, while it's exactly the same for the horde, but w/e. I guess we're all screwed.
During the last encounter by the cannons, it IS in fact different for Horde. Otherwise, it's the same. :)
@@fardin.s_ali Okayy, cheers for the correction.
@@Russ49232 No worries! Hope you were able to gather your badges, I got mine within two days, this guide was helpful
@@fardin.s_ali Indeed, bagged the remaining amount needed for the Beastlord's Warwolf in no time!
@@Russ49232 Nice!
