- The Royal Australian Air Force and international partners will return to Mindil Beach for the Exercise Pitch Black Flying Display between 5pm-6:30pm (ACST) on Thursday, 18 July 2024. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Northern Territory sunset, this free, non-ticketed event will coincide with the regular Mindil Beach Markets.

Watching this flypast from India 🇮🇳 great to see our SU-30 MKI at Mindil Bay, one of the only Russian origin 🇷🇺 but Indian built 🇮🇳 high performance fighter jets on display at Exercise Pitch Black. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳 Watch from 1:09:15 onwards.
Su-30 was the coolest there. Plenty of fans respect Russian airpower and Indian skill.
1:11:43 onwards, for folks who want to actually watch the Su-30 and not scroll through the entire 1.5 hour video after reading the above comment in frustration that the dude couldn't be bothered to put a timestamp even though he wrote all that.

When I served in the RAAF for 14yrs we were a part of this display with F111, Caribou and Super Hornets along with the Australian Army, Royal Australian Navy, USMC, US Army, US Army, US Navy and other countries for Pitch Black.
Best place for such an event, and the Mindil Markets are awesome. 🇦🇺🤙😎
