By far the BEST channel of them all. Just tried the advanced version but on a drum rack using 2 simpler devices(sub and top). Using the start, end, and fade out on the simpler; then using an Eq and a glue comp on the mix bus i was finally able achive the kick i was searching for. Thanks mate!
Could you spend a couple f words on your drum compression settings? Especially attack and release? I guess you set a 1.67 ms attack in order to preserve the initial transient of the kick and have the compression start a bit later, but why set a release as long as 478 ms? Wouldn't it end up affecting the transient of the following hit? Thank you
Prefer to use a drum machine (example Tempest) or Get FM Synth Kicks. In practice layering sampled kicks just to get more power is a rather laborious and error prone task .. Further imagine a genre of music which has to proportion 50% of the sound spectrum to a Kick ??!
Your videos are so helpful and you seem like such a genuine guy. I wish you the best of success :)
Thanks for the support! :)

Awesome! You're very welcome!
Eight video done!
Great technique!
wicked video mate i really felt the kick when u took out the initial hit on the low kick and u could really feel that punch . excellent
Glad you like :)
Just a little heads up if CTRL/CMD does not work for you. Hold ALT before dropping the sample instead of CTRL/CMD. This worked for me.
Excellente vidéo pour optimiser un kick drums.Merci à vous.

Thank you!! If you can make a tutorial about drums
And how to create chords/ melody from a drum beat
Interesting idea!
No offence, but that's more than a "tutorial". That requires learning the same things that professional musicians learn. Harmony, melody, rhythm.
Keep on making this kind of videos.
