      @Seniku Moonjewel I will never forgive Ecclestone for not letting the doctors declair Ratzenberger dead on the crash place, because the event would have been stopped and he would have lost lots and lots of money

      @Seniku Moonjewel Well at least that's what most people say. I think he did. And so lots of others used to . Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I used to know that when racing medics received the message "Code 10" they knew they had to declair the unlucky driver dead out of the track. For the Italian law (and I tell you because I'm Italian ) in the opposite case the event has to be stopped. It would have meant💸💸

      Agree per se but there will always come a better man, Schumi was my great hero as well but I think a guy like Hamilton would have been his equal if not better? Give young Max Verstappen a Mercedes and a few days to get used to maximize his performance in it and I would bet my money on him beating Hamilton today. Hamilton may say he will team mate anyone but yeah only words to media that is not in his heart, of course not he is not stupid talent will recognize talent when they see it but sad cause I hope we get to see exactly just that and many will be forced to eat their hat, talk is cheap and I don't necessarily like Max (think he is a bit too much at times) but have got to respect his talent ..or Ric, think he would give Hamilton a run for his money too and we all know how Hamilton start when under pressure getting beaten? The child within come out, say hello w all who follow know it is the truth.

      F1 All time It's up to each person who he prefers. I understand some like Senna more, some Schumacher. They were both the best of all times. I think Schumacher was even better but yeah that's my opinion. But Verstappen is not yet better than Vettel or Hamilton. Maybe in the future but right now he drives quite dirty und makes too many mistakes.

      Two drivers led that race. One of them would be dead by the following morning, the other will probably never remember winning the race or anything about that weekend- if he recovers at all.
      One man had the most to gain from the others' death, and went on to break all records in the sport he had a passion for, making a comeback and then retiring a second time without paying the ultimate price like the other man did. Yet, it was in retirement- with nothing more to prove- that a cruel fate awaited him- all down to an injury eerily similar to the one that claimed the other mans' life almost 20 years previous...
      In 1994 we were awakened to the fact that drivers couldn't take their safety for granted over a race weekend...
      In 2013, we were awakened to the fact that even in retirement, a driver still can't assume they've dodged a bullet...
      In 1994 at Imola, Schumacher saw Senna crash to his death before his very eyes. 9 years later, he won the race knowing his mother had just died. And how unusual it was to be at the Autodromo Dino Ferrari on May 1, 2014 and amidst the commemoration of Ayrton, throughout the paddock people had three words fresh in their minds:
      Keep Fighting, Michael
      Two drivers whose careers (and status as the #1 in the sport) overlapped- and whose fates are sadly familiar...

      terrible fate that these two of that time most talented drivers met...well maybe Mika Hakkinen was same level too but he didnt have the car to get the results....also terrible to think that he almost too mate the same fate as Senna.
      Anyhow both Ratzenbergers and Senna's death might have been prevented with better track safety....both of them went straight into concrete wall, cause they didnt think it was necessary to have tyre barriers at those locations where their deadly accidents happened. I mean maybe they still had been badly injured, but atleast tyre barrier would absord some of the impact and in Senna's case prevent that front right tyre and part of its suspension to hit his head.

    • @bjorge1896
      @bjorge1896 5 років тому +2

      @@Balnazzardi , That is what I have been saying for years. Imola couldn't put in tyre barriers like they have now because they were cheap assed pricks that didn't think anyone was going to get hurt, let alone killed. Well, their attitude cost probably the driver that ever lived his life, and the life of Ratzenberger the day before. Twenty-five years later and the racing is on boring circuits with massive runoff areas. F-1 died the day that Senna hit the wall, and the era of chicanes, grooved tyres, narrow track suspensions, etc., came into being. F-1 and Mad Max Mosley made one knee jerk reaction after another, only to make racing unwatchable. I could go on and on, but I will keep it short. Thanks for the memories Ayrton, Michael, you're both still sorely missed.

      Prost was lucky to be always in the better teams. Senna was always in the worst teams. When Senna got the chance to race to run with McLaren he defeated Prost all the years they were team mates (except in the year of Balestri polemic decision). In 1992, Prost were temporarily retired an McLaren decided to change the car and fucked up the season of Senna and he went 4th in that season. In 1993 Prost came back and signed with Williams and made a clause with them - forbidden to hire Senna - because Prost wanted to be World Champion and he knew if Williams had hired Senna, Senna would won the title. And Senna wanted to sign with Williams but the clause impided him. So Senna had to stay in a decadent McLaren.

    Senna was probably the greatest driver of the modern F1 era (1981-present); certainly the fastest. He was amazingly quick because he would do things and go places most if not all F1 drivers would fear to tread. He just cared about F1 more than others and worked harder at it, that's what made him so great.
    But I still think that Fangio is the greatest F1 driver ever. To think- he won 24 races, 5 drivers titles in 4 different makes and 48 of 51 of his championship starts were on the front row.

    And Fangio did all that in his 40's, when most of the other drivers of mature Fangio's day were young enough to be his children. Granted, the F1 cars of those days were not nearly as fast or as demanding on the body as the ones of later years but the conditions of the 1950's were extremely dangerous. Fangio, Senna, Clark, Schumacher and Prost in that order are IMO the top 5 F1 drivers ever.
    Imagine if Senna had not been killed what his rivalry with Schumacher would have been like. Awesome.

      Ignorant. So Fangio is the only good racer back in the day? I could whip out a whole chart on who was good. Fangio just happens to be the best of all time as the era and the amount of championships he won

    • @hmdwgf
      @hmdwgf 4 роки тому +2

      @@Mjdecker1234 I never said Fangio was the only good racer back then- don't put words in my mouth. I would put Stirling Moss in the top 10 best ever, Mike Hawthorn was champion in '58, Nino Farina was champion in '50, Alberto Ascari was champion in '52 and '53 and Brabham was champion in '59 (but his greatest successes were in the '60s) Collins, Froilan Gonzalez, Brooks, Taruffi, Villoresi, Behra (very underrated), Castellotti, Schell, among others were also good drivers back then. But Fangio was the best driver of the '50's, and I still think he is the best F1 driver ever. To do what he did back then- winning nearly half the championship races he was in with 4 different constructors- that's incredible.

    Senna and Jim Clark were the all-time best all-rounder formula 1 drivers, in my humble opinion. But there are several other drivers who were, at times worthy of that accolade, such as Stirling Moss and Fangio, Gilles Villeneuve and Jackie Stewart. Prost was also capable of thinking his way to a win. Schumacher was a great team driver, as were Jack Brabham and Nikki Lauda. But if I could pick one driver to have in my team, it would be Jim Clark.

    I never got to watch senns race, i was only 4 when he died, my dad also never supported him, and i know his been made more famous due to his death, but watching his videos gives me goosebumps, he had amazing car control, schumi was a diff generation, he would've still had a dominate time with ferrari, but senna looks like an animal behind the wheel of any racing car, his pole positions speaks for it, he was mighty on raw pace, i think his downfall was being blown away by the active cars of williams so he craved to be in it, i dont know if he was good at developing cars like schumi was though. To me the amount of championships dont speak coz they lost by silly things there are so many variables that determine the title winner, its just watching man and machine on a hot lap, and senna looks like he was always flying

      This is an ongoing debate... Under Italian law, a death within the confines of the circuit would have required the cancellation of the entire race meeting. That, in turn, could have prevented Senna's death. In the case of Ratzenberger, this would have meant the cancellation of both Saturday's qualifying session and the San Marino Grand Prix on Sunday. Senna could have been alive.. but the organizer didn't want their pockets to get empty.. so they held the race... which was against all the laws... Due to these money minded organizers we lost a Legend...

No money minded sponsors and money minded organizers=no formula 1. Senna was just as money minded as anybody.

    Fiz uma simulação da temporada de 1994, baseado nas vitorias de de Hill, (que seriam todas de Senna), na melhora da Willians na segunda metade da temporada e nas corridas que Schumacer não correu por punição, e mesmo se ele nao tivesse morrido, apenas batido na 3ª corrida, ele terminaria o campeonato com 1 vitoria a mais do que Schumacher e 15 pontos a mais, sendo portanto Tetra Campeão..

    • @wilsonchagasneto4078
      @wilsonchagasneto4078 5 років тому +1

      Paulo Fernandes;o fato de que Schumacher começou o campeonato disparado e terminou com um ponto na frente do Damon Hill precisando jogar o carro no inglês e que se ele precisou jogar o carro para ser campeão no piloto mediano como Hill se Senna tivesse vivo teria ganhado o campeonato fácil já que ele era muito mais piloto que o Hill,vamos analisar o fato,Hill fez 91 pontos com 16 corridas Schumacher fez 92 em 12 já que teve 2 corridas sem correr e 2 que lhe tiram os pontos,outra coisa das 6 corridas vencidas pelo Hill nenhuma foi por mérito dele,uma ele venceu por problemas na marcha do carro de Schumacher que por milagre conseguiu terminar a prova em segundo na Espanha,na Inglaterra a punição a Schumacher já tinha teria lhe tirado a vitória certa do alemão que ficou em segundo mas a FIA querendo encontrar mais uma forma de motivar o campeonato que se desenhava para se decidir rápido ainda por cima tirou os pontos do alemão e inventou uma punição inédita tirar 2 corridas do alemão,na Bélgica Schumacher venceu mas de novo a FIA aprontou uma das suas e tirou os pontos de Schumacher da corrida e a vitória entregando a vitória ao Hill alegando um desgaste de 1 cm acima do permitido o próprio Reginaldo Leme citou na última corrida da temporada depois da batida dos dois que Schumacher foi roubado na temporada pela FIA,Itália e Portugal foram duas corridas que o alemão não participou e foram vencidas pelo Hill,e a ultima que ele venceu foi no japão foi provocada pelo um erro de estratégia da Benneton que fez o alemão para mais uma vez sem precisão e a vitória caiu no colo do Hill mais uma vez,então foi por essas coisas que Hill encostou no campeonato e não por mérito dele como apregoa os Sennistas até hoje,o próprio Senna disse na largada do GP do Brasil ao Emerson Fittipaldi que o alemão não seria fácil aquele ano mais o Sennistas até hoje dizem que seria um campeonato fácil,quanto a batida da última corrida é bom salientar que o Emerson Fittipaldi que torceu pro Hill por causa da sua grande amizade com o pai do piloto inglês Graham Hill,disse no programa roda viva um após a morte de Senna em 1995 que Hill confessou para ele vc pode verificar que não freiou na hora da batida no muro do alemão porque queria fechar o Schumacher para tira-lo da corrida e ganhar o campeonato então o jogo sujo foi de ambas as partes se tivesse conseguido teri também sido campeão com um jogo sujo mas isso os Sennistas não citam.Mas a pergunta é sera que se Senna tivesse vivo a FIA teria roubado o Alemão daquele jeito? Já que o principal motivo na da FIA era por não acreditar no Damon HILL que eles fizeram aquilo

      O grande problema era a FIA da puta que era contra o Senna, faziam de tudo para o prejudicar, pois Senna era o único que batia de frente aos senhores deste mundo, o próprio Balestre em entrevista já disse que prejudicou Senna em 89 e 90; quando a FIA e o briatore ficou sabendo que Senna ia correr na Williams em 94 fizeram pressão no Frank e mudaram o regulamento a banir boa parte da tecnologia que o carro tinha e o que se viu foi essa porcaria de carro principalmente o do Senna, o próprio briatore alegou se não mudassem o regulamento para 94 Senna seria imbatível, segundo as estatísticas a Williams de 92 e 93 é considerado o melhor carro de F1 de todos os tempos, agora imagina o melhor carro com o melhor piloto da história da F1. Senna estava insatisfeito e desanimado na temporada de 94 e isso é percebido no seu semblante pois ela sabia da pilantragem que fizeram com ele para temporada de 94 aonde ele mesmo numa entrevista fala que na vez dele correr no super carro mudam o regulamento da noite para o dia, Senna já dizia que F1 é dinheiro e poder e o que a gente vê é um circo já montado e ganha quem eles querem, tanto é verdade que Senna foi contratado para ser capacho do Prost mas deu errado pois Senna jamais aceitou ser capacho de ninguém, na minha humilde opinião Senna não morreu mas foi assassinado pelo sistema, logicamente que tem muita teoria envolvendo sua morte, mas a verdade jamais saberemos pois muitas das provas foram destruídas de propósito, lamentável, um dia esses pilantras pagaram pois cada um será julgado por suas obras e receberá sua recompensa seja ela para vida eterna ou destruição eterna...

      Claire, you are absolutely right, tragic. I’m not sure what his current functional ability is, but my guess is that he is at the brain stem level, which is enough to be alive. The s ary thing is that there is a disconnect between consciousness and motor function. There are the rare stories of someone waking from a years of coma, and to learn the person heard and felt everything. That scares the hell out of me, and I pray few, including Michael are not trapped in such a position. The thing that generally takes the life from people in Michaels condition is pneumonia.
      I would like to near that Michael has regained some function. It is, as you so aptly stated, tragic. Given a choice, I would opt for Ayrton’s outcome, to die doing what he loved. When that wheel assembly came flying against his helmet, he lost consciousness on the spot not really knowing what hit him.

      Claire Gorman ~~~
      I grew up not far from Watkins Glenn and went the SCCA route in the early 60s starting into a spot driving for a team in open wheel races. We drove the opening races on Formula 1 weekends and even took the leap to Europe for a couple of years. The drivers I met and would talk with were Graham Hill, Mario Andretti, Dan Gurney, Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart and a few others. I get the win at any cost thinking and you know who has that and who does not. You were either one of those guys or you are not. The first stunning loss was Jim Clark, and we saw a lot die back the. The Jim Clark loss bothered me a lot. Having shunts and wrecks was part of the game, and I had my share, one was enough to stop me. In the end, I flew Jets for the USAF.
      Back in the Senna Prost conflicts, I could see the part Prost was playing, and he had finesse. Senna was raw talent and he was the better at getting the most out of an engine and car set up than anyone else. Senna was the better of the two, really. I saw the wreck at Tamberelo live and it was a solid wall on a flat out turn. I really think the steering broke. When the wheel came back and hit Ayrton’s helmet, it was over. Schumacher was not unlike Senna in the way he drove. He too did some things that were a bit unfair but if it was not called, it was all racing. That is the real point, what is racing and what is not. You need to look at what the driver did at a particular part of the track before and during an incident. Unless you have been in in competition, it is hard to paint the picture so everyone understood. Drivers get it, they bitch about it, but they know. The two losses that bothered me the most was Jim Clark and Ayrton Senna. What happened to Schumacher was just plane horrid luck.
      Formula 1today is not like it was back in the last third of the last century. Today money decides so much and the real feeling for the sport is gone. The drivers are so removed from the fans and younger drivers. I do not like where Formula 1 is today.
      Good talking with you.👍😎
