For those interested, Jada recently released a slightly updated version of KITT with a new door switch so that the scanner light now stays on for the full 11 seconds when you close the door like on the KARR model. The box is somewhat different in that it doesn't have the Hollywood Rides logo on it, and the copyright date is 2021 Jada Toys on the back as well as Universal Studios 2021 on the bottom. Hope this helps.
I just got a 2019 version and it also has the new switch. The light stays on after closing the door. Thank fully. Time for cool images.
I got mine as a present for my birthday. I searched this video looking for the model car kitt my uncle has. He has given me this version and I’m happy with it but I’m a bit sad that I got the version with where you gotta keep the door open. It’s still a cool model car though.
KITT was always my dream car. I used to have the knight rider watch when I was a kid. This will be my Christmas present from me - to me.
A Street Hawk 1/24 scale diecast model would complete a perfect team.

Kitt is absolutely beautiful, the only gripe in how high the wheels are in the wheel wells, it looks as though the suspension has been lowered, KITT's wheels should be perfectly placed in the wheel wells. If that Optimus Prime got damaged (perish the thought), it would make a brilliant Goliath with a bit of model making know how
If KITT and Optimus spoke to each other would KITT think he sounded like KARR.

i got mine loose at a truck stop in Georgia, I want to say they bought a bunch in bulk and pulled them out of box, they had other 80's greats there as well all loose out of box just sitting on a shelf.

I had the STOMPERS version of KITT. It was awesome!!! It could drive on two wheels on its side.👍
I'm a Diehard Knight Rider Fan and as soon as I saw this in Target, I scooped it up, along with the smaller one, the K.A.R.R. one, and the Hot Wheels Id one as well! I think it would be great if they made a Goliath die-cast as well!

I wish Jada had produced Sonny Crockett's cars, Magnum's Ferrari, and the Bluesmobile in the 1/24 scale. Oh yeah, and ZZ Top's iconic ride and Herbie the Love Bug.
I wasn't expecting that cameo by the "Lady"! I remember having a matchbox sized version of her. K.I.T.T. looks great, but I have to say he looks a bit to low to the ground, and shame that they didn't have the California blue plate on the back. Otherwise is a nice die-cast model! I love the jada kitt overall....but absolutely hated the low rider look that jada does. And the position of the toggle to turn on the scanner light. Stupid to have it operated by the door. I redid mine that now the hood operates the light. And i modefied the wheels to the correct placement. Redid the front fog lights , To be extremely detailed i repainted interior to the correct tan. Filled in the hollow back seats . And even carpeted the floor board and trunk.
Picked this beauty up a few months back. Great display piece.
I’m in Canada, and for the past year or more I looked everywhere for this. Tons of times in Walmart I would get excited thinking I found it, only to be disappointed to find it was KARR I found. Today I finally found KITT, at Canadian Tire of all places! $28.24 taxes included great price too! I have the smaller jada Kitt as well, and also the Kenner talking KITT with Michael knight figure similar to the one I had as a kid!.
Love this. I hate to say, but I have to say it, "I wish this was in 1:18 scale"
Hot Wheels Elite has a 1:18 scale. Both doors open and so does the trunk and hood. It also has a button on the bottom of the car that turns the red light on and it stays on until you push the button off. It also has buttons on both sides of each seat for the seat ejectors. And the head lights open and close also.
I purchase this one after my birthday. I love it when you open the door you see Kitt led red scanner lights❤. I am looking forward to getting mine and I am like you I don’t have any knight rider merchandise, but I am so looking forward to see it🎉🎉🎉
I also used a “minimates knight rider” figures. Has 2 types of Michael Knight figures as well as a Garthe Knight figure too. They go great together
The only thing i don't like with that model is the fact that it looks the wheels are somewhat pressed up giving the feeling that when they strapped this in its box the wheels gone up like the suspensions in the real thing are broken or something! In general a really good detailed model i believe!
That is a pretty cool set of wheels. I have noticed Jada has a great way of capturing the details of famous cars. It was awesome to see the trunk of K.I.T.T open up. The scale is pretty nice for display as well. Thanks for another hot ride review.
The trunk was a real surprise to me. Didn't look like it opened but glad I gave it a try. :D

Well done Michael Mercy on jada review of Knight Rider a solid choice for any movie/ t.v. buff wanting to just have some turbo boost fun in there collection and speaking of kinght rider did you know that jada recently has released kitt's evil clone karr as well in 1:24 scale with season three paint job so this means future review on the way perhaps yes or maybe but not worry about it we can wait for now see you later.
I have this KITT model along witj the Hotwheels Elite KITT along with a few others. My 1:24 scale KITT like the one shown here i have never oepned. However, i plan to get another one and open it so that I'll have both, one out of tje box and one in the box.
They need to also make Airwolf and Street Hawk. And oh ya, the figures too need to be included
the Blue Thunder helicopter was much better then airwolf it look more like the Apache we see today. airwolf looked like a converted people carrier lol

don't know if anyone already pointed this out but there is an official Lego Michael Knight mini figure from the Lego Dimensions game that you can get.

As someone who drove an f-body for a while, you've gotta duck your head to get into them. lol
the Knight Rider fan in me didn't like the lowrider look and door switch LED function, so I took the car apart, removed the electronics at the door and rewired / bypassed it to run via a switch I mounted under the car in the back so that I can activate the scanner lights at any time with the doors closed. And after clearing the plastic directly under where the axles are ( to make room to lower them ) I mounted some plastic on top of them to hold the axles down, thus raising the car's stance to what is normal... God only knows that 3rd gen F-body cars are low enough as is normally, and only Jada knows why they made the KITTs and KARRs nearly scrape the pavement as they drive.
wouldn't recommend just anyone trying that themselves as it took adding electronics components / wiring along with some soldering and using sharp tools to carefully remove / alter plastic and the use of some strong glue - so either live with the car as Jada made it, or try any alterations at your own risk...... I was just saying what I did to improve the toy.
Funny how the gas cap is on the driver's side of K.I.T.T but in one episode you see Michael actually pumping gas at the rear of the car.

I have this KITT, But am still trying to find KARR in the same scale which seems to cost double the price of the KITT model! For some reason KARR (1:24Scale) is harder to find in the UK!
Just purchased this knight rider from eBay for £31.00 and really looking forward to getting it, and to put with all my other jada models.

They have this exact one in KARR as well same size and everything. Working scanner. I know, because here in Canada in Walmart all I’ve seen is KARR lol. Luckily I found Kitt today at Canadian tire store
I have this one, bought for me a few years back by a relative. Today I decided I needed KARR, the A-Team Van, Ecto-1, The Batmans muscle car and Batman Dark Knight Tumbler and the DeLorean from Back to the Future 2 all at 1/24. I have no regrets.
If I had come across the A-Team Corvette, Smokey and the Bandits Trans-Am and General Lee they'd be with me now too. One day....

Either yours is defective or they have updated the scanner, since mine continues for a bit after the door is closed. Also your soo right about it being a finger print magnet! Cool af either way.

The opening hood, doors and trunk make it a very cool KITT for sure. Only problem I see with it is the stance on the car is too low! The real car and in the show the car was not that lowered to the ground. Other than that a cool car to pick up for sure.😁👍

These KITT cars are very nice! Good price point on the 1/24 one. I agree with others that it rides too low. The large one's wheels look off to me. Like the silver portion is too large and the tires are too low profile. You should check out the KITT kit in 1/8 scale! Big bucks though!!
I just received my 1:15 scale talking Kitt car, wasn't lucky enough to have David hassalhoff tho lol. But I am still loving my own Kitt car. I was just wondering y they didn't come out with goalith the semi truck

@@MadcapMachinations I remember that! Gave it a try but couldn't get into it. The best sequel was a made-for-TV movie Knight Rider 2000 with the original actors. Taped it on VHS and kept it for years.
This is sitting in my Amazon basket, along with others, as I type this (my wallet is sweating) I don't remember having a kitt car as a kid in any form, might have had a corgi brand one. but I had one of those vehicles that had a keypad so you could programme it to accelerate and turn etc, wasn't a kitt car but looked like it. The controls were in the bonnet/hood
Sparkplug can do maintenance to Kitt. No model of Kitt does that battle mode I take it?

This was one of my favorite show's growing up too!! I always loved the Garth Knight episodes with Goliath!! I know we've had K.I.T.T and K.A.R.R but has anyone done a Goliath yet? I always liked how David Hasselhoff always embraced the show unlike some actors who try and distance themselves from the shows that made them famous in the first place. You have the same toys i had and loved the Mask car, i always wanted the air wolf helicopter, I had the kitt that talked when pressed the license plate, I'd love to have that specific optomus prime, i had the toy one. do you have the Blue Thunder helicopter? I always wanted that one too.
Diamond Select did a Michael knight mini mate that came with a smaller car,so you could get that and he should fit in the jada one just as smooth as the brick figure did👍👍

I feel like the wheels are too "low" somehow, it looks deflated.
I had the Kenner model when I was a kid. I got in place of the die cast version that was made by die cast. Which is what this looks like. Except the license plate is the wrong color. Why wouldn’t they color the license plate blue. Anyway this is slick. Especially 30 years later
It's a pretty decent model and the scanner is cool but I wish the roof line of the 1/24 and the smaller one had a higher roof line and ride height and the rear was not as droopy and if it had plates to the real one. Also tinted tails instead of a black panel
