I regret not jumping on this when it first was announced. I have a replica car and at the time the interior inaccuracies bugged me. The seat belts (KITT didn't have any) and the center console storage lid should be black not tan (as well as the trim that covers the hardware connecting the back rest to the lower seat, needs to be tan). Still that thing is awesome, great job! A little customizing is all it needs and this may be the best KITT model out there. I also thought it was going to just have a stock 305 under the hood like most models have, the fictional turbine is a nice touch. I may need to see if I can still get in on this.

PMD side plastics are black, the lower console is a 3rd/4th season design while the car is 1st-2nd season, the part's shape is also different. PMD emblems does not have their aluminum cover. Center console deck lid is colored beige when it should be black. Interior's upholdstery is little bit different in tone. Kitt never had the scanner control box on the place they have given on the interior. It does not have body side moldings... Shall I continue? :)

I finished building mine beginning of this year and looking back it wasn't easy.The model it's self is impressive and alot of the parts are metal and this makes it feel really good quality.The hardest and most nerve wrecking part was finally connecting the body to the chassis.

Acho que deveriam montar as partes principais primeiro, exemplo quando fosse montar as rodas, montassem todas primeiro e a parte do fundo do carro também. Uma coisa que não achei legal foi acender as luzes do receptor do capô parte das luzes do painel e faróis e não acendeu as luzes traseiras ou lanternas, mas foi bom o vídeo!

I am in desperate need of this. It's interesting that they redesigned the front suspension. The original '82 Firebird had a modified MacPherson strut suspension. This one seems to have a more conventional SLA (Short Long Arm) upper and lower control arm front suspension. I wonder why they did that.

I wish this collection came out in my country, I'd be willing to buy it online but as far as I know there isn't a collection in english, there's italian, japanese, german, spainish but not the language the show was actually filmed in.

Wait, is this thing sold in individual steps in separate bags and blister packs??? Wow. The model is definitely impressive, but I can't help thinking about all the trash that was generated by the end. Also, am I the only one that find it odd that so much attention was put into replicating the details, even including moving door windows, but the door pads themselves are just stickers instead of at least moulded shell components?
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more detailed “model” car than this.
The only thing missing is KITT’s voice!

I own a KITT replica 1982 Trans Am just like in the show. The door panels are wrong and 1982 Firebirds had a SOLID rear back seat NOT split !!
