Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓
I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since.
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis and seizures; I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with the genre. Luckily, I'm in remission now! Doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups of I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible.
When I made this UA-cam name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so hence the cringe-worthy title, OG KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛

yeji has powerful moves, precise angles, mad stage presence and amazing facial expressions, that's why she is my favorite dancer/performer in itzy. her duality on and off stage is crazy. her eyes, her gaze, her smirk during performances always draws to me to her. she was known as jyp's secret weapon before debuting for a reason. she is def an ace/all-rounder(yuna herself said it recently on an interview). yeji used to dislike dancing when she was young and only started doing it and taking classes when she was older and bc her sister suggested it to her. and then she got the center position on the dance group she joined within just 2 weeks, cuz she was this good. she was really born with and for it.
Watch this cover of Yeji for about 100 times but still get the same feeling as the first time I've watched it

Yeji is an amazing performer and dancer, i love how she did the chair stuff in heels, even with 1 foot on the chair to then putting her other foot up on it... also holding her leg up was impressive, it wasn't just a kick, it was a hold, crazy

I do think that the choreo didn't really show what Yeji fully capable of, she is in fact an be, acrobatic, as shown in her "The fan" performances, nonetheless, Yeji murdered me with this performance. I can't stop watching it.

Yeji my love 💚. I love her so much. So talented and kind a great leader. Recently she shared dancing was something she didnt really love at first -she just wanted to sing. Her sister encouraged her to dance when she was very young and she learned to love it. Im so glad she was encouraged to dance. Such a gift to all of us Midzys. Every time I watch Yeji dancing I'm instantly drawn to her! It's exactly what you said, she has something very special and particular to the way she moves. It's all very clean and it feels effortless even though we are completely aware it is the opposite of easy. What makes Itzy great is not that basically everyone in Itzy are dance monsters, but how unique in terms of style each of them are. Yeji stands out in ways I still can't explain. Gotta love her for that!!

Finally.
One thing I really Love about Yeji - and something I don't think I've seen much anywhere else - is that she has that "predator look", but she's so sweet and soft as a person.
Like, her face is so "sharp": her eyes belong on a feline hunter, and her mouth has So many teeth. When she grits her teeth, she really looks like a hunter in the jungle about to make a kill.
But then you see videos of what she's like as a person, and she's so sweet and kind. You think to yourself: "wow there's no way this fluffball could hurt anyone", but then she grits her teeth again... o_o.
