Walnut looked like he actually loved his grooming . He was a very good furbaby .
He was nervous as he was licking and avoiding but he was very well behaved
He wanted all that sand off of him (understandably).
I have a 1-year old aussie and she's hilarious. She puts on an oscar worthy perfomance while the groomer takes her into the back but once she's there and being groomed she's great.
They're anxious messes but they're also smart people pleasers so they pick up on things. They're awesome dogs.
Why on earth do they dock their tails in North America?? This is not done in Australia.
@@jetnavigator I was wondering about the tail myself and I'm glad someone else said something because I always thought Aussie Shepherds have beautiful floofy tails. I don't support tail docking at all, not even on Rottweilers.

I have a Blue Merle Australian and he’s like this. They’re “people” dogs in the fact that they love being handled and petting. Mine will rub on you like he’s a cat if you don’t watch him.

@@Woozlewuzzleable He had surprisingly (or at least to me) gentle eyes, without the sharp and dominating look which many collies / shepherds have. His happiness is probably contagious.

my favorite thing about aussies is when they look back and forth and their little pumpkin seed eyebrows wiggle around ❤️

I have a blue eyed black tri, so her blue eyes peeking out from under her pumpkin seeds is amazing!🤗
I'm an aussie and will have to take more more notice of my eyebrows in the future. I will admit my face is also adorable and hard not to love.

Aussies typically give a good show with barking but don't actually tend to be aggressive.

@@Silencer796 It's not an insult to state that a pet is severely overweight and that it would be beneficial for its health if it lost weight.
While it certainly made a little more work for the groomer, it was pretty smart to take Walnut to the beach first so he could run out any nerves to help him be calm for the grooming.
In my experience with Aussies it's 50/50 whether they are the most relaxed dog you've ever seen or a completely neurotic ball of nerves and anxiety.
That's a win.
My in-law's dog is the latter. It turned me off of the breed. This dog is changing my mind though, what a good boy.
I have to ask what your experience with the breed is? I have rather extensive experience & would not use the word neurotic, especially with a 50% statistic. Are you sure you weren't exposed to supposed "mini" Aussies that have Poms & Chis in their bloodlines?
@@jenniferdixon9707 I have a rescue ausie, full sized everything, and he's a ball of anxiety, though I ofc dont know how he was before adoption. All the aussies groomed on this channel have been angels tho lol
When I was really little I had an Aussie mix. She was a really sweet dog, though she had extremely strong herding instincts lol. Whenever we came home, as soon as we got out of the car she would run circles around us! xD
@@jenniferdixon9707 My grandpa was a registered breeder, very involved with ASCA and affiliates, as such growing up I was exposed to more Aussies than any other dog breed on a constant basis.
Just loved walnuts temperament. So calm & patient as though he was enjoying every moment of the grooming. He's so sweet & adorable ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️he won my 💖💖💖💖

@@MsPhillyG I'm partial to the poodle rump (having had toy poodles for the past 20 years!), but, corgi's do have adorable bottoms, and I know quite a few people who totally agree with you!! There are corgi bottoms on car magnets and stickers, but I've yet to find a poodle bottom on a car magnet!! Maybe I'll have to design a poodle rump car magnet myself!!

Every time I took my Aussie to the groomer, I swear he came back ten pounds lighter and ten times happier.
They're very intelligent animals - like a smart six-year-old. My mom swears my dog was the only one she ever met who had a sense of humor.

I legitimately lost my mind when he came on screen. He is just way too cute! Australian Shepards are quickly becoming one of my favorite breeds look wise. I've never seen a chocolate one before and it is SO cute!

I mean, he's probably the fattest Aussie I've ever seen, and he's definitely overweight which is unusual for his breed. sounds like he gets a lot of active time, so most likely he's got a health condition or is just fed too much. still, he's definitely sweet as (Walnut) pie!

He's always been a chill puppy! He's super active with toys but all other times so chill! I'm his mom lol.
As an owner of two Aussies, there’s a lo to it, one age, two temperament and three if owners provide enough activity and stimulation. He also just got bk from the beac so he may of been tired.
It differs. I've owned 4 so far and only one I'd describe as high energy, though she's still pretty young. 2 were complete gentle sweethearts from the start, and the fourth was rather wild but wised up once she reached middle age (injured herself being a dummy and had to take it slow). A great breed. Lost two to cancer and the other two are still alive

Also, it's obvious he is well socialized & is comfortable in different environments. This isn't his first rodeo with different people or loud sounds or strange smells. We have an Aussie/BC mix. She has her tail, but the butt-wiggle is legendary! His butt fluff in this video, reminds me of the Corgi "butt-strut."
We have a 13-year-old blue merle Aussie and one of his nicknames is Wiggle Butt! The entire back end gets a workout!

I've owned alot of dogs over the years and I can honestly say my Aussie was the best all around! I loved them all with all of my heart but my Aussie was something special.
aussies are considered one of the most intelligent breed of dogs. This means that they can be rather high strung and need a lot of stimulation, if you can give them that they're amazing dogs.

I have been watching this channel for a short time now but it inspired me to become a dog groomer😊. I’m now a grooming apprentice and I can say this….I LOVE IT SO MUCH MAN. Just seeing all the beautiful breeds that come in is enough to keep me staying😂❤️
What a sweetheart! Walnut is so huggable with that soft lush coat. You made sure to shape the round bum that I expect from an Aussie, they are so cute when their whole bum wags. Walnut was very well behaved, so I must compliment his family as they have obviously spent time socializing and training him. Aussie’s are my very favorite dog, I grew up with them and made sure that my daughter did too, as they are an incredible family doggo.

I'm a dedicated Aussie mom too. Lots of folks are commenting on how calm & well behaved Walnut is. You are so right - he has been socialized & trained to be a most excellent boy. What the commenters might forget, though, is the sand that was embedded down to the skin didn't get there on its own! I imagine Walnut had a blast at the beach in true Aussie wide open style! He must be a delightful dog all the way around!

Thank you for leaving him so fluffy! My Aussie is a curly guy (you would think he's a poodle with his natural curls) and it seems like everyone wants to thin him out to the point he has no floofiness left. I think the puffball look is perfect for the Aussie personalities.
