Those look like some excellent options. Might have to modify some of the setups I have to more mimick these. Thanks for all the work to get this info out in a great video!
If you put an ISO or “In Search Of” post on the Thought Space Athletics B/S/T site… there’s always someone willing to sell one. The trouble is the rarity of them has the price quite high for a thrower.
So happy to hear it! They’re awesome! Please tell them you saw our video! They may even have a Local Disc Golf promo code still kickin around for a discount! Also, winter slowed us down some, but we’ll be releasing a basket lighting video you might be interested in too! Thanks for taking the time to comment! 👊
I hope you do a what's in the bag! You have a lot of experience with the discs and how well they glow. I would be interested to see where you landed with your disc selection. I have all my putter/mids with Axiom and MVP, while my 7's and 9's are all lonestar. I did just purchase to try the thoughtspace TSA glow, but already I'm kind of regretting it as it looks like although they are molds from MVP, they appear to be short lived for any brightness at all... What do you think about Kasterplast K1 glow that is the latest from 2023? I have also found many people saying the 2023 K1 glow is the brightest of the bunch compared to the previous years.
Hey! Funny, you mention that, I was planning on doing it in the bag for my glow bag. My thought space doesn’t glow as well as my MVP eclipse or my Kastaplast glow. Lonestar glows pretty good! Are you throwing the mockingbird? With slick conditions into the winter I typically don’t throw over a 9 speed, but I will be doing an in the bag soon!
Can't wait for the video! I do have three 7's and two nines which barely get thrown. I love the glow on the lone star discs! In my opinion much brighter and last longer than even Kasterplast. I agree though with less nine throws as you don't want it to go too far and you can't find it. I typically set up glow rounds on shorter course anyway.@@localdiscgolf
Hey! I’ll check tonight, but for me, if I’ve already got a better light source, a small one is all I need. A lot of players at our glow league are starting to use the small ones as they are so convenient and still provide a pretty good amount of light. I would guess you are getting 80 to 85% of the performance in a fraction of the size. If you have space the MVP ones are great.
@@localdiscgolf great thanks. I currently have a 9LED light and it doesn’t seem great for charging it - it works, but runs out super quickly. Is there a big difference between this and the MVP ones? Also, have you heard of the convoy S2+ UV flashlight with the filter and how it compares?
Wow,cant believe there are so many companies taking advantage of disc golfers now adays ,these are all very highly priced for what goes in and what you get,WOW the audacity and pure greed
Great take! What I will say is these small startups are trying to build small businesses and it’s up to the consumer whether they want to pay the asking price or not. I agree some items aren’t cheap but in a sport where actually playing the game is usually free, I don’t mind paying a little extra if it adds to my enjoyment/convenience. But each person ultimately has to decide what they want/need for the sport. 👍
Just ordered a mini helix to go with a grip CS2 it’s gonna be my permanent glow bag. Code still works!
Awesome!!

The Helix is made by my supervisor at work. Had to check out the review.
if you ever decide to get rid of that Glow Mantra, its my dream disc! Great comparison video. helped me make my purchases!

Are you going to do episode 3 with all the new options out there now? There have been some amazing new products come out.
Hey! Yes! We’re currently testing the Resonator Pro… what others are you thinking of?
@@localdiscgolf The Firefly from Glow labs and their othe products.
Did you guys ever make the basket option video?
We haven’t yet! We were waiting for one other light and it arrived this past week! We’ll be getting filmed this week!

The helix works great, fits in my zuca compact. I do t think anything replaces having the flashlight as a backup.
I hear that!!! Never tried the helix in my compact cart! I’ll have to give it a try
I currently use a Peetpen L13.
But, there is a company that makes UV halos for the bag that glows discs next to it.
Do you mean the Halo from Disc In The Dark?
Fam. Why did you not demo the galaxy by putting a disc on it?
16:34 - disc on the left was lit by the galaxy. It’s a very good lighting solution because of the spiral, it glows the disc well!
What is the light beam flashlight like compared to the MVP flash light?
