I could listen to you say " Banana Peel Powda" all day.
😅
I’ve just been feeding them to my red wigglers, and they break it all down for me, but this is a great idea too. Thank You
Your gardening videos are nice !👍🏻
Thanks a lot 🙂
i'm concerned about knats. is there a way to dry them in the oven?
Bake at 350 degrees until crispy. Cool and then grind them up.
I like your show 😊thanks!for the links. sometimes it’s hard to find the right company to buy the plants from.
You are so welcome!
Can you dry the peels in the dehydrator...?
yeah im sure you could
Thank a lot Sir 🙂👍
Nice one Alex. So how much powder would you use to mix in the soil for say vegetables like spinach? Can you use too much of it or does it not matter?
I would not bother with spinach and save it for fruiting plants. Best to use it as a top soil and not till it in too deeply so it does not burn the roots. if you mix it in to the soil mix only use very little, like an egg cup to 10l
@@GreenthumbsGarden ok great. How about beans/peas - you reckon it would be worth doing for those?
I should think so, as peas and beans also flower and produce fruit. It is just leafy greens that rely more on nitrogen, not potassium.
How often do I need to apply this to the soil for tomatoes?
Absolutely brilliant! I’ve just been tossing the chopped up banana peels directly onto my top soil. This is much smarter.
Glad it was helpful! you can still use the power to mix with your mulch also. You can even use it as a food additive, I forget what for now.
Apparently if you apply them directly, the peels will break down so slowly that they likely won't provide an adequate amount of nutrients when your plants need them...
Hello! How many grams per one banana peel?
Thankful so much!
If we powder the banana peel, the nutrient is still there? Thankyouuu❤
yes, just preserved. If you have to finish the drying off in the oven to crisp them up, don't take the temperature over 60c, that way it will not burn them keeping the nutrients safe.
Adding the fiber bro!
Can I use banana furtalizer on my plum trees I grew from seed
you can sure. will help for root development.
Thank you so much
Can I use raw peels too?
raw peels directly on the soil? you can but it attracts fungus gnats, fruit flies and mould.
Thank You 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💜
Could I dehydrate the banana peels???
You mean in a dehydrator machine? Sure!
Nice slow mo rsin
for how long can I use the banana peel powder? or can I use some today and the remaining next week?
that's the beauty of it. use it when you like. it stores exceptionally well and should last a very long time.
@@GreenthumbsGarden thank you so much! This helped me so well in my research 😭😭 This is a weird question but ill ask anyway. Can i use a pan to dry/ crisp the banana?
sorry for the late reply Chuchie. I did not see any notif for it and just come across it now. Its a good question! you can dry them off in the oven to help them crisp up if where you live dont get warm enough. put them in the oven at 60 degrees not higher. this will help preserve the nutrient and not burn it.
Amazing thanks so much!!!
Glad you like it!
Hi! I tried this method and added it to my plants but after one day they are growing white fuzzy mold. Is this normal or did I mess up?
Yeah take it out, mold is never good. Are you getting enough air movement? Normally fuzzy mold will grow when things are too damp and not enough air movement.
Cool accent 😊
Thanks 😅
Can I mix the powder with my cream and soap
im not sure, have you smelt the powder once its done? it smells fantastic, a little like chocolate. I have read there is many things you can do with banana peel powder and nutricinal benifits, i would look into it before eating. I would certainly try some in a soap!!
Banana peel powder?!
that's right! Banana Peel Powder 🍌
And when used around your veggie plants, banana peel power!
This powder is good for prostate problems 2 spoon a day
Fixed naturally without side effects
