Let them wish the same. We understand their language but they aren't interested or there is no need for them to understand and learn our languages. By the way music is such a thing which touches the heart & convey the feelings directly, understanding lyrics is not important.
He is an undeclared Legend in Indian Singing, probably at the level of Smt Lataji or Rafi sahab. Beauty of pure classical training and hard work.

He should have got but didn't , baised award , given to Shankar Mahadevan for a raag based song which has no eternity like Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin by Sonu Nigam.
He doesn't need any technology, autotune, even music. He is always pitch perfect and probably the only singer who sounds better live than recording. He can sing any kind of song live. Living legend. He is so committed, he has been singing live for around 45 yrs ( since he was 4), yet he still does riyaaz. Nowadays you don't find such commitment. This is indian music culture, music is like a prayer to us.
Every person learning vocals should listen to him and watch him, his technique is flawless.

Had been to his concert in Sydney in 2017. He sounds better live. Also the way he interacts with the audience during his live performance, that's so awesome. I don't have the desire to attend anyone else's concert. Sonu Nigam is one gem that has truly been accepted, acknowledged, and adored the world over and rightly so has been identified as their own across countries, race, and religion. A truly great artist and an exceptional human being.

I never completed my classical training. Now I don't have the time to. And it's too late to take up singing as a profession. But in an alternate timeline, I'd like to see myself fighting my parents, and continuing that singing training that they made me leave.
