How to Make Berry Jam in an Instant Pot | Pip and Ebby

  • Make your next batch of jam in your instant pot without using any pectin! Pressure cooking jam is quick, easy and contains an extra touch of flavorful magic. Enjoy this delicious jam spread over toast, bagels, English muffins or use it to make your next peanut butter and jelly sandwich!
    ingredients:
    4 cups mixed fresh or frozen berries
    2 cups granulated sugar
    Juice of 1 lemon
    instructions:
    Combine all ingredients in an Instant Pot and let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes.
    Place the cover on the pot and set timer to 2 minutes on high pressure (pressure cook setting). It will take the IP around 17 minutes to build up pressure before it begins cooking.
    When cooking is done, let the pressure release naturally for 15 minutes then do a quick release.
    Remove cover and set to saute function. Bring mixture to a boil and let cook for 15-20 minutes (stir often) to thicken jam. Remove pan from heat and let cool. Pour into mason jars and store in the fridge.

    Great video interesting but i don’t know if it’s strawberry jam blackcurrant blackberry or what jam is it? I didn’t see you do a setting test. I am planning to do my first attempt of making a small batch in my pressure cooker. My reason for trying it with pressure cooker as i seem to have problems getting many jars. I am expecting 4/5 jars and end up with maybe just a couple of jars. due to getting setting point, i don’t put much sugar in don’t like to sweet

    It was delicious but...doesn't say in recipe what size cup so I went for small t cup but tbh you need large mugs i would say ....it was quite liquid

    That’s an awful lot of sugar. It’s not going to be any healthier than store bought jam 😟
