Not the closer, the opener! This fades into Jaded at the end. Honestly I fucking love this. I also adore their softer stuff (Eternal Blue is my top favorite song by them, for one) but I feel like we needed a heavy slapper from them lately.
I chuckle when someone says "old school Spiritbox." I only started listening to them recently so all their stuff sounds like Spiritbox to me. I think some people are bringing something to this experience and forcing a style on the band that doesn't actually exist. They don't have a "new sound" to me. These 3 new songs just sound like Spiritbox to me. There is no big shift. The Void is an upbeat Sew Me Up like song. Jaded is a refined Circle With me like song. And Cellar Door is a less melodic Belcarra type song. No big shift has occurred. They're just writing more Spiritbox songs in whatever genre they want.
@@Shsjier This exactly. Go back to their first EPs and videos and you'll find that creepy/horror/spooky theme throughout pretty much all their songs but the closer we got to Eternal Blue the less we got of it. I do agree that it's pretty funny to talk about 'old' Spiritbox as if they've released 10 albums though
Damn bro, you are on top of it. I just found your channel yesterday through your Take Me Back To Eden reaction, and appreciated your style enough that I went back and binged a ton of your reactions all evening and woke up to both a new Sb track and already a reaction posted lol.
I was woken up at 5am by my 2 year old so figured I may as well hop on and sort a reaction nice n early 😅 Thanks for stumbling across my channel, and I'm thrilled that you've enjoyed it enough to check out a few videos. At some point next week I'll be putting up album reactions to latest Polaris and Conquer Divide records.
Well I wouldn't say new they did a similar thing with their first song beauty of suffering and continued creepy aesthetics with belcarra and electric cross Good reaction tho 👍
Thanks for this feedback! Normally I do give a little more context at the start with how I'm anticipating the track but I had like 40 mins at 5:30am this morning to try checkout a few new songs that dropped today and yesterday so I sort of flew through them a bit 😅 But also, the vast majority of people skip over the intro section and just go straight to the reaction so I tend not to over-do the context bit generally.
So thiccc and gloomy and dense. Really liked this in contrast to the radio-friendliness of their other recent singles. I love balance and this shows that they’re not just seeking pure commercial appeal. I imagine there’s a lot of newer, more casual fans of theirs that might not be totally into this vibe. But for those of us that are a bit more versed in this sort of thing, it’s nice to see they still embrace a wider palette of sounds and they’re not afraid to paint with it. Very cool stuff. One of my favorites they’ve released to date.

Its because they used to have a horror theme and they've kinda gone away from that fir the last few years. Thats what people mean by old spiritbox

Their old stuff was a tad bit more progressive and darker, but you’re right not a huge style shift.
Love this band so much, never disappoints!
Friday the 13th is now Spiritbox day! 😂 love that they brought the dark, creepy vibes for this heavy banger.

This blew Holy Roller out of existence
Reminds me Belcarra, love it.
I listened to this and Jaded back-to-back and the background droning lines up pretty damn well.
nice, not done that yet myself
Cellar Door is like the end of Hysteria for the whole song.
yes, good link
Dude yesssssss
It feels like a sequel to Belcarra.
The pit is going to be crazy during this live

Good reaction tho 👍
Yes, I did reference that it has similarities to the older songs later in the video, but in terms of their newer sound… this was a new twist.
AMAZING
Love the shirt. Worship.
when I first heard this I thought this is too heavy for me but this is my 3rd time hearing this and I`m already into it
giving that guttural, unforgiving, old-school Norma Jean energy. I'm here for it
This is their live shows' opener these days... 'nuf said.
an intro before reaction telling us what you know or expect would be cool

Are you heavy still?!?!
SPIRITBOX = YES, WATCH THIS
🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥
#BANGER #HOLYSHIT
This song is opening the cellar door to the fear of fear ;)
I love when people say old school like if Spiritbox is as old as Slipknot 😭
I hate fadeouts but this has to be the best one ive ever heard, what a banger of a track!
Listen to the album "Hail Mary" by Iwrestledabearonce.
It's uncomfortably heavy with Courtney on vocals.

Not a huge SBox fan. But I don't like it honestly.
It's heavy but has hardly any grove or rhythm.
😂 “hardly any groove”. Ummm……give it another listen? Idk what to tell you besides you’re pretty far off with that assessment.
