Definitely going to be coming back to this vid when I swap my tire. Where’d you get the fender delete by the way?

Looking for a video doing this without the special tools,gadgets.. that most of us don't have

Hmmmm. A lot of these things are going to make it easier but you can have luck with breaking beads with a 2x4. Air pump to set the beads can be done with a hand pump but that might be a bit tough for certain tires. I swear by a tire wrap tho. But others have used ratchet straps with luck. Lube is cheap.

hey hey, make a video of the configuration from 0 , not everyone is fluent with the process of configuration a new board, etc 🙏🙏🙏☺️

Ufff. Not out of the question but that’s a tricky one. Maybe tho. There’s just a lot of configs that I set and forget. I’d really want to have all vesc knowledge dialed in before attempting.

This is great thank you! Any reason you did not use tire sealant?

@@BenjaminGuidry only reason I didn’t is because I’ve been doing so many tire changes recently and it would just be a mess changing em each time.
      I am a fan of Armor-dilloz tho!
      And thank you!

@@RIDE-o-REBELLION-o-FLOATCAST Gotcha! I ask because I'm a few minutes away from changing my floatwheel's tire and I wanted to make sure sealant was still part of the procedure. Appreciate the reply!

Why would you normally take a blow dryer to rhe motor plug? 😊

I'm so lazy dude, I don't even unplug my motor when changing the tire. 🤣
8 hub screws are all I undo. Cuts the whole process by 75%

There is 8 screws required to remove hub from rails. Unlatch cable from rail latch but leave plugged in. Pull excess cable from motor hub and set tire/hub on rails and the rest of the process is the same.
And you don’t have to be so mean on discord. Especially when I’m just giving you a tip.

@coolaiddeity but why? I could see that being possible but it's so easy to unplug/plug the motor cable.

    • @coolaiddeity
      @coolaiddeity 2 місяці тому

@@chrisc790 not when you have the connection waterproofed and also not so much when you don’t undo the rails. Hence why he basically completely disassembled the board, to make that part easier.
Why would you disassemble and unplug the motor when it’s unnecessary is the real “but why?” here, considering how many people bend their plug pins during this process.

Having changed my ADV tire, whether to unplug or not, the rail can stay on. Instead it tape, I waterproof plugs with dielectric grease instead of wrapping tape around it. That usually doesn’t keep water out but lets it in and then prevents it from drying. IMHO 🤗
Mounting brackets can stay on too. Just need a couple of wood blocks when putting the wheel on the floor or bench.
ADV tire change is much quicker than on FM Onewheels. 4 wheel bolts and 4 bracket screws and unplug. Voila! Great design, Tony! Thank you!! 🙏 ⭐️
And for bead breaking and getting the tire on and off without fancy tooling watch TFL’s GT tire change video. Jeff uses a 2x4. If you have an Indo Board, it’s a great bead-breaker! 😉
      Float on!! 🤙
