  • Wizard Amplification MTL 50 MK2 meets Friedman Amplification Naked MK2
    Guitar - Ken Lawrence Explorer
    Pickups - Arcane 13's
    CAB LEFT - Wizard 4x12 w. Celestion V30
    CAB RIGHT - Marshall 1960BX w. Celestion Alnico Cream 90W
    This is just a quick sample of some of the fun Im having during this lovely time quarantined. Together the wall of sound is pure high gain bliss. I just made this to share, yes the playing sucks, and yes the amps could be set better, and YES I could have turned off the effects. Get over it :)

    Not only do the amps sound great together, but the V30 and Creamback are soooo good when mixed

    Wow these two amps compliment each other very very well! I tend to like the Wizard more, sounds more mean. And I do like effects, hell yes!!

    I heard the Friedman Naked MK2 on another link and it sounded good....but compared to the Wizard and a side-by-side comparison....Wizard wins!!!
    As someone pointed out, you can definitely hear and tell the differences and together they compliment each other.
    I had the MTL here and demo'ed it. I didn't like it and very high frequency rich for a lead layer, but also, I found out from others, you can't play them at low volume, they have to be turned UP!!...which is a detriment, especially now-a-days when everyone is scaling down and people at venues to turn it DOWN!!!

      Agreed…..wish he ran them through the same cab (some sort of radial switcher maybe)…..that Wizard has something going on for sure

    How I looked forward to this video! Just the Dream setup. Wondering how it will sound on the extended scales and set up for complement each other and not to match

    Man! The Wizard does not mess around! Curious how much of the attack is cab related?

    • @Tiger1016.
      @Tiger1016. 3 роки тому

      The right speakers and cabs are a very important part of the overall tonal equation but what what you are talking about is the Wizard doing its thing. I finally broke down and recently picked up a MCI then MTL MK, both 100 watts. They both have more attack and punch than the Mark IIC+ that I still have and need to part ways with. And this is still quite apparent when running then through a load box, into IRs, then headphones for late night jams.

    Both the Wizard and the Friedman sound amazing but you can definitely pick out their differences! They actually compliment each other very nicely. I definitely don’t think one is more superior. They’re both VERY musical and brutal and do what they do best!! Very cool video Reza!! Sounds huge. I love it!!

      RezaMatix . I’ll have to do that . But ya it’s in guitar world magazine making of cowboys frim hell . Terry says they actually always had a tube amp thrown in on every song with the Randall’s. The Wizard he says was the usually culprit
