Lets clarify something. Doing business in any way that allows you to stay complaiant, and I cant stress this enough - is not unfair. To anyone. They or yourself may not like it but it dosen't make it unfair. So the Villas' and Chelseas' and Evertons' and Forests' and broke Uniteds' can all conduct their business while its made on a fair market value. Arsenals, Liverpools' can hate. But its not their party if they cant move like big clubs and have a business savvy

Mo with all due respect… you aren’t being objective at all to Chelsea and Aston Villa. You’re example to them and Newcastle does not add up. Chelsea and Aston Villa are completely separate entity with no shared ownership. Aston Villa priced Kellyman (which is their player and they have every right to put any price on him) at 20mil and Chelsea wanted to buy him. Just because a 3rd party website like TransferMarket valued the player at 1mil that means nothing. The value of a player is what the seller and buyer agree on. Not what a 3rd party website says. Newcastle is owned by Saudi right? Who owns Saudi Pro League? Saudi. So what you are saying for Newcastle to sell players like say an academy player for 60mil to Al Nassr or whatever team and loan them back. What does that mean? That’s the same ownership selling to itself. Chelsea and Aston Villa were never owned by the same entity. TransferMarket currently has Barella valued at 80mil euros. If a team buys Barella for 100mil that means there is corruption? By your logic it would be cause the 3rd party website valued the player lower than what he is sold for. Chelsea bought Enzo Fernandez for 105mil. Is he worth that? Absolutely not. Does that mean there was corruption behind the scenes? With your logic, has to be.
P.S. I don’t agree with many things current ownership did. In my eyes, they took a UCL competing club and destroyed it to build it back up in their “long term vision”. I’m not a fan of buying all these young talents because you cannot develop them all at once. I would’ve rather invest in the first team to compete at a high level and than look to buy young talents so they learn from the first team.

Maatsen didn’t want to go back to Burnley, rightfully so. He spent a year at Dortmund and played in a UCL final. It makes sense for his value to go up being a finalist in the UCL. Is your issue with Kellyman being sold for 20mil?
