Kudus is the answer he is really that guy and doesn’t come in to make the numbers but to become a go to guy that’s what you look for if you have goals of winning the league not guys coming in to blend in or be back up
Well Havertz is also multipractic. He can do all and play in every position but he does not excel in any. This might be also problem with Kudus - to find his best position and play him there.

How did we not sign Kudus last summer on the cheap.
The amount of emphasis Turkish puts on Martinelli’s dip in form is astonishing. We should remember he was paying well last season bcoz of Xhaka and Zinchenko. Both of them were absent and he had minimal support this season.
His dip in form actually started from last season (second half). Since then, he has not recovered.

Kudus had offers from Arsenal, Man Utd & Chelsea but choose West Ham on instant and the long term project, he has ambition and wants to play, coming to Arsenal he would be competing against Saka, who started 37/38 games last two seasons, he doesn't want to sit on the bench, he wants to play, he made his decision for himself, not to make @ClmDunn from the Internet happy 🙄

For me Perfect window would be:
Buy - Nico Williams, Alexander Isak and Xavi Simons.
Sell - Ramsdale (If he want so leave. If not keep him), Cedric, Smith Rowe, Elneny, Nketiah, Tavares, Lokonga and Tierney (Maybe Kiwior).
If we could sell all these players we could even go for one more defender. Or we could just keep Kiwior in case we need him to step in for some one.

Elneny &Cedric ended contracts, not getting anything for Tierney because he is injured again and he has last year of contract. Only assets Arsenal has are Nketiah, Ramsdale and ERS, maybe Nelson, Lokonga to sell. It's still quite significant amount of possible sales. And Arsenal not paying 150M for Isak. Forget it

@@singalexsong When we go attacking we have Zinchenko inverting to midfield with 2 attacking midfielders. Just like we played most of the last season. By trying to put Havertz next to Ødegaard or Trossard. So Simons would fit right in.
When we need to go Defensive we have Partey coming in. Then Our 6 is Petey and our 8 becomes Rice.
Remember we always have an inverting Left back so we have someone helping out Rice even if we go attacking. At least in my opinion of course.
85 million for Kudus is madness. I’m taking Mitoma from Brighton ahead of Kudus I’m sorry.
My choice will be Eze, Kudus and a good central midfielder, total of 170m max which should bring our net spending to equilibrium or 5m

I love Kudus as well and highlights our longterm problem. Always one player short and 40 mill. Both he and Bruno G we that amount, and we left unsigned.
Why can we not sign Nico Williams? He is just on fire with bags of potential! I know we like Martinelly, but Gaby needs to step up big time in comparison.

I love Kudus but the fact that it's almost certain we won't get him seems like a waste of a discussion. He hasn't even been at West Ham for a year lol let's move on guys
To know what we need is to analyse why we lost the games we did
Arsenal should get Eze (60m), Nico Williams (55m), Kudus (85m), califiori (40m) = 240m spent. Sell Nketiah (35m), Lokonga (18m), Reiss Nelson (12m), Ramsdale (40m) = 105m ..... net spend of 135m....not bad if we actually have 200m to spend. I would consider selling ESR too or trading him for either kudus or Eze.....but bringing all 4 of those players in would be the ideal window. Jesus, Havertz, Kudus and Martinelli could try their hand as striker/centre forward but with those additions the squad would be well rounded and we keep partey too!
The Kudus bias is crazy! Just because you like Kudus doesn’t mean he is the answer. He does a bad press, and similar to Jesus in terms of unpredictability. The unpredictability might be a blessing and a curse. Blessing because goals can be fashioned out of nowhere in tight games and a curse because you sometimes lose fluidity with such players because their passes/combinations might be out of sync with their teammates. Kudus is also heavily left footed, making him more prone to cut inside if he is on the right wing. His energy in games wax and wanes; you get periodic bursts and lulls.
My choice in your list is Nico Williams; two-footed, can play both wings, pacy, agile,, energetic, younger, trainable to potential world class player and would suit us more if we get a striker. We desperately need a striker more than we need a winger but if we have the chance to do both, Williams with a striker is a better package than Kudus on its own or Kudus with a striker.
I'm looking for a LB a CM and a Striker for me the balance wasn't right timba I think is possible but not sure he's a wing back 👊

We must buy a striker with at least decent numbers... as much as I like Havertz for his e2e game, with perseverance and contribution in forward play, he likely not the main scorer that we needed to win PL title. Not the one who win tricky games with moments of brilliance.... btw, as a bonus, players who could score from 25 yards would be great addition. Be him a forward or MF... 💪💪
I think we should go for Kudus if not then Simmons and move Martinelli as the central striker, I think his moment upfront will suit us

I also feel when you sign a Nico Williams i think you also need an elite striker because Nico Williams is predominantly an assister then a goalscorer and with Kai Harvetz who i rate knows willnnot score every chance Williams will give
I don't know if the type of player matters anymore, in that i mean sesko is obviously a very different striker to osimhen but im certain in artetas system they would be asked to do the same thing. I think coaches look for whether that players has particular skills can fit into the strategy and system.

Kudus is a little too heads down for me. Similar to Martinelli they struggle with effecting the game beyond having the ball at their feet. You won't expect key passes or general 1 touch play.

What's the latest news on Gabriel Jesus? He was left out of Brazil's Copa America squad, I'm assuming mostly due to lack of fitness and game time at the end of the season.

In my eyes its not rocket science. We are solid at the back. So we don't need to do anything there IMO. All we need is 3 players:
We buy a Winger and a Striker. Than we sell a player there and here and then we go for a midfielder. That's all we need. 3 players should be doable.

If we go attacking we play Zinchenko. If we need to go defensive we go with Tomiyasu. If something happens to Saliba we put Ben White in there with Timber or Tomiyasu as a right back. We have options if most of them are fit. Big IF tho :D

Even Tomiyasu could do the job he is tall strong and both footed. I don't really see a CB as a priority. We literally had the best defence last season and that is even with Timber out.

I honestly don't know why Dominic Solanke is not on Arsenal's radar. Right age, PL ready, goal scorer, and will not break the bank. We cannot rely solely on Havertz. Nketiah is likely to leave and Jesus doesn't score enough goals.

@@therealhb1763 I believe Solanke still can. He's 26, turning 27 later this year. He scored 19 goals with Bournemouth this season. Imagine him contributing those goals at Arsenal. I believe Arteta can bring the best out of him, and a team like Arsenal will create loads of opportunities for him to score goals.
