As-salaamu Alaykum, I am convert to Islam from Australia. I became a Muslim about 8 years ago. The "Salafi" brothers latched on to me and offered me brotherhood. No one else at the masjid would spend their time to mentor me, even though they were so excited to see a new convert/revert, but the " Salafi " brothers seemed genuine. I was a baby Muslim, they taught me how practice the basics of deen and the sound methodology of the 3 righteous generations. All of a sudden things started to change and brothers had no Sabr with each other anymore. Then came the declarations of Innovators and guilty by assocation, until finally it devolved into an all out war of Takfir. This nonsense drove me away. I was so disalussioned and confused that my Aqidah started to become distorted. I've been struggling for 6 years now and only just started slowly and cautiously coming back to the minhaj. This brother Abu Taymiyyah is really helping me. He is trying to clean up what has been dirtied and tarnished by those that claim to be following the way of the Salaf al-Ṣāliḥ, but don't display it in their interactions with others.

So many people fall into this form of extremism of “salafiya” dawah and it’s so tiring and upsetting. I'm so grateful that Allah guide me to watch this video, Thank you so much for this clear explanation brother , Obviously, I knew nothing about Salafiyya, I was only have these hate, ignorant and negative thinking towards this word, Idk it all was deeply in my mind , but Alhamdulillah your explainetion has literally clear everything to me . And from now inshallah I will do my best to follow the Qur’an and the Sunnah upon the understanding of the righteous salaf, I ask Allah Swt to reward you for every benefit I learned from you and may he use you always as a point of guidance for many of us, Ameen ...
Brothers and sisters, please keep yourself away from any ahzaab or any group of people act partisanly even if they claims Salafiya , Do not let any labels distortions and lies fool you, This is a reminder for me first! these sects distortion and attack manhaj Al-salaf al-saleh and confused truth with falsehood! Don't consider Salafiya to be similar to these misguided parties.. Salafiyya it simply the true way to follow Islam, follow al-salaf al-sālih (“the pious predecessors”), a term designating the first three generations of Muslims, The best people livied in first generation, then those coming after them, then after them, that's it, And whoever goes against it and deviates from the Sunnah is an innovator, as the Prophet peace be upon him warned us about. , it's not that extrem at all as u think it is. May Allah forgive me for my ignorant and keep us upon the truth .

I was in the Salafi masjid in Birmingham for Jummah. It was my first time there, I attended a Janaza which was being held there. It was cool, the brothers were nice and were smiling. However, I met one brother who asked me when I found Salafia. I told him I don't identify myself as such, I'd much rather focus on actions and behaviour instead of labels, titles, and sects. He looked confused, like when you fall asleep and wake up and momentarily aren't quite sure where you are lol. I'm a revert, I entered Islam free from the influence of culture or sectarianism. I'm also very vigilant in what information I receive from people. May Allah keep me on the straight path

Bro nominal affiliation to “Salafiyyah” is not an obligation of the religion, nor one of its pillars, and whoever abandons that, there is no sin on him. Rather, he has not abandoned a virtue or an honorable prophetic Sunnah, All scholars agreed that you do not need to say about yourself explicitly Salafi. Only if you need that if there are many sects and parties, to separate yourself from them..., other wise You literally doesn't need to at all it's not obligation of the deen of Allah,
The Almighty said: It is He who has named you Muslims [Al-Hajj: 78].
Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen - رحمه الله - said: "There is no doubt that it is obligatory for all Muslims that their doctrine be the doctrine of the Salaf, not to belong to a specific party called the Salafists, and it is necessary for the Islamic nation to have its doctrine the doctrine of the righteous predecessors, not to side with the so-called Salafists, for there is the way of the Salaf. “And there is a party called the Salafis, and what is required is to follow the Salaf. Not these sects ”
[Books and Letters of Ibn al-Uthaymeen: 34/8].
those who created a new bidah by using this word as if it an obligation in the deen and exploited it for interests and to establish a slogan for themselves !
while their teach and their manners are against what the manhaj of salaf is which agenist Islam.
Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen رحمه الله said about it :
“As for taking Salafism as merely a slogan that misleads the Muslims who oppose it, even if they are right, and taking Salafism as a partisan approach, there is no doubt that this is contrary and against the Salaf"

We have around 14 centuries of scholarship and tradition we can follow, inextricably linking us to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). We don’t follow any particular scholar or a small group, rather we follow an entire tradition and methodology. This is the Jam’ah: the greater majority following the way of the Prophet and his companions. So long as a Muslim follows this way, he will be guided in sha Allah.

Salafiyyah is arabic term. basically means understanding the religion the way of the salaf as-salih. If you don't follow the salaf, then what religion are you following? The sectarianists want you to hate Salafiyyah and the salafis for their own political gain. May Allsh persevere and continue to bless the salafis upon the manhaj of the salaf as-salih.

    As-Salaamu Alaykum, Wa-Rahmatullaahi, Wa-Baraakatahu Ustaadh.
Allahumma Baarik, Masha'Allah Ustaadh for this video.
I remained silent & patient & had faith in you while you were getting attacked with all of these claims / slanders etc.
May Allah Aza-Wa-Jal grant you strength & steadfastness & patience.
May Allah Aza-Wa-Jal forgive you for all your sins & short-comings.
May Allah Aza-Wa-Jal reward you for making this video & for everything that you have done.
    (Ameed Ya Rabb)
Jazak'Allah Khairan for making this video full of gems / knowledge / wisdom / clarifications.
After watching this video, I, sincerely for the sake of Allah Aza-Wa-Jal, i love you (as a brother) even more.
Alhamdulillah, by the permission of Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta-Aala, i learned / studied Kitaab At-Tawheed via online program (MSG) from Jan 2021 & Alhamdulillah, I am grateful that you were the Ustaadh that taught me (& many others) this book.
I was 30+ years old at the time. I was born a Hanafi / Deobandi but had been striving upon the path of Salafiyyah for 5+ years at the time & wanted to seek knowledge & especially Tawheed.
I felt sad & hurt when you spoke about being attacked. The patience that you showed is something special. Not many would have shown the patience you showed.
May Allah Aza-Wa-Jal guide the individual that assaulted you. If Allah decrees otherwise, May Allah Aza-Wa-Jal deal with that individual in a manner that befits His Majesty (Subhana-Wa-Ta-Aala).
Keep going Ustaadh, Keep striving. Keep benefitting. Keep calling the people to Tawheed.
Keep giving reminders, lectures, khutbahs etc.
    Keep being steadfast / patient.
Ustaadh is not perfect but i can see that he is clearly trying his utmost best.
The haters should not be quick to judge him / label him / attack him etc.
It's almost as if the haters are waiting for a mistake / slip-up etc.
This mindset is an evil mindset.
I sinceely advise the haters/critics to critique your fellow muslims with knowledge (based refutations) & with manners.
Also, to understand the context & be fair & just in your critique.
However, sincerely (to the haters), please do not hate / oppress your fellow muslims by quickly labelling them x , y , z etc.
Do not slander, them & do not make false accusations / claims / allegations etc.
Like Ustaadh mentioned in this video, have mercy on them & be patient if anyone errs / has short-comings.
Seek clarifications if you must, privately / publically but do it so in a respectable manner.
I know the "other" group. Alhamdulillaah Allah Aza-Wa-Jal saved me from that group.
I respect them but i really dislike their toxic culture of harshness, aggression, almost coercive controlling behaviour etc
It can be scary & intimidating.
They have some good but they also have a disease in their hearts by the behaviour they have shown.
I pray that Allah Aza-Wa-Jal guide these people with the best of manners & remove this disease & toxic culture they are portraying.
Finally, Ustaadh Abu Taymiyyah, you have nothing to prove to these people.
Whether these people are with you or against you.
Your case lies with Allah Aza-Wa-Jal.
If after this video, the haters wont relent & want to continue to bark, let them bark while you (Ustaadh) continue to benefit & call the people to Tawheed & teach the people to Tawheed.
Keep up all the fantastic work you do (Ustaadh) & i sincerely pray & hope that more people continue to benefit from your teachings / lectures espcially of Kitaab At-Tawheed & many other work that you have been doing & (Insha'Allah) continue to do.

    Assalamu Alaikum Sheikh Abu Taymiyya,
I wanted to take a moment to express my profound gratitude for your recent lecture addressing the current challenges within our community, especially among our Salafi brothers.
Your dedication to tackling such sensitive and critical issues is both inspiring and much needed.
Your comprehensive explanation over the course of more than five hours demonstrates your commitment to unity and understanding in Islam
and you have really taken a brave step towards fostering a more cohesive and respectful environment in Islam especially among the Sunni/Salafi brothers.
The emphasis you placed on handling differences of opinion with wisdom and compassion is a vital reminder for all of us.
It's a crucial aspect of our faith to respect and understand one another, even when we disagree.
I can go on typing because your efforts in this long hour video and the principles you brought are invaluable.
May Allah reward you abundantly for your efforts, grant you strength, and protect you from any harm.

This video touched a nerve. What you have said is so true. I discovered Salafiyyah with these brothers. We used to be on the road together united. Even before I became Muslim these brothers backed me when they were not practicing. But after we all became Salafi the group split apart. The reason we split apart is because they became influenced by those Salafis against you. They stopped talking to me, tried to refute me and even make duaa against me because I praised and listened to other Salafi brothers they considered innovators. In fact one of them is very big online and publicly against you and the Salafis with you. They even established a known masjid in London establishing the youth to be against you and Salafis with you. Another freeed himself from myself and other brothers and also became big within Salafi circles as a Salafi student of knowledge and helped to establish another masjid in London (different from the one mentioned earlier) again establishing the youth against you and Salafis with you. So I know what you are saying is a FACT.
They have harmed the dawah and weakened Salafiyyah in the west, chased others out of Salafiyyah. They are the ones that have caused others to incorrectly label Salafis as Madkhalis.
They have misunderstood matters of jarh wa tadeel, tabdi, boycotting, setting with Ahlu Bidah, issues we can differ on/issues you can not differ on, calling yourself Salafi, hizbiyyah, taqleed, brotherhood etc.
These misunderstanding have made them accuse others of watering down Salafiyyah when they have not. They have even labelled some as innovators when they are Salafi and have boycotted students of knowledge, masjids and institutions/organisations who are in fact Salafi.
    May Allah Reward You. Ameen.

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. Thank you so much for choosing to explain this topic. As a revert who was seeking knowledge I hace stumbled upon a book store owned by individuals who call themselves salafis and I was taken aback that they warned me not to listen to anyone else other than their imams (they own a salafi masjid too) that includes Abu Taymiyah, Abdul Rahman Hassan etc. They were very negative towards anyone else other than their own people, expressing that you should not even communicate with people that don't share their views. Sounded like a cult. It was not the Islam that I have found by reading Qur'an and hadiths. It was all about isolating and badmouthing people of different views than them. They said their masjid is the only one that is right. Alhamdoulilah I used my brain and double checked it all. Allah has saved me from misguidance, Alhamdoulilah.

I too am a convert of 17 years and I can tell you that the entire Salafi movement is a heretical sect. This internal bickering amongst them is what happens with all sects: once they break away from Sunni authority which has been held together by a very consistent set of principles (usul), they reconstruct a new conception of religious authority which is bound to degenerate into bickering as each subgroup pushes their interpretation over the other. Take my advice and do what Muslims have done for 1,200 years: follow a maddhab of fiqh (Hanbali, Maliki, Shafi'i and Hanafi) and of aqida (Hanbali, Maturidi, Ash'ari). Try to read the classical books of tazkiyyah and if you deem it necessary ask Allah to guide you to a Sheikh one of the few remaining authentic tariqas that haven't degenerated into cults. Stay with the vast majority (not in your town, or your favourite websites, but with what most Muslims have adhered to for most of our history) and you'll be safe. If you need further help, I have a pastoral care program for converts. Get in touch ❤

Lol. Salafis are a hoax. They do not represent the true way of the Salaf. This whole idea of “following the Qur’an and Sunnah and the understanding of the Salaf” is merely a euphemism for “jumping over and attempting to avoid the bridge of Ijtihaad instead of crossing it.”

      Alhamdulillah bro
I only advise you to stay away from any" tahazub", any group of people act partisanly leave them immediately, whatever their names was, Always come back to the books of our Salaf yourself, Always try to read, read their books, they all available now with in any place or area, Use the books and lectures of the salaf as your source of reference always, Don't let any name fool you. These hezbees only attack Islam and the true way of the salaf by use this word and distorted it,
So glad you found the right path, may Allah Az'aa Wa'jjal keep you and us upon the truth until we die Akhi.

May Allah azaa wajjal reward brother / Ustadh Abu Taymiyyah for his patience & protect him for his work, he certainly has benefitted me / his Islamic lectures.
    Either way he's beautiful!
He speaks the truth in accordance to the Quran and the Sunnah. Indeed holding on to our deen & islamic values & speaking out the truth is like walking on fire now..
We come across narcissistic & soulless and deviant souls everywhere now.
What I'm trying to say is they are toxic people everywhere even within our own circles, but we have to let them go - to their own amends and path of destruction, as hidayat does not come to everyone.
We do not have control over every one.
Allah azza wajjal knows who has gone astray /on the path of destruction and those who has received guidance.
May Allah azza wajjal make us one of them & protect our generations to come and keep them on the path of the deen, inshallah.
Pls make dua for me Ustadh!

Finally an Ustādh who will address this extremely extremely extremely important topic in English and in very simplified terms without leaving out the essential tenets and Principles !!!!!
I listened once to a 1hr+ lecture in Arabic by Sheikh Rayyis explaining why it is not as simple as this. You can't kick someone out of the manhaj because he is speaking to a non Salafi. Despite what Spubs claim and act upon since decades !!
We have seen Spubies misunderstanding of the Deen on this issue of "sitting with innovators issues" spreading like wildfire.
And the lack of علم knowledge amongst the non Arabic speakers makes it impossible for them to understand that this is not so simple and this is not a blanket rule !!!!!!!!
It is a lot more complex than this
    This is pure Haddadiyyah
And Spubies are the epitome of Haddadiyah in the West
    .....
May Allāh reward you abundantly for addressing this topic

Good words, I pray that the shabab take heed. Some du'at such as 'Ali T., Jamal Z., and others were saying the same quotes and similar from Ibn Taymiyyah in the 90s and warning of the tabdi' of the madakhilah. Most of the madkhalis did not listen back then, but some started to realize the mistakes of this cult and split from them. Good work Abu Taymiyyah, keep studying and sharing your knowledge and growth.

My main problem with modern Salafis is they spend about 90% of their time going after other muslims who are their brothers in faith, and a good 10% actually preaching islam and spreading knowledge. A certain Salafi on UA-cam’s main problem, is his channel is Exposed this, Exposed that, why you shouldn’t listen to Abu Taymiyyah and this and that, but their method is just like the christians; bash islam all day, and people will listen to US. If you are upon the truth, you don’t have to bash others and prove them wrong, just prove what you are upon as right. Allah will take care of the rest. This in itself is the first sign of how flawed the “salafiyyah sect” is.
May Allah have mercy upon you Abu Taymiyyah, and keep you rightly guided. Ameen.

Manhaj A salaf is the our manhaj is the only true main manhaj to follow Islam, the way that our sahaba practice Islam and the first ganrration after them and the next one. And the way our scholars too. But it is not a slogan .those who been extrem and created a new sect by using this word and exploited it for interests and to establish a slogan for themselve! while their teach and their manners are against what the manhaj of Salafi is which agenist Islam,.they do nothing but fitnah and divent between muslims! Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen - رحمه الله- said: “As for taking Salafiyya as a mere slogan that misleads those who oppose it among the Muslims even if they are right, and taking Salafism as a partisan approach, there is no doubt that this is a contradiction and against the Salaf"
May Allah Swt protect us from their fitnah and keep us upon the Haqq.
