i love watching your vids Chris, the quality of what you put out (Dom too) is great. Very nice perch. I've gone through a bit of a dearth in my fishing lately with more follows and hits than actual landed fish. Never mind your vids always inspire me to get back out.

Great video bud,had my first ever lure caught perch and Jack couple of days ago in Loughborough on the Soar, missed a much bigger pike and smaller perch. But there's no better fishing than lure rovering.
Hi these video’s you film are very interesting and show what can be caught from shallow streams. The only stream I have access to is slower but barely 12 ins deep. Most of my fish are caught on freelined baits and I haven’t managed any perch even on worms! I think I will have to don the chesties and get in there! Even as an experienced angler I’m learning from these so please keep doing them. Regards Bill
hi bill, try a dropshot rig but with real live worms, always a good tactic for perch i even had a small barbel doing it. let it trudle around the swim like a light link ledger that doesnt hold bottom
BUSHCRAPPING hi that is how I do it as I found that the perch held on to the bait. I haven’t had a two pounder yet but as I only rarely fish this method is not surprising !
Try berkley nymph on offset hook weightles and Keitech swimbait with just a lit led wire on hook for weight,fly fishing weighted wire. because of smell and taste perch hold it and you get good hooking ratio
Tom Sweeney Hi only trouble is at my age with my health jumping in and out of rivers is a problem. Getting in is ok it’s getting out can be a problem, but I still do it from time to time
Enjoyed seeing you waid thru the river, nice landing net very handy and perfect for roving, some lovely perch too got to love a nice perch, i bet its nice wading thru the river like that more in your own kind of world, tight lines and wet knees! :)

Like the look of the lures , the more natural looking brown ones remind me of my favourite perch lure. Stanley the stickleback they are deadly
